THEY DID A GOOD JOB AND WE WERE HAPPY WITH THEM. THEY DID WHAT THEY SAID THEY WOULD DO. THE JOB DID TAKE LONGER THAN ANTICIPATED (TOOK ALL DAY) HE SAID OUR WARRANTY MANUAL WOULD ARRIVE IN THE MAIL BUT WE NEVER GOT IT, BUT WE HAVEN'T CALLED THEM ABOUT IT.

I WAS NOT A HAPPY CAMPER BECAUSE IT TOOK SO LONG TO GET THEM TO COME TO MY HOME, 2-3 DAYS EACH TIME. THE FIRST REPAIRMAN WAS RUDE AND I FELT I WAS LIED TO.
Description of Work: THEY WORKED ON MY AIR CONDITIONING. FIRST I WAS TOLD IT WAS A DIRTY FILTER. IT WAS CHANGED BUT DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. THEY CAME BACK AND SAID IT WAS A PART NEEDED REPLACED. IT TOOK NEARLY A WEEK TO GET THE PART. IT WAS STILL NOT FIXED AND ANOTHER AIRTRON PERSON CAME AND SAID THE DRAIN LINE WAS STOPPED UP. IT WORKED FOR 30 DAYS AND AGAIN FAILED. THIS HAD ALL TAKEN 3 WEEKS. I CALLED ANOTHER COMPANY AND THEY FOUND THAT THE DRAIN LINE WAS NOT EVEN ATTACHED.

AFTER A FEW WEEKS OF OPERATION, THE SYSTEM SEEMS TO BE WORKING WELL. ALL OF THE WORK WAS COMPLETED IN ONE DAY, AND THE TWO WORKERS STAYED LATER INTO THE EVENING TO COMPLETE IT AT NO EXTRA CHARGE. THEY WERE CAREFUL TO EXPLAIN TO US HOW TO USE THE NEW PARTS AND MAINTAIN THEM, AND WILL FOLLOW-UP ANNUALLY AS PART OF A CONTRACT. WE EXPECTED MUCH NOISE AND CHAOS, BUT IT ALL WENT ALONG SMOOTHLY. THEY CLEANED UP THEIR MESS, WERE VERY POLITE AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. WE ARE VERY PLEASED WITH THE EXPERIENCE OVERALL.
Description of Work: INSTALLED A HONEYWELL HUMIDIFIER AND HIGH EFFICIENCY AIR FILTER TO OUR FURNACE. THE JOB REQUIRED MODIFICATION OF SOME OF THE FURNACE HOUSING AND CONNECTIONS TO OUR WATER SYSTEM. THEY ALSO DID AN INSPECTION AND TUNE-UP OF THE FURNACE AND AIR CONDITIONER.

A/C STOPPED WORKING ON TUESDAY DURING 90 DEGREE PLUS SPELL. AIRTRON COULD NOT GET TECH OUT UNTIL FRIDAY AND THEN WAS SEVERAL HOURS LATE. TOLD US THAT MULTIPLE REPAIRS WERE NEEDED AND RECOMMENDED REPLACING FURNACE DUE TO CRACKED HEAT EXCHANGE ELEMENT AND LEAKING GAS VALVE, WHICH WAS A SURPRISE SINCE WE'D HAD THE FURNACE CLEANED AND INSPECTED LAST WINTER. WE DECIDED ON A 2ND OPINION. 2ND COMPANY FOUND FAULTY BLOWER MOTOR, BUT NO CRACKS IN THE HEAT EXCHANGE OR GAS LEAK. 2ND OPINION DID NOT RECOMMEND NEW FURNACE OR A/C, BUT JUST TO REPLACE BLOWER MOTOR, WHICH WE DID. I FEEL AIRTRON WAS NOT VERY RESPONSIVE AND THEN TRIED TO PRESSURE US INTO A COSTLY NEW FURNACE, WHEN ONE WAS NOT NEEDED. WE WERE SUSPICIOUS WHEN THE REPAIR GUY WAS ABLE TO GIVE US A QUOTE ON A WHOLE NEW SYSTEM AND GLAD WE FOLLOWED OUR INSTINCTS. WE ARE OUT THE SERVICE CALL MONEY, BUT LEARNED A VALUABLE LESSON.

