Roby's Plumbing

We had a leak from our shower through the floor into the basement and couldn't determine what was wrong. Plumber was able to identify the cause of the problem and suggest next steps to take to fix the problem. He provided a less expensive option and a more expensive option. We plan to use this company in the future for plumbing issues.

They were on time, clean up after themselves and price was reasonable as well.

Called Roby's today to ask about scheduling a plumber to repair our shower drain. Rick was able to come today and had the problem fixed in no time. He also answered all my questions about caulking, etc. We wouldn't hesitate to use Roby's again and will also recommend them every chance we get.

I can't say enough of how well I was treated. Who would know you could get excited about a plumber!! I called around 8:15 in the morning that my water heater wasn't working. Dave was out by 9!! Very impressed. I had called Sears who I had bought the water heater from and they wanted payment over the phone and they plumber would be out between 8 and 5!! No way. Dave looked at it and showed me how the water heater was built that it didn't allow for you to clean it out and the pilot light wasn't getting enough oxygen. This is why the pilot light would go out. He showed me how I could clean it out if I wanted to try. He said he could clean it out but would have to charge me and that there wasn't a guarantee it would light. He gave me an estimate on a new water heater. I needed to call my husband to discuss with him. I called into the office a few times with questions and they were so nice and helpful. I couldn't believe how polite they were. We decided to get the new water heater and they came that afternoon and installed the water heater. They accidentally dropped it while it was in the basement. Dave asked me to come downstairs and showed me what had happened. He said he could get another one or I could take this which had 2 dents in it and he would knock $100 off of it. He assurred me that it wouldn't affect the performance. I told him it was fine to install it. It has been the best water heater. Before our water would be hot but not HOT!! We had even adjusted the temp but no. The new one is HOT!! It is wonderful. I am so happy with them that they would come and give a free estimate. Not many places will do that anymore. It was the best experience I have ever had with a plumber. They are my plumbers from now on.

Used Angie's List $20 off services coupon. Rick called to let me know he was on his way and was right on time. He was pleasant and professional. My plumbing issues were minor and easily fixed, but Rick didn't make me feel like an idiot for not knowing how to do it myself, which was nice.

They always call when they are on their way, and come when they are expected. Work was very thorough and neat, workers polite and knowledgeable and willing and able to discuss what needs to be done. We have an old, quirky house, but that didn't phase them.

When the shower handle came off as I tried to end my shower this morning, I realized I would need to call a plumber--and find the main water shut off. Dave from Roby's was prompt and professional. He explained his two estimates based on whether the plumbing would cooperate (it didn't), and then explained each step of the way, including cutting through my closet wall to access the uncooperative shower fixture AND using his acetylene torch to put everything back together again. He was efficient and made sure any mess was caught on the rugs he brought in from his truck to protect my floors. He helped me move some boxes I had in the closet and clothes that he wanted to be sure were protected. He not only tolerated my curious cats but pet them when he met them. He was polite and cheerful and made sure I knew warranty information regarding my new fixture. He answered my questions and assured me the new product he installed would be less of a problem to repair IF needed in the future. I would happily have him return again, hopefully on a planned, not emergent, basis in the future.

They came promptly and on time, but they did not know how to do the work. They ended up saying they could not do the work and would not be able to help. They said the work would be unsafe to do.

First of all, I appreciated that Roby's was willing to come out the day after I called them. When the plumber (Rick) arrived, I took him first to the outside faucet. It is embarrassing to tell this on myself, but Rick took one close look at the faucet and told me the problem wasn't in the fixture, but in my hose. He helped me to hook up another one to the faucet and, as he had assured me, there was no water squirting anywhere. It was quite apparent that I knew nothing about this sort of thing and, had he not been honest and ethical, he could have told me that I needed anything from a minor to a major repair and I would not have known otherwise. With that first job completed in about two minutes time, we moved on to the problem with the hot water in the shower. Rick had to work in the tight quarters of a tiny closet to access the pipes behind the tub, but he took it in stride. He looked carefully at all of the pipes and then made the determination that the problem was that a screw inside the fixture for the hot water had rusted and worn loose. He showed me exactly what the problem was. In a short time, he had it repaired and the hot water was flowing again. Rick was professional, friendly, polite, and had a great attitude and sense of humor. He worked quickly and obviously knew what he was doing. While he could have taken advantage of my ignorance of anything mechanical, he didn't. He made sure that I knew what was going on and showed me exactly what he was doing. He earned both my respect and my trust. I was impressed with Roby's again when, about a week or so after the service was completed, I received a stamped postcard asking me to provide them feedback on my experience, and specifically about the "service technian." It also included a phone number and invited me to call if I wanted to make additional comments. This is obviously a company that cares and they hire employees who care as well. I would be happy to recommend their services to anyone.

