I was very satisfied. They moved the air conditioning unit away from the wall and did an overall great job.

Everything from start to finish was great. Showed up on schedule to examine AC and Furnace to diagnose issue. Blower in furnace broke beyond repair so needed to replace blower or furnace. Our technician helped us weigh our options and even helped with paperwork for getting energy efficiency rebate from Citizens Gas. Furnace worked great in winter and AC working great this summer with a noticeable decrease in gas usage in winter as compared to our older unit.

Excellent process from the estimate through installation. Jeff was extremely polite, professional and willing to work with us to insure we received the best deal. Everyone was on time for the actual installation, things went quickly and smoothly, the workers cleaned up after themselves and we were extremely pleased with the process and the product.

Was not the lowest bidder amongst three offers.

Great very professional and thorough. We only had one Vent in our unfinished 800 sq foot basement and prior to getting it finished it was necessary to add additional vents .The Northern comfort team arrived on time, worked proficiently extending out the existing ducts from the Hvac system and installing a whole house humidifier as well. The air flow in the basement is now equal and it very comfortable.

We scheduled and appointment with Jeff to come to our home and give us a quote to replace the existing furnace and A/C units. The home has two of each so it would have been a fairly big job; he was recommended to us by our realtor and that is why we called him. The appointment was set for 1PM and we even called the day before to confirm the appointment (which Northern should have done!). We waited until 1:10 and he still had not arrived so I called his office and they put me on hold while they checked to see why Jeff was late. Meanwhile, Jeff called me on the other line so I took the call. He said he was "running late" and could we reschedule for 3-4 hours later. My husband and I had left our jobs and driven across town to meet him and it would have been inconvenient to reschedule. That is the whole reason for making an appointment! If he was running late, he should have organized his day better and accounted for a possible delay OR called earlier in the day when he knew he was going to be late, and before we had taken time away from work to let us know he was running late and wanted to reschedule. We were upset and disappointed that our time had been wasted and inconvenienced and we asked him to be faithful and keep the appointment with us that day but he said the soonest he could get there would be 60-90 minutes later. That was unacceptable and we expressed that to Jeff, who replied, "I'm sorry you feel that way" -- I hope he made a lot of money from the reason that prevented him from keeping his appointment with us, because he lost out on at least a $10,000.00 job....business must be good if he can afford to turn away business. Jeff, if you are reading this, just remember that word of mouth (and Angie's List) is the best form of advertising.....I'm afraid our word of mouth regarding Northern is not going to be good. We notified our realtor what happened and he was shocked, saying he would never recommend Northern to any more of his clients....and neither will we!

Great service and would recommend. They also didn't make us pay for the service call.

I recently found them on Angie’s List. For the diagnosis, I used Angie’s List coupon and got half off of that. I think they did a good job. This is probably the 3rd time I have used them.

Gianee from Northern Comfort was punctual, courteous, professional, and answered my questions honestly I felt. I happened to say something about my screen door not shutting correctly as he was exiting it once while he was here, and the next thing I knew, he had a tool in his hand and was attempting to fix it! Talk about great customer service! He went above and beyond the call of duty, and I give Gianee an A+.

Owner Jeff Pittman, came and discussed our needs for the heating and cooling of our rental property. He took the time to discuss the differences in the options available and recommended one that fitted our needs. He fully described the work and stopped by after the work was complete to inspect the work and answer any questions.

They are excellent. I have been very happy with them.

Brandon showed up on time. He is the same technician we had last Fall for the furnace appointment. Brandon was professional, polite and thorough. The system was checked and cleaned. Brandon asked if I was interested in continuing on the maintenance plan and I enthusiastically said yes. He also offered to add servicing our tankless water heater for an additional charge. The water heater is new this year so I initially said no. I contacted a plumber friend and asked what he thought about the price and the service and he said I should do it as it s worth the additional cost and will keep our water heater functioning properly. I contacted Northern by phone and they added the water heater to our maintenance agreement. I can't say enough good things about this company. Having had several bad experiences with a couple of HVAC companies it has been great these last three years working with Jeff and his crew. Thanks!

Arrived early and was very efficient.

Northern was absolutely horrible. Jeff Pitman was as nice as he could be on the sales and service side, but the work was always substandard. The air conditioning froze up numerous time; and while Northern would responsively come out to inspect, the problem would always recur. The heating system was much of the same. The technicians simply did not understand our zoned system. They would come out, charge us, and never fix the problem. We are now using a different company.

