The service went well. He easily diagnosed a problem with the breaker. One technician came out and completed the job in less than 30 minutes. He was punctual and friendly. They made sure to wear booties in the house. He was very knowledgeable and gave good information about the model of my unit. He explained it is an old model that is bad for the environment. I had no problem scheduling the deal.

Airtron is very responsive. Called when they said they would.. Was going to use Angie's List $89 free service call coupon but I opened my ValuPak envelope in the morning and they had a coupon for $89 free service call and $50 off of repair which is why my repair was only $72. Repair tech quickly found why stage 2 was not working correctly. Highly recommend based on their response to emails, calling and personable service tech.

Furnance broke down in the middle of January freezing temps and Airtron made every effort to obtain and install new furnance ASAP. All employees involved were very caring and concerned. Very satisfied with the installation. They also had a payment plan which took the burden off of what could have been a very stressful situation.

I called Airtron at 6:00am, as soon as the office opened, because I had a very noisy furnace (heat was working though). The operator (who was very courteous and professional) gave me three times slots to choose from that same day and I selected the soonest: 8-12. The service technician was there by 8, if not before. The service tech was very straight forward and identified what was causing the loud noise I was hearing. The tech gave me 3 options: 1) repair it ($1,000); 2) replace just the furnace ($2,200); or 3) replace the whole system ($5,600). He talked me through the pros and cons of each option without pressuring me one way or another. Ultimately I chose to replace the whole system since it was 12 years old and showed some significant wear that repairs alone wouldn't fix (I've only been in the house 5 years, so I don't know how the previous owner(s) maintained the system for the first 7). I made the decision to replace the system around 9:00. They scheduled the installer to be there between 12-4p (yes, the same day!) and estimated it would take 3-5 hours to install. By 10:15 they had called me back and said an installer was free earlier than expected, and he showed up around 11:00. By 2:00, he was finished and I had a brand new system. It was probably just good fortune on my part, but I'm so used to service running behind schedule that is was great to have everything go my way today! A few things to note: 1) the service tech that came out was 1 of 2 people in the company that service AND quote new equipment, so don't necessary expect that every time. Usually they have to send someone else out to give you a quote. 2) It was icy in the morning and my installer couldn't make it to his first appointment due to road conditions and traffic. My fortune, in this case, was someone else's misfortune.

It went very well. The installer was organized, knew his job, kept everything clean, talked me through all of my questions and was well experienced in his job.

Upon initial inspection, they informed me that I would need a new limit on the motor for my furnace and would need to order the part, which would take a few days. I was told the heat should work in the meantime until the part arrived. I had heat for the next 3 days but then arrived home to a cold house on the 4th day. I called Airtron that evening and was informed the part should arrive the following day. The next morning I called to check on the status of the part and was told it would definitely arrive that day and they would immediately call me when it arrives due to my house being 48 degrees. By 4:30pm I hadn't received a call, so I called again and was informed that the part had arrived but they thought I still had heat despite my calling 2 times previously. The man I spoke with said he would give me a callback if someone was able to come out that evening. I received a return call quickly in which he told me someone would be available that night. I confirmed I would receive a call 30-45 minutes prior as I was going to work until the tech was dispatched to my house. I received a call at 7:30pm from the tech stating he was in my housing addition and needed assistance to my home. I didn't receive a call in advance. When I arrived at my home, it was discovered the limit was not the reason for the heat not working. They had to order a circuit board and requested an additional $494 payment. The next day after speaking with the supervisor, it was determined not to charge the extra fee due to being without heat for so long and initial misdiagnosis. The circuit board arrived the next day and I've had heat for the past week! It was a rough road, but very happy with the outcome and sincerity of all the techs at Airtron!

I got estimates from three companies and Airtron was the best value. The sales rep was also the most helpful in answering questions and provided the most accurate information. I felt he was very straightforward and this was the biggest reason they got my business. The installer did a thorough job. Overall, I am very pleased with Airton. I can't say the same about the other two companies i dealt with, despite their A ratings on Angies List.

I purchased a HVAC maintenance for $59. The entire experience was great. I purchased the deal and received an immediate call from Airtron Confirmed they'd received my purchase and to confirm my appointment. They showed up as indicated, calling about 20-30 min ahead of time. My tech, Brian was very professional, he took the time to explain what he was going to do as part of the service, listed to my concerns and his communicated the results of what he found, throughout the process. I am a new homeowner and he did a great job calming my nerves, he even shoes me how to used thermostat, yes I needed hos help with that too and he didn't look like he thought I was completely insane :). I'd recommend highly Airtron and especially my tech, Brian. They are my go-to service company for my HVAC needs.

Absolutely wonderful service man. Wore booties every time he came into the house. One of the furnaces in the attic was very difficult to access, but he did a great job and even discovered one of the ducts had separated from the furnace! Found that our heat pump was iced up and not working, but was able to get it working again. Gave me a quote on getting it fixed should it happen again. Advised me to change one of the filters. Changed the filter pad on the humidifier. Fixed the ducts coming off of the furnace in the attic. He was here almost three hours (on a Saturday) and did a fantastic job. I'm relieved to know, before the cold weather sets in, that we are set to go! I have used Airtron several times. They recently put in a coil in my furnace and also installed a new air conditioner. They are professional, courteous, and knowledgeable!