I TOLD THEM I WANTED TO MOVE THE OUTSIDE UNIT TO THE OTHER END OF THE HOUSE. THE SALESMAN LOOKED AT THE SITUATION WITH THE LAYOUT OF MY HOUSE. HE SAID, NO, THAT WILL NOT WORK. HE SUGGESTED THE FRONT OF THE HOUSE. I SAID OKAY. HE GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE FOR EVERYTHING, EXCEPT FOR RUNNING THE 220V LINE TO THE OUTSIDE UNIT. NEITHER HE NOR I KNEW IF THE LINE WAS ACCESSIBLE FROM WHERE THE UNIT WAS GOING TO BE PLACED. HE WOULD HAVE TO HAVE THE INSTALLATION SPECIALIST (OR SOME SUCH PERSON) LOOK AT IT. HOWEVER, THIS PERSON WAS GOING ON VACATION THE NEXT WEEK AND THE ONLY TIME HE COULD LOOK AT IT WOULD BE THE NEXT MORNING. THEY DID HAVE A REASONABLE ESTIMATE.

A++ FOR RESPONSIVENESS. AIRTRON'S INSTALLER WAS NEARLY 2 HOURS LATE; HOWEVER, THEY SENT OUT THEIR INSTALLATION MANAGER TO PERSONALLY EXPLAIN WHY THEY WERE LATE AND APOLOGIZE, UPGRADED OUR THERMOSTAT AS A GOOD WILL GESTURE, AND PROVIDED US A GENEROUS PARTIAL REFUND. APOLOGIES WERE RECEIVED FROM 3 DIFFERENT PEOPLE AT AIRTRON. THEY WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND WHAT WAS NECESSARY TO MAKE UP FOR THEIR MISTAKE. THEY CLEANED UP WELL AFTER THE JOB WAS COMPLETED. OUR EXPERIENCE HAS BEEN THAT THEY ALWAYS WEAR COVERS OVER THEIR BOOTS TO PROTECT INTERIOR FLOORS, WHICH THEY DID AGAIN DURING THIS JOB. AIRTRON HAS ALWAYS TREATED US WELL, AND WE WILL CONTINUE TO USE THEIR SERVICE AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO OTHERS. WE HAVE COME TO REALIZE THAT THERE ARE A LOT OF "GOOD" COMPANIES OUT THERE, BUT YOU FIND THE "BEST" COMPANIES WHEN YOU SEE HOW THEY RESPOND TO A MISTAKE. I SPOKE WITH AT LEAST TWO FELLAS INITIALLY, TONY, THE SERVICE TECH, AND HIS SUPERVISOR, ALLEN, I BELIEVE. I FELT COMFORTABLE GIVING THEM ACCESS TO MY GARAGE VIA A REMOTE KEYPAD. THOUGH THE AMOUNT SPENT WAS EXCESSIVE AT THE TIME, I FELT I WAS TREATED PROFESSIONALLY; WAS EXPLAINED THE PARTS/UNITS NEEDED CLEARLY; AND THEY EVEN CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES! ALSO, THEY HONORED THE ANGIE'S LIST COUPON OF $250.00 I HAD PRINTED OFF. A BIG 4 STARS FOR AIRTRON!
Description of Work: ON THE THIRD DAY WITH NO HEAT AND TEMPERATURES HOVERING AROUND 10-16 DEGREES EACH NIGHT, AIRTRON TECHNICIANS EXPERTLY INSTALLED A NEW AIR HANDLER (FURNACE) AND A NEW HEAT PUMP IN MY CONDOMINIUM ON 3/3/05. THEY WERE UP FRONT ABOUT THE FACT THEY COULD REPLACE PARTS FOR AN AMOUNT ABOUT $1,600, BUT COULDN'T SAY HOW LONG THE OUTSIDE UNIT WOULD CONTINUE, SINCE IT HAD ALSO 'LOCKED UP' AT ONE POINT. I DID HAVE ANOTHER VENDOR COME, AND MAKE A FULL ESTIMATE FOR COMPARISON PURPOSES. BOTH QUOTES PRETTY MUCH SAID THE SAME THING. I WOULD HAVE FELT COMFORTABLE WITH THE OTHER COMPANY TOO. BOTH RESPONDED QUICKLY, PROFESSIONALLY, AND WITH RESPECT. I MADE THE DECISION TO GO WITH AIRTRON. OVERALL GREAT EXPERIENCE. THEY RESPONDED PROMPTLY IN CHECKING THE PREVIOUS UNIT AND SHARING OPTIONS IN PURCHASING A NEW SYSTEM. WITHIN 48 HOURS THEY HAD A NEW UNIT INSTALLED. VERY PLEASED WITH THE EXPERIENCE.

THEY WERE RESPONSIVE, THEIR SALESMAN DID A GOOD JOB. THEIR ESTIMATE WAS COMPARABLE TO THE COMPANY THAT WE WENT WITH. WE DIDN'T USE AIRTRON BECAUSE WE HAD A HISTORY WITH ANOTHER COMPANY.
