Description of Work: In 2013 I signed a 3-year contract with Par 5. The contract included 5 applications per year. The company complied with this plan up until this year, regularly showing up first in April and the last application in the late fall. The lawn started out great but has been slowing declining ever since. This year I'm particularly not happy. | |First, I called for the service in late March and was told it would be out within a few days. No one appeared. I called back on April 12 and asked where they were. The gal in the office told me we were not down for this application, just the rest of them. I corrected her, as I clearly had the contract in front of me, as well as the five papers from 2014 they had left on my door as confirmations that they'd been there with their dates, the first of which was April 10. She apologized and said someone would be right out. Two days later a man did appear. The first thing he did was walk to my door and leave me a BILL for $46.33 for that application. Immediately intercepting him, I told him this was an error--I was prepaid for 3 years, including this application. He called the office, got confirmation that I was right, and told me to disregard the bill. So their records were still wrong there, even after my first call. | |We have a property of about 1/3 acre. He rode around that property to spray in literally three minutes. I watched him in the front--the area he covered was nowhere close to complete. He blew off the driveway for another 2-3 minutes tops, and lickety split, he packed up his machinery and was gone. | |The yard doesn't look that good this year. Despite their charge of over $750, we have areas where the grass has died and there is bare ground left, particularly near the landscaped areas surrounding the house. For that kind of money, there is no excuse for having bare ground or moss. This is NOT a heavily shaded property. I attribute it to lack of attention and carelessness while applying their products. Their people all along have been all about speed at the expense of quality. | |We will not be rehiring this company. Between the price, the ridiculous double confusion in the office, the less-than-satisfactory condition of the lawn, and the absurd rush by their applicator, we feel we can certainly find some other company to do a better job with closer attention to the end product and customer care at a more reasonable price.

Description of Work: I use the company for lawn fertilization and aeration. The lawn looks pretty good since starting service with them. I have been using the company for over 10 years. The staff who have been out are very nice.

Description of Work: They cleaned out several flower beds and mulched them. There was some confusion about who was coming and when to give an estimate. Actual workers skipped one bed and rather begrudgingly did it when I pointed it out to them. We also use them for lawn weed control and fertilizing. |

Description of Work: had them bid me a lawn fungus treatment job. Guy came out, thoroughly looked things over and spent some time discussing on the phone a couple of times. Got what i felt was a very honest answer to a difficult issue. I've decided not to chemically treat my lawn, mostly because of what he told me. However, if i change my mind, i will use them to treat my lawn more aggressively.
