We called AirTron because our A/C kept going out and they were listed on our actual air conditioning unit. We called on Wednesday, July 15 to schedule a service call for the following evening at 5:30. When no one had shown up by 8pm the day of the appointment we called them back...they had forgotten to put our service call into the system (and my 9 month old couldn't sleep because it was 90 degrees in her room). Someone finally arrived at 9 pm, diagnosed the problem and said someone would call me the next day and they would be back the following evening (Friday the 17th) to take care of it. No one ever called to schedule the work on Friday and when I finally called them they said they couldn't do the work that night. Because the parts order got in so late on Thursday (because they forgot to schedule the appointment) the part wasn't in and we were out of A/C through the weekend. Again no one called to schedule on Monday...after 3 phone calls I finally got something scheduled and someone out to our house that evening. The work itself they did was great, the customer service and follow up not so much. If you've got time to constantly hound them then they're fine to work with. Tim, our service tech, was great. He was knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. I'd use them again if I could request him. I was pretty irritated that I wasn't offered a discount of any sort for all the hassel and ball dropping on their end.

Will be looking for another service provider.

I have airtron service my heating and airconditioning needs because they installed the original equipment and have serviced it annually since 1989 when I purchased the home. The technician found a problem with one of the breakers for the furnace in the electrical pannel. I have taken action to have it corrected.

Impressed with the work and was able install in one day. They also cleaned up well after they completed with the work.

They have been a great contractor! I will stick with them.

Very well. I ended up choosing a different company to take advantage of manufacturer rebates, but Airtron does sell Trane which I think is a wonderful product. Ray Reks came out to give me my estimate and I found him to be extremely professional and he was even early for his appointment. He gave me honest answers and I really felt like I could trust Airtron and their work just by the comfort I felt with Ray. I would recommend asking for him if you are getting an estimate, as he gave great suggestions and was there to get me the best product for my needs, not necessarily the most expensive product.

Ryan Robertson was very professional and helpful. It took several weeks for us to make a decision. Throughout the process, Ryan was patient and answered all my questions over e-mail in a timely manner. He never tried to pressure us and I felt he made system recommendations that were in our best interest (as opposed to recommending systems that were more expensive and unnecessary). Even though we eventually decided to contract with a different company, I thought Ryan's service was outstanding.

They are good about being prompt. They are also knowledgeable and pleasant.

They came right out, put shoe covers on before they entered the home. We have been using them for awhile and have had no complaints. It was very cold at the time and he said to call an electrician because he thought that may have been the problem. So we did that and it was the problem.

Both the saleman and the installer where very professional. The saleman did call the day before the install to see if they could change the date because someone was without any air conditioning. We agreed and they did the install one day later. Everything went well and it took about 5 hours to complete. The installers answered our question and explained what they where going to do.

I believe that their employees have a big share in the company because they work as if it is employee owned. I have never had someone came out and tell me that I need something I don't. They offer me the chance to have someone else come out and look at the unit before they fix anything. They give me a window of time when they will be out, and then they call me when they are on their way. They aren't allowed to come in the house unless they put on booties. The one service guy is a super nice guy. I tell everyone I know to use them!

Our furnace had a terrible vibration the first time the AC was turned on this season. We had just had the system tuned up two weeks prior. The technician (who was a service supervisor) explained that drywall dust that had built-up on the blower during construction and had been knocked loose, causing the blower to be out-of-balance at the high speed when the AC was running. It may have occurred when the tune-up was performed. Regardless, the $215 charge for time & labor was waived. The only negative was that he arrived about 30 minutes after the scheduled 4 hour window.

The gentleman who came to service my furnace was polite, put on booties to make sure that he did not track anything into my house. He filled me in on all his findings as he was complete. My furnace ran smoothly all winter.

They service my air conditioner and furnace. They do a very good job. I had a problem with my furnace once and they came right out to replace a part. They were good to explain what had been done.

It went very well, because the technician Darren was very knowledgable & professional. I will be asking for him by name for future service calls.

