The technician arrived on time and completed the inspection and tune up promptly.

Mike was extremely professional, knowledgable and did a great job! On time and courteous! This guys deserves a raise! We had them come out at almost 11pm when we returned from a trip and they got our furnace up and running again. Very thankful for them coming out so late.

Received a call at work about noon on 12/31/12 from my son who indicated the house was a balmy 58 and he could not seem to get the furnace to kick in. I came home, attempted what I knew to get the furnace to run without success. I first called another company who installed an air conditioner unit 1.5 years ago for me. They indicated I would need to wait until Wednesday, 1/2/13 for a diagnosis. I told them this was not accceptable and called Airtron who was the original installer of the furnace in 1996. They told me they would send someone ASAP and there was someone at my home within 1.5 hours of my call. Matt Curtis diagnosed the situation originally as a faulty ignitor and replaced it only to find it still would not work. Next, he indicated it needed a new control board. Given the prices for the ignitor and control board, I was up to approximately $1000. I made the decision to replace the 17 year old furnace , for a cost of $3625 less a $125 Angie's List discount and future $250 rebate from the gas co. A replacement date was set for 1/2/13 while Matt called around for portable heaters we could borrow. He received a call from the office that John Hill, an installer, was willing to replace our unit the same day. Keep in mind this was New Years Eve. John arrived about 5 pm after stopping by the warehouse to pick up the unit I indicated I desired. He began by laying a protective paper over the area he would be utilizing and went to work. Approximately 3 hours later, he had completed the job and we were once again enjoying an Indiana winter from the inside without our hats, coats and gloves. Kudo's to Airtron and the men who came to my home for their professionalism and courtesy in our time of need. While I have yet to do a cost comparison to see where Airtron's pricing compares to a competitor's, I was reminded by Matt that Airtron will pricematch a competitor's written quote for 30 days. Thus, I graded them an "A" for pricing, even though it may take more work than I would like to actually determine if I received a decent quote and to price adjust if the need exists.

The same diodes they installed blew again the next season. Since I knew what had been replaced, I found the same parts on my own and did the work myself, at $5 per diode. It's now 12 years later, same furnace, same parts I put in and have not had an issue since. I appreciate them diagnosing the problem, just felt they gouged me on the cost of the parts and decieved me saying I needed a new furnace. My house is total electric and in the winter months my bill only gets to $225-$250 a month. It would have taken decades to recoup any investment on a new furnace, and would have to be the upmost best in quality high furnace to lower my heat bill any further.

Technicians came to inspect, clean and test the furnace and heat pump for the winter heating season. Tech was the same one I had back in the summer for the A/C system, was professional and courteous, all seems well. And, with the coupon from Angie's List got it done at a great price!

It took a couple of weeks for them to come out for my biannual check but scheduling was easy and fit my schedule. Repairman came out and immediately noticed that my blower fan wasn't coming on correctly. It took him a little while to figure out what was wrong but he eventually accurately diagnosed a short in the wiring harness and replaced it for $320. He seemed very honest and forthright while never choosing to "gouge" me for some unnecessary repairs just because he could. Airtron has always exemplified integrity and professionalism. A good company with good employees.

If I had to describe our experience with Airtron, I would say it was excellent all the way. Our air conditioner began to fail on Sunday, June 24. We called them to come on Monday. The technician arrived for the appointment and said he thought the inside coil was failing. He immediately called their salesman Ray to set up an appointment for a new air conditioner. Ray arrived promptly on Wed. June 27. He answered all of our questions about the air conditioner, and we ended up deciding to replace our furnace as well since the furnace was 26 years old so both of these appliances would be high efficiency. As Ray sat at our dining room table, he emailed a quote to us for the cost of the new air conditioner and furnace. We decided to get a few more bids from several other companies. However, another company was not only late with their bid but did not know the proper specifications for the installation of the new PVC flues which needed to be installed for a high efficiency furnace. By the next week, our air conditioner had completely failed, and it was 92 degrees or more inside our house and was around 105 degrees outside. We emailed Ray on July 4 (a holiday) to tell him we accepted his bid and wanted Airtron to install the air conditioner and furnace if they could install it in two days. Ray answered the email on a holiday and said Airtron would be there in two days to do the installation. On the scheduled day, the installer Matt arrived before 9 a.m. and by 6 p.m. Matt had taken the old air conditioner and furnace out and installed the new air conditioner and furnace. Because our house had been so hot for a week or so, it took at least two days to get cool. The new digital thermostat is wonderful as well as the new air conditioner. Airtron did an A+ job and saved us from death by heat. We have had excellent service from Airtron for 26 years through the yearly maintenance agreement and are very glad to continue this service in the future. Everyone involved from the initial technician (Greg) to the salesman (Ray) to the installer (Matt) deserves a raise for excellent customer service and installation. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs an air conditioner and/or furnace.

They were fine. There wasn't anything outstanding or negative about when that came out and they solve the problem.

Our air conditioning unit stopped working so we called to have someone take a look at it. The man who arrived was very professional and great to work with. He showed up on time and I had no issues with the service he provided. He told us that our compressor was bad, and that he would be sending someone else out to quote a new compressor and new unit. He said the gentleman would be out at 6 PM EST on Saturday. The man never showed up and no one ever called to let us know that he would not be able to make it. I called in on Monday to see if someone could still come to give us a quote. I knew it was a holiday, but thought that if someone could not make it out that they would arrange for someone to come on Tuesday. The lady on the phone showed no record that someone was supposed to have came to our house on Saturday, and said that someone would be calling later that day. Again, NO ONE CALLED OR SHOWED UP all day on Monday. On Tuesday, a representative called to see about having someone come out. Instead of admitting that they made a mistake, she blamed the issue on having the wrong phone number, EVEN THOUGH SHE WAS CALLING THE RIGHT NUMBER WHEN SHE REACHED US. I do not appreciate someone making up reasons for the ball being dropped. I would rather someone just be honest and say that a mistake was made, or that the tech preferred to celebrate all weekend instead of making calls. If I had known someone couldn't show up until Tuesday I would have at least not worried about waiting around all weekend for someone to come. It has been a very frustrating experience.

We noticed on saturday afternoon that the air conditioner had stopped working. We had a service contract with a company, not Airtron, and had them come out to diagnose the problem. We found out that the compressor had failed and that we needed a new air conditioner. We had the service tech let the sales department know that we needed to have a new air conditioner installed, and he said someone would call us when possible. We also called 2 other companies including Airtron. We have a 10 month old son and it was supposed to be in the low 90's again the next day, Sunday. Ultimately Airtron was the only company that could promise that they could have a new air conditioner installed on Sunday. So less than 24 hours after we called them over a weekend we had our new air conditioner installed. The techs were earlier than expected with is a nice change, they were clean and professional. Overall it was a great experience from Airtron. We will be exclusively using them in the future.

Initial AC breakdown required a temporary fix, which they did same day as the breakdown/call. Scheduled an instal of a new unit 2 weeks later. Installers were on time, professional, and efficient. Replacement was and easy instal since unit sizes were comparable. Recommended same size/efficiency, didn't try to up-sell to a very expensive high efficiency unit.

All of the technicians are very open and friendly. They always explain everything they are doing. They come between noon and five. But they always let me know a half hour ahead.
