Had the equipment stalled in 2020. Just recently found out that it was used equipment from 2015 and already paid a very large amount of money for the rain soft water softener had to call them back do to very poor install had water and electric lines running all over my walls then they told me they had a lifetime guarantee but failed to mention the only way that lifetime guarantee is guaranteed as if they do a $100 service call and then going to charge me for whatever it is that they do as well. We're not recommend rainsoft at all. If I could give negative stars I would give him -5

I called to get a quote for an upgrade. After much discussion it was decided the best thig was just to do the yearly maintenance and repair what is broken. I was quoted $109. I called the office to make the appointment. I was then told $139. I asked why the discrepancy. I was told a gas surcharge. I understand the need with gas being so high but I refused to be gouged like that. I told her to cancel the appointment. I figured a FB message would get to the owner. I then got 2 more stories as to why. I then called Rainsoft Corporate and was told these people lost their contract years ago. Rainsoft cancelled their contract and they aren't even authorized dealers or repair shop. It turns out they are committing fraud. There is only one authorized dealer in the area and these people aren't it. Do NOT waste your time or money. Who knows what you're going to get. I can tell you, according to Rainsoft Corporate, it's not going to be anything legitimate.

I purchased a home that we have been living in for 10 years and the home came with a Rainsoft system. The system needed service as we started noticing the water becoming hard and iron stains started appearing in the sinks, toilet bowls etc. After reaching out to schedule a service call, I was told it would be $119 however, I would receive a coupon in the mail prior to the call to save $10. This is where things started to unravel. The coupon never arrived and the technician never arrived during the two hour window that was provided during the confirmation call, on the day of the appointment. After the window came and went, I kindly placed a call to confirm that the tech would be coming and was told that he would arrive in 20 minutes. The 20 minutes turned into one hour and upon his arrival, there was no acknowledgement or apology for his tardiness . Not only that, the individual arrived in an old, beat up, unmarked mini van and I only knew he was with Rainsoft after he introduced himself. After an inspection of my system, it was determined that the system had failed due to age, as it was approximately 20 years old, understandable. I was left with an estimate of $6000 to replace the system and I set the expectation that I would follow up to start the interest free offer. After about one hour of the "tech" leaving, the office (I believe his name was Shay)called and stated that the tech asked for them to call to start the process. As any savvy consumer would, I told him that I was going to shop around and I could immediately sense the callers demeanor change. After shopping around, I learned that Rainsoft is about 3 times higher than the competition and offers a product that is no better than the rest. I would highly recommend doing your research before doing business with this outfit. Horrible service and overpriced products.

The sales person made a huge ordeal about how much money we would save each month by using the lifetime supply of "special" soap products provided as part of the package deal that would be delivered upon installation. We negotiated a lower price which we believed still included the soaps since we both signed a form to that effect. The sales rep continued to rave about how much we would love using the soap products and would enjoy them as soon as the installion was complete. That didn't happen. The soaps were never delivered but a notation was entered on the completion form showing them as a delivery shortage. After a very busy month of settling in and fixing several major issues, I finally took time out of my work day to call about the missing soap products. The lady who answered the call was shocked and said we would receive them at our house later that day and that they would call back to confirm the delivery. That didn't happen either. So, I let another week go by before I took more time out of my work day to call again. I was shocked to find out that RainSoft had no intention of providing the soap products to us since "we got too good of a deal" from the sales person. The manager and the GM initially refused to uphold that part of the deal even though we had signed documentation. After a series of discussions, they finally agreed to give us the soap products if we picked them up. They were adamant that they would not tolerate a sales rep lying to them or to the customer and promised to deal with him directly. There was also miscommunication from the installers regarding replacing our existing faucet to match the RODI dispenser. Apparently my husbands comment of "We might be interested in doing that at some point later on" translated to the installer placing an order. However, they were never installed since RainSoft never contacted us about them. The installers took more than 3 hours to complete the job which was expected to take less than 2 hours, according to the sales rep. The installers practically spent more time taking smoking breaks then they did working but the job was completed and we've had no problems with the system.

Once he arrived with the tank for reinstall, he did a good job and our problem is fixed. However, we were given an 11 am to 1 pm time-frame for service. He showed up at 6:45 pm, only to have to return the next day with the tank. Granted it was a late day for him, but he was very unfriendly. He showed up on time the next day. The tank is under warranty and there is no cost however, to install the new tank, in approx. one hour, it cost $255. That is a high hourly rate.

When the tech, Tony, came out he was very helpful and got our unit in working order. However, it became apparent after a week or so that it wasn't functioning properly. We scheduled another appt. and were told we would have to pay the service fee of $110 if it was not the same problem. I cancelled the appt. since we weren't SURE it wasn't working and didn't want to have to pay the fee if it was. We called again when we were sure it needed to be looked at and my husband told them that we were quite sure it never cycled properly after the initial run & that we wanted it to be in working order; we felt this was reasonable. When Tony came back he was very polite & helpful & fixed the problem (something got jammed up). He told me that he would NOT charge us, even though the office people said we would be charged for the visit. I really appreciated that & offered him at least a small payment which he would not accept. I was impressed with Tony but not the other people I dealt with.

We were shown how our water could be conditioned and were sold a program to condition our water and dramatically reduce the amount of soap we used. I am extremely dissatisfied with the water conditioner. Rainsoft promised we would use one-tenth the soap we currently used. They gave us an "eight year supply" of soap products for a family of four. The only promise that has been realized by the purchase and use of your product is that our clothes stink to high heaven. Dish towels, wash cloths, everything STINKS if it gets wet. We've had people out three times and we still have not seen the savings in soap and detergent. We went through the "eight year supply" in less than six months. I wish I'd never purchased the Rainsoft products and am contemplating having it replaced with a normal water softener, so that I can give them a testimonial and my clothes will stop stinking! We were lucky that we were home when the pipes came apart. They cam out and fixed within 24 hours.

Mike worked tirelessly to complete the tasks of installing a water softener system and new external water spigot. He was handed a complex installation, which he completed on time and with great care.
