Description of Work: They replaced a circuit and defrosted board censors to repair my heating system.

Description of Work: I have used Northern Heating and Cooling to service my boiler system for the last year. Gianni has been informative and honest with how the system works. He helped me to get another company's substandard work repaired. I have also used them for some plumbing repairs. Always shows up on time and I have never had to have them back to repair their work. Highly recommend them.

Description of Work: The gentleman that come called before he showed which I appreciated. He took his time going over my air conditioning system. Since I had no one out in over two years I knew there might be problems. Nor only did he show me the part needed, but he also quoted the cost. I felt for all the work he did, the price was very fair. I signed up with the company for their Maintenance Plan. I am to hear from them regarding my yearly inspection of the furnace, which he told me they would contact me and I make the appointment. Glad to hear. Very pleased with the service as well as the way I was treated.

Description of Work: My a/c had started acting funny. The a/c unit itself was staying on, but the fan was not blowing the air. Tech that came out was very professional and able to diagnose the problem was with my thermostat not sending the signal to my unit in the basement to turn the fan on. I have a Nest thermostat. He said it was most likely a common wire that would need to be installed. He suggested I call Nest and boy am I glad I did. Nest will actually reimburse the full amount of the cost to install the common wire. The service tech came back the next day after diagnosing to install the common wire.

The technician performed the furnace inspection and only needed to make a minor adjustment to bring the unit back to peak efficiency. |They were very communicative throughout from scheduling all the way to time of arrival and service performed.

Description of Work: I purchased a groupon for a furnace checkup. I hadn't used it yet and Rachelle emailed me to ask if I would like to schedule, so I went ahead and scheduled an appointment. Wouldn't you know, the Sat. before my scheduled appointment for Monday, my furnace went out. They applied my groupon towards the service call. Found out that my 26 year old unit needed to be replaced. The technician was very professional and explained everything to me thoroughly. I told him that I was getting a second opinion and another quote. He was not offended at all. I had another person come out and even though they were less expensive, I had a really good feeling about Northern. They are going to be here in the morning to put in my new furnace so I will post another review after that experience. Very happy so far!! |

He got the furnace running again before he left and gave us info and pricing to have the problem parts replaced for a permanent fix, but did not pressure us to commit to making any purchases.

Description of Work: furnace stopped working during the night. Called the emergency number and spoke to someone and a repair person called back right away came out within an hour. blower motor needed replaced and he came back shortly with motor and fixed it. very professional.

Description of Work: Our air conditioning quit on the hottest Saturday a week ago and we called this company which responded very quickly. Within the hour the person was here and fixed the problem and we were very impressed. We would highly recommend this company and definitely will call them in the future if we need to.

Description of Work: Furnace wasn't working properly. I called Northern and they sent someone out within 24 hours. They found that two wires had worked loose and then rubbed together and actually caused a small electrical fire - and then fizzled out (thank God). The serviceman quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it on the spot. He was on his way with 1/2 hour.

Description of Work: I tried to wire a new thermostat, but I was not able to figure it out. I blew a fuse and called these guys. They came out within 90 minutes of me talking to them. Gave me the Angie's List discount. It was great.