Everything worked out well. They did the installation in less than one day, and because it was high efficiency unit, they had to put in a new venting and exhaust system. Their prices were good, and they gave us credit for a part they replaced previously as well as honoring their $250 Angie's List coupon. They advised us on the rebates that were available, and took care of the $1500 rebate from the gas utility. They were punctual and professional, respecting our property, wearing their booties inside, and parking on the street to prevent oil stains on the driveway. We will receive an energy credit of $1500 on our federal 2009 income taxes, and we were very happy with their service.

It seems like over the four years they have changed and not for the better. When they came out in January it was a service contract visit. I was without heat in the end of February so I called them and they were pretty prompt about coming out. They changed a pressure switch and he wanted to charge me $300. I felt that they should have caught this problem when they came out in January. He informed me that this would be something that could go out at any time, but my unit is only 9 years old. My heat went out last year around the same time too. When I told him that I had a contract he then lowered the price. After my contract is up I will be looking for another company to use.

I have been very satisfied with them. I have never had any problems. I would recommend them to others.

I called Airtron because they did all of the HVAC work for my builder in my new home. I figured they would be most familiar with my home's system and would best be able to ensure that with whatever we did, the system would still be balanced and efficient. Airtron gave a four hour window of when the estimator would come and he called prior to let me know he was on his way at the front end of that window. He took a look and eye-balled where the vents would go. He never actually took a measurement of any sort, but did say that he would estimate it all with flexible pipe to save money. After 10 minutes, he went out to his truck and talked to his office, coming back after 15 minutes. I had asked him to provide an estimate for the shower venting separately as my plumber had offered to take care of this for me and I wanted to compare price. The estimate he gave me was a single sheet that said "quote for work to finish of basement, quote $1131.00." He saw the shock in my eyes and immediately said, "Yeah, I was really surprised by that number too." He couldn't tell me how much of that was for the duct work and vents and how much was for the shower fan. He didn't offer to find out either. I told him I was not going to have them do the work and he said he wasn't too surprised based on the number. "It was a lot higher than I was expecting," he said. All that and they charged me $45 to give me an inflated estimate. I called another company after they left, the gentlemen offered to come take a look the same day and arrived within a half hour. He put a lot more effort into analyzing the basement and actually made a number of recommendations around placement of an air return and different options for the vent in the bathroom. This guy was the owner of the company and tallied up the total with me there in the basement. Everything was in rigid pipe and came in at just above half the Airtron price.

It was great. They were here when they said they would be here. They got it done in good time. It has worked out fine.

We had decided to replace our furnace and had airtron install a 95% efficient model for $4200. They had a hard time getting it to fit, but it seems to be installed and running correctly. They installed a new thermostat so I asked if I could use the old programmable thermostat for my daughter s house. The technician said it was "dummy proof" to install and showed me how to match wire to screw on the back. When I wired my daughters furnace to it the furnace lost power. We checked the breaker box and the switch on the furnace and breakers around the house. We could not see a problem. We called airtron who told us they could not help us over the phone; they had to send a tech for an 89.00 service call. The tech came 6 hrs later but couldn't get to the attic furnace because he didn't have a tall enough ladder. We had to drive 10 miles to take him a ladder or she would be without heat overnight. When we got there he said it was probably a blown fuse. He replaced the fuse but would not install the thermostat since we didn't buy from airtron. We used our Angie s discount but the bill came to $106 anyway. I called Airton the next day to let them know what a hard time we had. Their response was that they would go and install the thermostat for $35 more. Here are my problems with their service: 1. He could have told us to turn off the power before wiring the thermostat so it would not blow a fuse 2. When we called and asked what it could be they could have said it might be a fuse. 3. The technician should have had the proper ladder on his truck for attic furnaces 4. For $106 the tech could have wired the thermostat

They have done good work and have been professional. I would recommend them.

The pricing was competitive, they arrived on time each day they arranged. They were there 3 times over all, 1st to investigate the need, then a service guy to advise and then installed brand new systems, first the air then the furnace. The overall experience was very positive and professional.