Great, performed all expected services, plus more and provided a detailed report

My experiences with Airtron have been very positive. They have been very courteous and professional with very good communication both in setting up the appointment and with the technician. He answered my questions and offered additional information when asked. I like using them because they are reliable and professional with me.

My furnace did not work and I called Airtron due to the A listing and family suggestions. They were able to get to me soon, found the problem, ordered the part and installed it within a couple of days. I will be purchasing the service contract from this company after speaking with a number of friends and family.

On October 20 as part of our contracted semi-annual HVAC tune-up service for our natural gas furnace, Airtron technicians discovered significant problems with the heat exchangers in our 20-year old equipment. Their clear descriptions of the problems and the steps required to make repairs made it easy for me to start making decisions. At my request, they were able to immediately provide me with repair vs. replace costs for the furnace. Within the next two hours another Airtron representative (Ray Reks) was at the house, and with the information and consultation he provided I was able to define our heating needs and expectations and then match them with performance specifications and features for three different models of furnaces. A few hours later I received a detailed e-mailed proposal from him, complete with Vectren Energy rebate program eligibility info and instructions for the 3 models I was considering. Ray was very responsive as I emailed and phoned him with questions and requests for additional info as my husband and I did further research and went over the budget. Once we decided, there was only one day turnaround time between our order and the installation, and scheduling with Airtron was a breeze! The installation started exactly when Airtron said it would. Fitting the new furnace underneath existing components of our HVAC equipment was complex, and I was impressed with how installer Dave Roop and his colleague did it without having to deinstall the other components. They were quick, smart, polite and friendly -- as was the original technician who diagnosed problem with the old furnace. despite the complexity of the installation, it was all done and cleaned up within three hours -- an that included a run-through of the operation and maintenance procedures with me. Well done, Airtron!

I had an air conditioner that was acting up on me. They replaced a part to get the unit working at a reasonable priced. They gave me a quote on replacing the unit. The service was fine.

Matt Curtis of Airtron took the time to review my situation, and then carefully explored my options with me. Matt promptly responded to my call about my furnace failing to heat. He, like two other HVAC companies, concluded that that the High Efficiency furnace that a previous contractor had installed was inappropriate for an uninsulated attic space. He recommended a standard efficiency (80%) furnace, which was much lower in cost than the prior company's faulty recommendation. The two techs he sent out to do the job were also quite good, and replaced the dysfunctional furnace quickly and well, taking care to clean up thoroughly afterward. No hitches, no excuses, no drama... a pleasant change from the prior install.

We had been alerted in the spring by our Airtron service technician to a problem with the heat exchanger but he advised that since the cooling season had already started we could wait until fall to address this. Upon inspection the problem was confirmed during the fall service checkup. The equipment is original from 1998, basic 80% efficiency units. We decided to replace both heating and cooling units given the age, efficiency and quality of what was installed at the time of construction. A customer service representative came the same day and reviewed all the options we had after listing to what our needs were. He explained the savings we could expect to realize from the more efficient equipment and how we would qualify for rebates from our gas provider. Once we decided on what we wanted he arranged for installation the next day. The installers showed up on time and after a 30 minute heads up call from customer service. The told what they were going to do, how long it should take and what we could expect from the improvement. They worked for five hours without a break to get the installation completed. They reviewed the operation of the units and how to set temperatures for various situations. They were careful about not tracking soil into the house and cleaned up well when they finished the work. Replacing a HVAC system with a newer and better one is not ever going to be cheap and so I can not say I see the price as being "excellent" but given what we know from this transaction, we believe it to be fair and reasonable. We used Airtron at another house we owned here in Indianapolis before we moved away. Our experience was good then and we are pleased with all aspects of the relationship since returning to the area in retirement.

I purchased a furnace tune up for $59 through a Big Deal offer. I purchased the deal on 10/21. Within 45 minutes I had a response in my angie's list account from Air Tron confirming they had scheduled the work to be done in the timeframe I requested on the deal. Talk about responsiveness. They came on the date agreed to and were here about an hour. I didn't realize I would get this but after the service was completed, I received an email with a detailed checklist and service report showing everything done. Highly recommended for this type of service. I will consider for future work as well.

The technician arrived on time. Was very professional in his attitude and appearance. Did an excellent job in performing the tune-up. Explained each step as he went along.

After having our annual furnace check-up I decided to investigate having a new downstairs furnace installed as our house was 15 years old. While the tech was here checking my furnace he contacted Ray Reks and we set up an appointment for a couple of days later. When Ray arrived I asked about perhaps replacing both our furnaces.Ray looked at both existing furnaces and gave me 3 different options for efficiency and offered a discount if we replaced both at the same time. When I asked, he did tell me that we could save 3% if we paid cash. After discussing it with my wife we decided to replace both furnaces. We made the appointment for 3 days later. Both installers were very polite and careful to make sure they kept the carpet and flooring clean. They arrived in the morning and were finished with both furnaces by 5:00. They showed how to use the new thermostats. With the discount for installing both furnaces, the 3% discount and $540 rebates we saved over $1,200. I can't recommend Airtron any more highly. Excellent communication, excellent pricing and quality products. They also sent us the paperwork to send in for the rebates with Vectren within 1 week.
