Service Plus Heating Cooling Plumbing

I bought the $59 drain cleanout deal with no apparent drain problems just to have the line inspected at a bargain price before I had a new front walk installed over it. I had an upstairs and a downstairs cleanout access. The upstairs one was preferred so that the snake machine would not have to be carried into my finished basement but the cap would not budge while the basement cap came off with relative ease, they offered to break off the upstairs cap and replace it and I agreed to that. They ran the snake through but it would only go about 30 feet before it hung up. The camera seemed to show a blockage and a hand scanner showed that the issue was at the end of my front porch. This was odd because this put it far from the tree root line. They ran a camera down both the upstairs and downstairs lines and it was held up at the same location with a blockage that was apparently roots. I was told that there was nothing more they could do and that the clay line would need to be replaced and an estimate for that would be delivered by hand in a few days. While I was waiting for the estimate I decided to get a second opinion and called Rocky Hogge Construction on the advice of a neighbor. Rocky charged $150 for inspection with root removal and nothing if he was not able to cut through. Rocky preferred the upstairs access and used the same make and model of snake machine but with a very different cutting head, his was more like a slightly curved forward facing saw blade while Service Plus used a spiral saw blade. Rocky said that he does not use those because they are more prone to hang up on pipe unions but that he would change cutting heads depending on the situation. His snake drove through the blockage with ease and the rest of the pipe was clear, he pulled a manhole cover and I saw the snake running down the sewer in the middle of the street. He then drew it back and ran a camera down the line and showed me that it was clear to the street. He said I could replace it but it it was not necessary. So perhaps it was the different cutting head, perhaps it was the soap Rocky ran down the drain to lubricate the line first, I don't know but the conclusion was sure different and I have to go with that. Two months later and I never did receive the estimate for drain line replacement, since I am planning on putting down a new front walk I may have it replaced anyway but I will definitely get several estimates.

The technician arrived on time and was very professional and helpful. He fixed a toilet that had been running constantly and tuned up another. He also found a few things that we could repair in the future on some tub and kitchen sink fixtures.

The technician came out and tried to sell us a new system within the first 5 minutes. Basically, he came out only to sell something. He did not "tune-up/clean" anything. After meeting with him I received multiple calls trying to sell a new air conditioner. We wanted an honest assessment of our unit which we know will need to be replaced however it was way more sales oriented than it should have been.

It went really well. The guy who came over was very nice and kind. It was really good. For the price we got exactly what we were expecting.

The big deal was for 2 toilets and I really only needed the one and since they only did the one, they asked if there was anything else that they could look at around the house and tole me they did heating and air too. I had them loo at my air-conditioning because we were having problems with it and they were very helpful. I'm actually having them come back out here tomorrow to look at my water softener. They've been a good company to work with. I think their price was fair.

I explained to the gentleman that I had just had my kitchen remodeled and and would need new plumbing installed for the new sink and new facuet. The previous copper plumbing had become corroided so when the new cabinets were installed and old sink removed, the old pipes were cut and capped. The plumber got out his price book to show me how each piece would be charged. While I appreciated the transparency, I felt like this ala cart pricing technique was the companies way of charging extra for a job. Since I had already purchased the big deal, I kind of felt stuck. Also, I'm sure as a licensed plumber, copper fixtures are their "gold standard", however, I think other piping options may last longer and work just as well. Of course I brought this up, but he felt very strongly about using copper. I'm sure that also increased the price. I had also considered having him put in an extra line for the fridge water /ice maker line (my dad later installed for a fraction of what he would've charged me.) However, since the cost was already more than I expected, I decided against this. Supposedly, he was giving me a break on the facuet hook up. He indicated my facuet falls into the "designer" category which would be an extra charge. However, he charged me the normal rate. I guess that was nice of him. (?) All in all, the quality was good, but I wonder if someone else could've done the same job for less and the same quality.

