Service Plus Heating Cooling Plumbing

They were great. They were punctual and very professional. There were some unforseen problems and they worked hard to get us heat and water in a timely manner. Their personnel were friendly and kind. Their pricing seemed to be very good.

Our water heaters were not working and I recently had a plumber out here who stated it would cost almost 3k to fix the issue and then tried to get us to just switch it all out for a tankless water heater, which as 5k. I felt there was something a little odd about this so I got a second opinion by Service Plus. Not only did they come out the same day, but he got the water heater working by doing something simple. He did give me an idea of what could be happening, which was the gas valve, but said right now it's working. Worse case scenario is he has to come back out and replace that and it's about $350. BIG DIFFERENCE!!!! I used the angieslist coupon so the service was free! I walked away with a scam being prevented d because of this company! I will for sure use them for now on and refer them to everyone. Thanks Sevice Plus!!!!

Fine. He got some roots out of the pipe, but said some of them were too thick to cut through.

The service was both professional and excellent. There was a slight problem with the toilet installation and when called they next day came back and rectified the issue. Their follow-through is their best quality. The service technicians are courteous and spend the time to make sure one understands the scope of the service and alternate possibilities.

Technician arrived on time. He inspected the furnace and discovered the issue promptly. Fixed the issue and then further inspected the furnace to make sure there were no other potential issues.

He came and fixed my faucet for me.. It was outstanding service and they are company that I can trust.. It was a cold snowy day and the worker that came out even got my mail and newspaper and brought them in for me.. That was great customer service they gave me

We wanted to have the bathroom sink drain changed. We went to look for the part to Do It Center and Sears. The price was around $30.00. But, did not find same color (gold). We thought if we had a part ready, it would be convenience although we did not find one. Looked for plumbing company on Angie's list. This company had excellent reviews., so we bought a $ 40.00 coupon, and gave a phone call to schedule it. The lady who answered the phone, she wanted to know the small details. She said if we gave her all the information, company's plumber could bring the tools or supplies he needs. A plumber came by 3 days later, and he took a look for 5 minutes, and told us he needs to order its part. He did not bring any part at all. We told him about conversation on the phone, but he said this is the way the company does the business. It is not his intention. He was here to just estimate. He ordered it, and told us that they would get it in 2, 3 days, so he will be back next week. His estimate was $ 260.00. That was October 26, 2015. The next week never came. We spent $40.00 for nothing.

I ordered the $44 Furnace Inspection, Cleaning, and Tune-Up. After the guy inspected my furnace he talked me into replacing a bad capacitor. He made it sound pretty critical that I have this done. I was home on my lunch break and in a hurry to get back so I gave him the go ahead without giving it much thought. The total cost for parts and labor came to $293 w/o a service plan. When I got back to work I looked up the part. The exact part he replaced was $10 online. And it's about as simple as replacing a 9-volt battery. It made me sick. I paid $293 for someone to replace a $10 part I could have easily ordered and replaced myself. I called the guy back to cancel the service plan I signed up for. He asked why and I gave him the same explanation I've provided here. He informed me that the price included labor and warranty. I laughed. $283 for labor and warranty on a $10 capacitor. And he told me what it would be to replace the motor if it went bad. Almost $1,000. I found that part, brand new, OEM, for $350. These guys are just way too overpriced. Otherwise, everything went pretty well.

My "minor" repair turned into two potential major issues. The root cause though was a bigger and more potential for damage to my house. Service Plus was able to resolve two huge issues that could have led to the flooding of my main level and basement. Service Plus called before my appointment, emailed me a photo of my excellent serviceman, and went the extra mile to make sure my customer service was great and that my house was in repaired mode. Easily one of the best service providers I've called.

On time. Polite. Knowledgable. Stayed with it in spite of a couple of small challenges with our drainage system (older house). The new softener seems to be performing well and these men did their job well!

They arrived on time and were very professional. The performed the service promised. Of course, they advised that I am due for a new heating and cooling system but I expected that. They were not too pushy and overall I am happy with the service.