I called around 9am. A serviceman called back within 20 minutes and was on the way. He replaced the laundry tub and connections, including faucets that were frozen in place. I asked him to replace washing machine hoses and he had the appropriate hoses on his truck. By 11:30 all was repaired. This is definitely the best plumbing service I've ever had.

We would highly recommend for all your plumbing needs. They were professional, timely and did exactly what they said. The work was excellent and at a fair price.

They were wonderful. It was fair. They didn’t try to sell things, like the other companies which came in and were trying to sell water heaters and all kinds of crazy stuff. They came in and dealt with what they were dealing with. They did a good job. They were clean. They were on time. They were perfect; if we had to do something else we would definitely have them back. They were straight to the point which is what I needed. That is what we got. They really were easy to work with.

The rep from this company came out to my mom's house which I take care of. He was really great & very professional. He was the first person we had out that didn't try & tell us that we needed more than we actually did. He worked very efficiently & quickly. Of all the vendors we've had out he was the first one to actually fix the problem!

They are very good but expensive. Dave came out and I liked him. He was very polite and very good at what he did. He was fast and efficient. He did a great job. Even though they are expensive, they do the job right the first time.

I called them and they fix the drain. They opened the wall so I could access the drain. They showed me how to fix the problem if it arises in the future. They were very nice.

Overall the services was very good. I would use the service again.

I noticed my water heater had sprung a leak and called Roby?s on Saturday at 8:00. By 10:00 the plumber arrived and replaced my leaky water heater within 2 hours. Roby?s was prompt, professional, and completed the project for the original amount quoted over the phone. I was very pleased with the responsiveness and quick turn around given it was a Saturday. I will definitely use Roby?s again for all my plumbing needs.

Everything went fine. I received the call that the serviceman was on his way and he arrived within the timeframe given me. He went right to work and removed the dead main sump pump motor and replaced it. And cleaned-up the basement floor afterwards. I have no complaints. I am thankful that I received such quick and courteous service. I had a new main sump pump within 12 hours after the old worn-out pump died. I can't ask for anything better than that. And I am so thankful that the pump back-up worked as quickly and as well as it did. It saved my basement and all the furnishings in it. I dread to think of what I would be facing if it wasn't for that back-up system that Roby's Plumbing installed........years ago.

Overall the service was great. I would use their service again.

I had just bought a house. No appliances, and all my stuff is in the garage until the flooring is replaced. When I called Roby's the first time, I was in a panic. I was leaving shortly for the 900 mile round- trip to pick up my dogs and couldn't leave that leak. I looked on Angie's List and called the first name. The dispatcher, Larry, said he could have someone at my home in an hour. Five minutes later, he called to report the man was on his way. Rob was professional, neat and knew exactly what he was doing. He made a great first impression of Roby's. The second time I called I had done some research on the faucet and knew it was old, it had a filter and that it was icky. Again, Larry said a technician was almost finished nearby and would be there soon. This time Kevin was the tech. He listened to my complaint about cold showers and then tried the first faucet. He couldn't budge it and it was not the filter causing the problem. The faucet had corroded. The second one he could finally get to move to hot. He explained what would have to be done and what the cost would be. I asked about the second one and he said it would eventually have the same problem. I chose to do them both the same time and am I happy with the results. Roby's were there when I needed help. The techs are professional, knowledgeable, and have good communication skills and great customer service skills. And they are very careful to put down mats which makes clean up easy. I will call them again.

It went very well and the technician was through and cleaned up after installing the new pump.

The pipe replacement went well.The shower/tub valve was more problematic.

The service turned out ok and we were pleased with them.

I had a plumber, Rick, come out to fix a garbage disposal in my kitchen (it was a minor repair), but I asked if a garbage disposal could also be installed in another sink. Rick said it was no problem, and he quickly installed a really nice one that he had in his van. When I called to schedule an appointment, I assumed I'd have to wait a day or two, but Rick arrived about an hour or two after I called. Quick and efficient service!

Overall, I felt Rick was honest, professional and helpful. He was patient in answering all my questions, which I really appreciate. I will call this company again in the near future. I plan on having my toilet and bathroom sink replaced and I plan on calling Roby's.
