Par 5 Lawn Care

I have been using their services for five to six years now. I like that they are very fast and very thorough when they come out. They come out as a team. They are very clean and they will blow off any grass off the porch or driveways.

When the conditions are ideal (dry, healthy lawn), the service has been satisfactory. However, the quality leaves a lot to be desired! They use large deck mowers and race through the lawn horizontally, causing uneven cuts and visible tracks. The tracks are often more like ruts because they use poor judgment when evaluating the condition of the lawn before cutting. Wet cuts leave flattened grass and piled clippings instead of even cuts, and they do not consistently adjust the height to the lawn conditions. We were patient with the cut quality until they turned a beautiful, irrigated green lawn into a brown, dead-looking lawn with just one visit with a deck mower set too low (this was confirmed by our Tru-Green service). It has been two weeks, and our lawn has still not recovered despite a premium, moisture sensing irrigation system. Even the trim work is performed all the way down to the soil instead of leaving blades of grass! Because of these quality issues, we will not be using this service and would not recommend them to anyone.

We use them on a seasonal basis. They have always been very responsive and open to comments and suggestions. They do a great job. They are very responsive. If a problem does arise, they are able to resolve the situation immediately. I have been using them for about 10 years now and will continue to use them in the future.

They came out during the day while we were gone and left a written estimate and lawn analysis sheet, stating the type of lawn we have and the weeds that need to be controlled.

Work was accomplished satisfactorily.

They did a good job and our lawn looks great. They were very thorough and did exactly what they were supposed to do. They left every thing very clean. I would use this company again.

They do and excellent job on both the fertilization and maintenance.

Although I was impressed that John did not try to upsell me on a more extensive (and expensive) renovation. I really wanted to choose Par 5 for my renovation then use another company on my side of town for maintenance, but Par 5 doesn't do renovations unless you sign up for a maintenance contract. John seemed very experienced and knowledgeable about lawn care, but in the end, I felt a better connection with another contractor who seemed *exceptionally* knowledgeable about agronomy & lawn care.

Called them to get an estimate on mowing and they took my information. They said one of the two guys would contact me. We agreed on a two day window to contact me. They did not call and gave me the impression that they did not need the business.

Anticipating the heavy snowstorm in February, we asked neighbors who they used to plow their driveways (our snow blower would not start). One recommended 1-800 Lawncare (aka Par-5 Lawn Care?) and their price was lower than others. Indeed, it did snow while we were out of town for several days and 1-800 Lawncare agreed to do our driveway two times in our absence. We were able to get into our garage upon returning to Indianapolis. The cost was comparable to our neighbors, even though our driveway is longer.

They evaluated the problem and did the work. New grass is already growing. I thought this was a reasonable amount to pay for a third ton of topsoil and seed.

It was a little challenging at first to get them to come out - but once I got on their schedule - the quality of work has been nothing less than perfect

After 3 years of not having any problems, we contacted the service desk starting on 5/26/06 because of a potential lawn fungus. We called again on the next week and emailed the Service Manager the following week. We received no response to our concerns. So after 4 weeks had elapsed without a response, we called and cancelled the service. At the time we cancelled, they said someone had come out the 2nd week and written an extensive report, but it must have been lost. My response was they were more interested in the $70 than the health of my lawn. So the continued relationship was no longer mutually beneficial! I hired another company the next day. They cost more but were highly rated by Angie's List.

They are wonderful. They also do cleaning, weeding of the yard and pruning of the trees. They keep our yard spotless. They are very responsive and I am very well pleased with them.

For 18 years we have used this company. Until recently we were pleased...the yard is great. Spraying for the trees was in part not effective. One of my main complaints was the timing of applications. For example April 15th application put on in early March. They said we couldn't do 1500 on the same day. As long as we have used them it would appear we could be closer to optimum. So this year my yard man is going to perform applications. Then I called to check on trees they had successfully sprayed but they refused this service because I cancelled yard applications. When I called back the receptionist said she was also surprised at the refusal and said the MAN thought it would be too expensive...the cost was not a concern!

I HAVE NEW GRASS COMING UP AFTER TREE REMOVAL. MY YARD ALWAYS LOOKS NICE WHEN THEY WORK ON IT.

ALWAYS ON TIME, LAWN LOOKED GREAT BUT HARD TO ASK QUESTIONS SINCE YOU DIDN'T KNOW WHEN THEY WERE COMING, ETC.

THEY DO FIVE TREATMENTS A YEAR, AT $40 A TREATMENT.

WE HAVE USED PAR 5 LAWN CARE FOR THE PAST 10 YEARS. THEY PROVIDE EXCELLENT SERVICE AT A GREAT PRICE. SERVICE PERSONNEL ARE ALWAYS POLITE, EFFICIENT, AND ARE GENUINELY CONCERNED ABOUT THE APPEARANCE OF THE LAWN. MANAGEMENT USES AN ANNUAL LETTER TO OFFER SERVICES AT A 10% DISCOUNT IF PREPAID. GREAT SERVICE. WE HAVE RECOMMENDED THEM TO MANY OF OUR NEIGHBORS, AND ALL HAVE BEEN PLEASED WITH THEIR SERVICE FOR MANY YEARS.

NEAT, PROFESSIONAL JOB AT ALL TIMES. FREE ESTIMATES. IN JANUARY, PAR 5 GIVES A DISCOUNT FOR THE UPCOMING SEASON IF YOU PAY IN ADVANCE.

THIS IS THE BEST COMPANY IN INDIANAPOLIS. WE HAVE USED THEM FOR AT LEAST 15 YEARS. THEY ARE ALWAYS RESPONSIVE TO OUR LAWN NEEDS! OUR NEIGHBORS ACCUSE US OF PAINTING OUR LAWN GREEN BECAUSE IT LOOKS SO GOOD..........