Scheduling was pretty easy and they have friendly staff at their office. Thomas Herman was the technician that came over to perform the Furnace Tune Up and did it to standard. I have been in neglect of my furnace unit by not replacing the air filter quite often like I should, however, he did tell me that there were major issues with my furnace unit. He quoted me $2,292.86 to have the OEM motor and a factory specified dual run capacitor replaced. He also told me that my unit was almost at the point of completely failing and quoted me a Rheem 75,000 BTU new unit for $3,200, which is a reasonable price for the new unit. I became suspicious as he said that my furnace "might not make it a few more days" and decided to consult a friend of mine who does Heating & A/C in the Houston area. He clearly told me he was most likely trying to up sell me into a new unit without needing it at this time and even helped me troubleshoot on my own to see if any of these "issues" were true. He said it was not the case so I decided to get a 2nd opinion on this issue and today the other company came and diagnosed that the only issue was the igniter and the furnace blower capacitor that showed some wear, but the temperature rise, inducer amps and blower motor amps were all within range according to his testing. The repairs only costed $476.00 that included an annual service plan and this technician said my unit might last a few more years but I had to keep in mind the unit is almost 10 years old. This other company NEVER tried to up sell me into a new unit. I feel that Service Plus Heating & Cooling might be a good company, however, I must say I feel deceived by Thomas Herman, the technician. I am not sure if the other technicians are good and honest, but because of the sour taste in my mouth I had with the experience, I will certainly will not hire them again! I am sure if they would have been completely honest with me, I would have continued to use their services. As a summary, because I felt deceived, this is why I gave them an "F" rating.

We received excellent service from KEN! He was very good at explaining what he was checking, what he found to be a problem & how he corrected it. Very professional. He is a huge asset to the company. Thanks again Ken for getting is in shape. :)

I had previously tried to clear the drain myself for a couple of hours with a hand crank but was unsuccessful. The gentleman came over and assessed the slow drain I had. Rather than bringing in his machine to clear the drain, he used the same hand crank and was able to get it clear. Very nice and explained everything.

I'll give my review in two parts starting with the work done. Jonas did a very good job replacing the failed valve, the shower control, and spout. The valve was partially covered by a return and he had to get to it through the hall. He did not have to cut a huge hole in the hallway drywall and there was very little damage to the tile. He cleaned everything before he left. I was pleased with the work he did. Now for part two. My appointment was scheduled for noon. They told me upfront that he had an appointment before mine and he could run a little late. I said that was fine. The time estimate for the job was 2 to 3 hours. I figured it would be done by 4 and that would give me time for other things on my to do list. At 10:30 that morning, the company called and said the he was running a little late and that he should be done close to noon or a little after. I said that was okay. Noon came and went without the plumber or call from the company. One o'clock came and went with no plumber or call from the company. I called a little after 1 and got their answering service. The operator was able to access my information and asked if I would like to leave a message. I asked her to have them call me with an updated time estimate. (That might allow me to take care of other items on my list that were away from the house.) Two o'clock came and went with no plumber and no call from the company. At 2:08 I was able to reach the company. I told her that I was trying to get a new time estimate. She said the plumber ran into a problem in the first job. She said that she thought he should be done. I asked her if she could check and get a time estimate. She seemed a little out out. She called me back later and said that he was al out finished. He arrived at my house a couple of minutes before 4. Four hours late. There really weren't any apologies for having me waste time waiting. Poor communication with a first-time customer. If I would have known that he wasn't going to start the work until four, I would have scheduled it for another day.

It went okay. I got a coupon and they kind of charged me my credit card. I ended up getting it back when I called Angie's List. I called them about my heater. He came out and he got it lit. He ended up charging me for what he did but if it goes out again, the next service charge will be free. He was pretty good. I'd probably use them again. They should not probably charge me for the power lighting.

The tub faucet has no leaks and the new fixtures work fine. Very satisfied. The repair person was cordial and sent a brief personal history about himself with his picture via email. Very Uber-like. No confusion regarding who was sent to do the work.

Derryck was courteous, professional, and worked quickly and accurately. He gave us great advice on our future purchases of faucets.

Toby was very professional and knowledgeable about the service we needed. We immediately felt at ease about the purchase and using this company after the quote visit. Although we purchased the additional annual service plan, we did not feel pressured to make this purchase with our service request. Will definitely use this company again in the future.

I purchased a $99 coupon but did not use the service. Angie's List doesn't give me the option to NOT write a review.