They did a good job. They responded very well and they were very nice people. They completed the task and as I communicated with them, they followed up. At first they looked down in the drain and they said everything looked really good, but since they had said that they would run the video through, they came back out and ran a video through. And that was my main interest to make sure I had a clean line going out to the street. And they were very, very willing and they sit there and showed me how they did the process of running it out. I used to manage an 8600 square foot nursing home and I had a lot of issues, so I know a fair amount of what outcomes can happen if your lines are stopped up. We just bought this house recently and I just wanted to make sure I had a clear line going out to the street, and I did. They were excellent. They did what they said and actually did a little more. And their people were really top calibre. Everything was good.

I thought it was okay, although I wouldn't order it again. It was not anything -may be I thought a little bit more, that there was going to be a little bit more out of it. But, it almost just seemed like it was a service provided to then say; you need a new toilet or whatever, that is what it seemed like to me.They were supposed to come and do a standard kind of check and I don't know if may be I was expecting that they were going to replace something. It was not really having a major problem. The toilet was running and they did take care of that.

Everything went smoothly. He was in and out very quickly and did a great job. He also explained what happened with the toilet and how these things normally go bad after a certain period of time.

The technician was really professional and thorough. It did take a while to get the job done and I needed to get back to work, but I haven't had any problems since, so it was worth it!

I purchased the big deal Hot Water Heater Flush. When the serviceman arrived, he stated the the company did not recommend flushing an older water heater which had not been flushed before, also the company did not recommend flushing a tank with plastic drain, which my has. So I paid out $55.00, and got nothin in return. They keep the money and I get nothing.

We did end up getting a refund on the work. They would have had to take the toilet out and it would have been too much work for what we wanted. The house is older and they were unable to do the work due to having no access to be able to do the Big Deal. They were very good about everything and gave us the choice on what we could do. I appreciated that there was no pressure and he even seemed disappointed as it would have been a lot more work than we wanted for that service.

Fine. Just bought our condo and wanted a plumber to take a close look at plumbing. Provided a detailed list of upgrade options. Checked out toilets. Small repair to one. Just want I wanted/

Went great better than I expected.

The provider arrived promptly at the scheduled time and did a great job of showing me the main sewer line. Thankfully no roots!!!

They came out the first time and remounted the unit to provide the appropriate tilt to the unit so the condensation would drain from the pan out of the house via a drain hose. Approximately a week later the unit began leaking condensate again. We called them back to fix the issue. This time it appeared that the hose was blocked. The installer attempted charge us again for the service call, but we felt this was something that was in place the first time and it was not fully repaired. After some discussion, they agreed that this was the same issue and should have been repaired correctly the first time. I just wish we didn't have to have a lengthy discussion about why we felt it was our responsibility to pay for fixing the same issue a second time. All in all the work was done professionally and got the job done. We would probably use Service Plus again.

We purchased this sewer line inspection for a house that we were preparing to buy. This did create some difficulties, because we were not the current owners. We did buy the house, but were only ever able to get a verbal report on the condition of the sewer line from the house to the road. Although the service was good, we were left a bit in the dark on the results of the inspection.

They did a good job but I was just surprised at how expensive things are. I ended up spending about $203 in total. The extra charge was for them to put in a extra bathroom sink faucet and a new drain in the bathtub. They told me that they were outdated to the mount of responses about their specials because I had no idea that they charged $220 to put a new faucet in and that's if you have the faucet. So I kind of learned my lesson to do some more research before I just arbitrarily go and say this is a good deal. They did a good job, it ws quality work but I was shocked of the prices.

There was some initial confusion when I made the appointment. I would not use Rapid Response again. When I called they set up my appointment for the first available time. I was given a time frame and was told I would get a call at least 30 minutes prior. That is exactly what happened. Ronnie was the technician and did a really through job. He explained what we were looking at as he ran the camera and patiently answered my questions. When he finished the sewer inspection he took the time to label the different shut off valves for water, hot water heater and main water. I felt he showed concern.

It was all completed in one day and they were really nice and took good care of us. They also spoke with my insurance adjuster.

Overall the experience went well. The technicians were friendly and very prompt and arrived at the time expected.