We had several quotes from a variety of companies from Angie's List and this one was by far the best! They were quick to respond to concerns and arranged to come around my work schedule. They are a smaller company and have less overhead, so they prices are significantly less than larger companies. Not only are they more affordable, but the quality of customer care is much greater than with the big name companies we have used in the past. Making a larger purchase is never easy but I couldn't be more satisifed with my experience.

First of all..they did not charge to come out to give me an estimate for a second opinion. The company is smaller than most and much more customer service oriented than larger companies that have such a large customer data base that when things do break down they cannot service you in an appropriate time frame. i called Northern first thing this morning. I spoke to a very polite lady on the phone who sent Brandon out to my home to take a look and go over my options. He was here by 10am. It took less than two hours to get him out here. Beginning of May is prime time for seasonal break downs. Brandon was a very polite and well informed on heating and air conditioning and took the time to go over what is wrong with my unit and possible reasons it failed. Overall cost to replace my coil is going to cost much less than the larger company that installed my unit, which in my opinion has already taken me to the cleaners. We will be using them for this repair just as long as we're not bound to the other company that gave us a price of $1,100. Just a tip I think I will use next time..call Northern first! Looks as though I will be saving about $400 total. The total savings though is not the only reason I will call them back but a piece of mind for next time. If you want a smaller company that has professionals come out to service your heating and cooling needs and leave you feeling confident that your not getting ripped off call Northern. They were on time, polite and easy to work with.

I'm telling my neighbors to call him, he's located nearby. Services turned out great. He was very nice. He showed me how to take the cover off my furnace.

We called Northern Comfort to install a new furnace in our home. We felt they were good, on time, and very courteous. They are also really good about responding quicly to any questions we had after installation and when the job was complete we did have a few complaints or issues and I'm happy to say they didn't hesitate on getting the issues resolved right away. Would use again for future service needs.

Furnace was not working properly but I would get some heat- I called this company because of the reviews and they work saturday and I wouldn't have to take off work. Called on a Monday and they said no reason to wait to Saturday they would meet me after work.Came home from work they were out front waiting. Fixed the furnace and it has been working great. I won't ever call anyone else.

The owner was incredibly knowledgable and kept in constant contact with us about our problem and possible solutions. The tech that came for installation was very knowledgable and professional. We are very happy with the timing of the service and our new furnace!

I felt like Northern Comfort Systems did a good job of providing an honest assessment and laying out all of the different options. I would use them again in the future.

The pilot light on our gas furnace would not stay lit. The technician came out at the time scheduled (actually, he was early so he called to see if it was OK to come early). Upon a discussion about the problem, he thought it was a thermocouple, and quoted around $100 and 20 minutes to fix. After looking into it further, he realized it was a different malfunctioning part, which would be closer to $500. Because of the age of the furnace (24 years old), we discussed replacing the furnace instead of replacing parts. We discussed options, and decided on a higher efficiency furnace with lower BTUs. A different technician arrived two days later and installed the new furnace in a few hours. None of the technicians were pushy and none tried to "upsell." We were pleased with the service. I was charged for the initial visit where nothing was fixed, but that charge went towards the second visit/ installation.

Great- one call fix- the tech advised me to call and schedule a cleaning in the morning so not to incure the after hours charge. Personable and polite and helpful is the best way to describe the experience.

Company did an excellent job replacing our air conditioner unit and hot water heater. It started with a service call for a defective system. As it turned out, our hot water had started to leak about the same time and needed to be replaced as well. I had them give me a quote for the replacement work and was most comfortable with them and happy with the price and quality of the equipment after comparing it with two other companies. The service men were very thorough and careful. I always have a lot of questions and they were very informative about the process and the units they were installing. They cleaned up everything very thoroughly afterwards. There was a small misunderstanding about applicable discounts on the final bill and the owner split the difference with me, which I considered very fair. Will definitely use them again for any related work.

Jeff came out and gave me a quote. He was very professional and patient with my questions. Explained everything that needed to be done clearly. He took in to account my concerns and plan for the house and did not try to sell me more than I needed for my small house. No pressure to decide immediately on work. Once I called him back to schedule, it was scheduled within about a week. His guys came on time, were very professional and careful to protect other things in the basement. Cleaned everything up. Jeff came out himself initially to ensure that things were done how we had discussed. I had received another quote from another company that was signficantly higher. had one very minor issue after installation that they came out immediately and resolved. I was very happy overall with my experience and the work done. I would highly recommend Jeff and his team to others.
