A service person arrived less than 3 hours after my initial call. He was pleasant, professional and efficient, and replaced the water heater in short order. I was very pleased with all aspects of the service and would use Roby's again.

They showed up on schedule and quickly identified that the water softener had not been properly working for some time, which caused a build up in the water heater, which led to its failure. They also pointed out the wacky plumbing work done by the previous contractor (Sears), and then explained how they would remedy. They came back the next day and replaced both units within a reasonable amount of time, as well as explained how they worked. Overall, good service and fair prices.

I called them at 8:00am and they promised that someone would call back. I provided them all the information and my contact number. When I called again at 12:00 to check, I learned they would not be able to handle the call and the type of water heater I have, they would not be able to work on it. Supposedly, the person who made the appointment should have asked the brand of water heater and should not have scheduled the appointment. Needless to say, I wasted 4 hours and had to look for another plumber. If you want a timely service, look somewhere else.

Roby's did not charge me for their visit to identify the problem, then had to research parts for these unusual faucets on the internet and then come back and rebuild the faucets. Over half of their charge was for the costly and scarce parts. They performed the job professionally, kept me informed along the way, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

Had a pipe burst and Rob came over right away on I'm sure what was a busy Friday afternoon. Explained things well, gave a quote before the work and asked me if I had any questions afterwards. Very professional and clean - wore shoe covers to keep the house clean. Would definitely recommend to others.

Can't recommend Roby's enough. I had known my sump pump was having some issues and the backup was done cheaply. I put it off for a while, and then this morning (lots of rain), I went down and realized that my pump wasn't running at all, the backup wasn't running, and the sump was completely full and was on the edge of flooding (in my finished basement). I realized all of this at roughly 10:15am this morning and called. The gentleman said he would have someone to my house shortly, within 25 minutes I had a plumber at my house. He looked over my system and diagnosed that my pump had gone out, gave me options on how to replace it, I picked the system, and he went out to his van and got the parts, installed it, and was out within 2 hours. Very quick and easy process. They sent a plumber and not a sales guy, didn't try to up sell me, and the price I paid was right in line with the average range I found online for similar services.

He was very professional and had to return on Christmas Day to change the type of pump that was needed in the space.

My wife was home, not me, but she said he was friendly and solved the problem quickly.

Came same day though I told them there was no urgency. Took out the interworking of one toilet and replaced it. Start to finish including writing up the bill took him 15 minutes. Charged $222 minus a $20 coupon. That is absurd. I've used Roby's for years when they had an Anderson office. I never had to ask for quotes up front because they were always fair. Today's experience will be my last with them. Took advantage of a long term customer and I will actively let neighbors know of my experience today so they are not ripped off like I was.

We had discovered a slow leak on our 5 year old water heater on a Sunday. We called Roby's plumbing on a Sunday and got their emergency answering service. The Roby's rep called back within a few hours. Because it was not an emergency (slow leak), we waited to schedule a Monday service call. We also had 2 other competitors do an estimate (one national chain Ben Franklin, the other local Westside Plumbing, both highly rated on Angie's list). We went with Roby's plumbing b/c of price and because it was a family owned local company. The final cost of the work (labor and heater) were over $1000 cheaper than the national chain and about $300 cheaper than the local competitor for similar products and services. The plumber was knowledgeable and efficient and professional. We love supporting local companies who can also compete with the larger national companies and were very satisfied with their service.

They were fantastic! Would definitely use Roby's again! They were here super fast, the guy was clean, kind and professional. He found the leak and fixed it quickly and didn't try to sell me any additional services. Reasonably priced. Very impressed.

Based on my experience, this appears to be a very untrustworthy business. They wouldn't tell my wife over the phone how much they would charge to install a kitchen faucet, even though my wife had every detail concerning the type of job and product to be replaced and installed. What was worse was that the plumber who arrived was working off of a price sheet with detailed prices listed for certain kind of jobs, so they could have certainly given my wife some kind of a quote over the phone before coming out just by using their price sheet. What's even worse is that the plumber didn't give my wife the quote until after he had started taking out the old faucet. And the price that he ultimately told her they were going to be charging was $250. This doesn't include the cost of the new faucet (which we had already purchased). This is $250 just to install a faucet. It took the plumber no more than 20 minutes to complete the job, so doing a little math, it looks like they charge roughly $750/hour to work for you. At those prices, no wonder that they won't tell people up front how much they are going to charge. When I found this all out, after my wife called me to explain what had happened, I decided to call the owner. He seemed very disinterested to even be talking to me, was completely unapologetic, and when I told him that I intended to inform other members about this lack of integrity and price gouging, the owners exact words to me were "Do what you have to do". He couldn't have cared less. I know that they are a bigger business, based on the number of reviews that they have on Angie's List, so maybe they don't care about an individual customer, but if they treat everyone with such lack of respect, then I am shocked that they are still in business.

Roby's helped us out big time by coming out on short notice here. We were installing a new vanity and faucet, and we noticed the connection at the wall is where we have a leak. They helped us prepare the pipe and gave me plenty of advice on how to proceed. The plumber was extremely helpful and professional.

The plumber was very knowledgeable and professional. He showed up on time and did a thorough examination of my toilet and determined there was no leaks. We did, later, find out that the sink was leaking. While I was disappointed that the company did not catch this when I had the inspection, I did end up hiring them for additional work because I think they are a great company.

Roby's is always quick to send a service person and the service person is always punctual. In the last year we have had the backyard faucet replaced, a sump pump replaced, a new laundry sink installed in the basement and a device to drain that tub up to the sewer line. All have worked great and not required any additional adjustments. The staff are all professional, clean, neat and pleasant. This includes those answering the phone and scheduling the service. We will not use any other service.

As soon as I discovered the leak, I called Roby's plumbing. Fortunately he was able to come the same day. The repair person, Rick Buck, was very professional and courteous. He had the repairs done in about 20 minutes. The installation of the new pipe looks very neat. I thought the cost was very expensive but I agreed to the price up front and was very happy to have the problem fixed on the very same day.

We use Rick Buck. He is very reasonable, professional and does excellent work.
