+ -1 moreThe service men were nice and I thought they were doing what they were suppose to be doing. But after getting quotes from a couple different companies, they were charging me $5,200 to fix the problem. When I was able to get it fixed for $250 by another company, I felt a little scammed.
Description of Work: They came out to clean and service the furnace and A/C and make sure it's working right. They come out once a year.

+ -1 moreWe had a contract with Airtron for about 6 years before the summer of 2010. One very hot weekend in early June, our A/C went out, turns out it was not a difficult problem to fix, but Airtron never showed up even when we called several times. They said, "we are very busy...blah blah blah". We had a contract at the time, so I guess it didn't matter.A couple of months later we had another problem with the unit, but this time it was the condenser motor and not the motor capacitor. The Airtron tech came and diagnosed the motor and gave us an estimate of $800, what really irritated me was that he then suggested replacing the entire unit for $2,500. I went to Grainger in NE Indy and bought the same motor for $65.00 and installed it myself.
Description of Work: Service call on two occasions, one time they didn't show the second time they tried to fleece us.

+ -1 moreI will continue to use them since i have a service contract with them but hope i don't run into their company meetings on my day off again.
Description of Work: I had scheduled a semi-yearly check up on new heat pump system installed in June of 2011. when the tech came to inspect he informed me that a part in the system was not working and would require replacing, but had to be ordered. They would call and make an appointment for installation when it arrived. They called the next Monday and we set up a date for early on my day off ... when i told them i had to be somewhere at 11:30 and they said probably no problem,they would be there a littel after 8:00 am and the job would tkae about 3 hours. the evening before i got a voice mail saying that they were having a meeting the next morning and the tech would be there between 10 and 10:30. I was not pleased but let him come ahead. I had to leave before he was finished ... felt i had to trust him not to rob us, which of course he did not, Since we could not use the air conditioning until the part was replaced i did not want to re-schedule ... it had been pretty hot. tThere was no charge since the unit was still under warrenty. The tech was polite, apologetic about late arrival he could not help, and seems to have done a good job since the unit is working as it should.

They were here for about an hour checking the home and provided me with a complete print out of their readings. I was able to go back to ADT and advise them that their monitor was faulty and giving false ratings becuase of their detailed report. Airtron was very honest and professional. We are happy with their services.

+ -1 moreI didn’t spend anything on that service, but I pay them $160 a year for the contract, I got two service calls a year on that. They provided great service at a good price and their sales people are not on a commission, so the last company I had ironic commission and those sales people tried tricky in buying all types of things. My overall experience with them was excellent.

+ -1 moreAirtron was very responsive when I called and made an appointment for us right away. John (our Airtron technician) was both friendly and professional and took time to explain what might be going on with our furnace. We had a lightning strike near our house and after running several diagnostic tests, John said the furnace was fine, just had some loose wires - possibly from the storm - but wasn't sure. Only charged the diagnostic fee. Last guy I had out (Summers Heating and Air) said our furnace was shot and we needed a new one. When we said we couldn't afford it, he installed a $900 circuit panel and said that would "hold" us for a few months. John pointed out that the circuit panel was not the same make as our furnace and a cheaper model and our furnace is fine. Unfortunately, you have to be so careful with dishonest people these days. I can say with confidence that Airtron is the kind of company that takes the high road by providing honest service at a fair price - they will be my go-to for any furnace issues in the future!

My central heating and air went out, they came out and gave me quote, then, I got a service contract with them where they come out and check it twice a year. They came when they were supposed to be here, they seemed to know their job quite well, came in, took their shoes off, and did their job. The outside unit wasn't mounted right, was putting stress and strain on the pipes, and they remounted it. They had to put tape on the inside unit and it doesn't look as professional as it used to.

Description of Work: My air conditioner would not come on, we thought it was a thermostat problem, so I purchased a new one. The air conditioning and heat would not come on after we hooked the new one up. I called airtron and they came out on the same day. He was on time and very professional. We had a blown fuse. All is working now.

+ -1 moreWe spent about an hour going over everything and a couple of call backs as well. We went with another contractor.
Description of Work: Asked for a quote to replace heat pump and furnace. They have installed the last two units in our home. The home was built in 1986. We have lived in it since '88 an had two heat pump and furnace units installed. The units were Trane. They have essence now started to sel Bryant. Bryant, Carrier, and Heil are all owned by the same parent corporation. The furnaces are manufactured here and the compressors in Tennessee for all three. Supposedly the same unit for any of the three brands. Aritron was very prompt in coming out to look at the problem and to arrange for a sales person the quote a new unit the next day. With their quote (Bryant) the labor warrantee was on 1 year - Heil has 5 years. The Fan Coil Units required an upcharge of 1 $1000 plus to have a two speed variable fan. Heil has several units already available. Of the four quotes we received - One Bryant, Two Heil and One Carrier, the Heil units had the best overall choice and warrantee.

Very quick response. While the tech was on-site, the unit just needed to be reset. He also sold me a maintenance service program for the unit.

+ -1 moreWe called them late in the evening and they had someone out within hours--I was extremely impressed! The technician figured out that the fan they had installed previously was sparking, causing the fuse to blow. It was simply a faulty part from the manufacturer, and nothing that Air Tron did. They replaced the fan and, because it was still under warranty, they didn't charge us anything! We couldn't be happier with our experience, and we would highly recommend them.
Description of Work: They came back out when our furnace stopped working again. The fuse kept blowing, and we couldn't figure out what was going on.

They provide us a price for a new Bryant heat pump with our special customer discount, which they stated reduced the cost by approximately $1200 over the standard price. Checked around at other Bryant dealer for the same size system, they offered us the same system for $1000 less than Airtron, without the customer special pricing, which was approximately a 30% savings.
Description of Work: Airtron inspected my heat pump and offered to two option, either replacement of a burn out board for $XXX or they offered to sell us a new heat pump.
