Roby's Plumbing

We called after spotting a water stain on our kitchen ceiling. Dave arrived on the scene shortly after I phoned in about our issue. After taking a look and pinpointing the problem, he provided me with a rundown of what would be done along with a price. While working, Dave was very helpful in explaining the issue and how he would go about repairing it. Despite running into a couple of irregularities, he was able to think on his feet and provide a solution.

Explained the damage once he dug up the discharge line. Repaired quickly and replaced dirt and mulch that was removed to do the repair.

Upon moving into the home a month ago, we noticed the toilet was making an odd noise after flushing and during the tank fill. I also had some leaking water around the toilet area. I had originally scheduled another service provider for the next day when something came up at work. I called Roby's to see if they had an availability that afternoon and to my surprise they did. Dave arrived promptly after I received a call from the dispatch indicating he was in-route. Dave quickly identified that an internal component in the tank was bad causing the odd sound and due to the age of the toilet the defective component could not be replaced w/ modern items. Dave recommended toilet replacement and indicated that he had one in stock on his truck. I agreed to the replacement and Dave completed the toilet replacement on the spot. The entire experience was about 2 hours and I couldn't be more happy w/ the end result. Dave was knowledgeable, quick, and extremely professional. In addition, we determined that the possible leak did not originate from the toilet but overflow/splash from the shower and it simply pooled and collected near the toilet. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend Roby's Complete plumbing service.

This provider was on time and gave an estimate for all repairs before completing the work. They were quick to call me back which I really appreciated.

They were there before time that I was told. Gave a very accurate estimate and did the work very quickly. Very impressed. My other first choice plumbing company would not have able to get to the house until Friday. I guess that they are now #2 and Roby's has become my 1st choice.

The drain was leaking. It was a rusted out section below the kitchen sink behind the plaster wall. The plumber removed a section and tested the line. It didn't leak, but it was clear the removed section was not all of the rusted part. Instead of removing more wall and plumbing, the plumber decided to bypass the vent to the roof and put in a studer valve. The larger straight run pipe in the basement was also replaced. The plumber cleaned out the drain below the basement floor multiple times to insure it was clear. The repair has been working fine. The hole in the wall is neat and not too big. We would have preferred a written estimate with our options shown. The reputation of the studer valve is not great. We might have chosen to have more of the pipe removed and maintained the original roof vent. There was time for the decision since the job was started on Monday and the return trip to complete it was Wednesday.

The man was very nice, however he needed to replace the shower drain that had snapped off and we were unable to screw it closed to take a bath. The house is only 7 yrs old so things are not too old. The worker told me that they didn't make the part anymore and the only way to fix it would be to cut out a part of my wall to access the pipe to fix it. I asked if he was sure because everything is fairly new in the house. He assured me that it was the only way. He cut a whole in my wall and then he realized that the part wouldn't fit. He made a few calls and went to the hardware store and bought the part he needed. He said "sorry" that he didn't need to cut into the wall, but he didn't do drywall repairs. My drain is now fixed, but I have a big whole in my wall and they have no intention of repairing.

Roby was very responsive. The plumber was on time, courteous, professional, thorough and very knowledgeable. He completed the work quickly and cleaned up afterwards.

We were quite satisfied with them. They were punctual.

The plumber arrived on a Friday afternoon within 1 and 1/2 hours of my calling Robys. I felt this was very adequate for a situation that was not an emergency. They had established that I did not have multiple drains involved and that water was not flowing on the floor on the phone before we had arranged for the plumber to com to my home. We discussed the approximate costs involved and when I mentioned I had chosen the company through Angie's List they reminded me to print out the coupon they had. I liked this. I feel it is a mark of good faith when a company goes out of their way to alert you to discounts. The plumber listened to the methods I had already tried- which at least made me feel like less of an idiot, and said an auger was the last option. Thankfully that worked. I mentioned that I was looking for a new toilet since I have been having trouble with this model in both my bathrooms. He told me what his company offered and the price but in no way did he try to pressure me into buying it. Overall, he did a very nice, quick job and moved on. I wouldn't hesitate to use Robys again if this service call is indicative of their work.

I was having trouble with my house sewer backing up when I did laundry - usually tree roots. I've used Roby's before and have been very pleased. After repeated attempts to clear the line, the laundry still caused a back-up. Roby's said they did all they could with the equipment they have and referred me to Curt and Jerry's (also on Angie's List) for this type of problem. In spite of being here for over 30 minutes and running the line several times, they did not charge me for the visit! Excellent customer service!

Overall, the job was completed to my satisfaction.

It was easy to schedule an appointment; the telephone staff was professional. The technician was clean and kept the work area clean. He provided detailed explanation of the problem and offered different solutions.

It went great. Embarrassed to say, all he did was turned the faucet on quite high. He thinks it was just one of those things. However I have had recent water issues, and we agreed I would not do anything with the faucet until he arrived. I am doing some work on my house now. I will be getting a new sink and faucet. I will definitely be calling Roby's and Rick to do the install. I would recommend them to anyone.

They very professional and prompt. I called that morning and they were at my house within 5 hours. I would use this company again and recommend them to others.
