Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Indianapolis & Central Indiana

On 04/14/2106 Mr, Rooter came to my home at 5883 William Conner Way, Carmel IN 46033 to install a toilet my wife purchased. The installer’s name was Mike Kaylor. Mike told my wife not to use the toilet for 24 hours after the install. After the 24 hours, the ceiling started to leak. It hasn’t a little leak either. The dry wall was darkening and caving. My wife called Mr. Rooter of 04/15/16. Mr. Rooter called a water restoration company to come out that night. They brought out drying fans to dry out the ceiling. Then Mike Kaylor came back and said he put on the wrong coil. He replaced it. Now we were stuck with a huge whole in our kitchen. My wife called Mr. Rooter everyday asking for a manager to come look at the damage. Jeremy came out last week of April. He said he was going upstairs to see if the bathtub was the issue. My wife mentioned that Jeremy filled the tub to the very top. Then it started to leak. I guarantee you that with small children, we would NEVER fill our bathtub to the very top. That is too dangerous. My wife mentioned to Jeremy that we don’t run our bathtubs that way. Again, we have called everyday leaving a message for Mr. Rooter to come to our home this time to meet with me. I own a construction company Restor Property Restoration. We have owned our home for 10 years. We have never had a leak. Mike Kaylor was in our kitchen signing the paperwork with my wife that afternoon. There was no leak in our kitchen. Then after the toilet was installed the next day the leak began. It doesn’t add up.

They basically resolved the problem. He's responsible. He says that if there's any problem, they would take care of it.

Everything went great and as planned. They arrived within the two hour time block of the appointment. It took slightly over an hour for them to remove the old water softener and install the new one. This included installing the proper drain system for the water softener. The estimate covered everything mentioned and there weren't additional costs. I would use them again in the future.

This was a new construction issue were the safety pin for hot water needed adjusting and I needed to identify why the shower and tub spout were operating simultaneously. The deal was $90 for $200 worth of service. The plumber that arrived was on time and professional. He wasn't sure why the tub and shower issue was a problem, but did identify that the installer had used Pex for the tub spout and his company uses copper. He wasn't sure about the control pin, but verified that the hot water heater was working and on high level. The charge for replacing the PEX spout for copper as $400. I made a trip to Home Depot, spoke to a Master Plumber, verified the safety pin issues and bought a book for reference, and the materials for the copper spout (snap fit). The whole job took me about 2.5 hours and about $50 (I had to make some cuts twice). I have no plumbing experience. A trained plumber could have done it in less than an hour (there were two tubs with the same issue). It took some time, but I saved $250.

It was very easy to schedule and they were able to get me in within a week. The gentleman who came was very thorough and responsive to our questions. He also checked the sump pump in the crawl space to check it at our request. We got good tips from him. He also informed us of 5-year plan that would include the annual water heater flush with toilet tuneup and whole house plumbing inspection and we are very strongly interested in purchasing that plan. It was quite reasonable.

Professional, cheerful, knews what he was doing, and did it quickly. Had the part in the truck.

I probably won't do it again. It ended up not going good. I got the deal and I had about three or four small things that I wanted them to do. By the time I priced everything up, it was going to cost me $1000 or something. So the deal was really negligible at that point. I thought that their pricing was inflated. So I had him do one thing, just to use the deal and had somebody else figure out something else for the other stuff.

I bought a deal ($200 of work for 100) and they came out and could not find the issue. I think it was not explained properly because I could not be home. This was months ago and I expected that my $100 was wasted until a couple weeks ago they called and sent me an email reminding me I haven't used my deal. I was very happy. They had someone come out the next week and fixed everything. Can't fault them for the confusion and in the end I feel they did right by me. Thanks

Mr Rooter sent a Mike Kaylor to my home. Mike told me that he's been in the plumbing business over 25 years and it was certainly evident. This man was not only professional; but very patient. I had several questions about the part that he was replacing on my sink. He answered every single question. He did a thorough inspection to make sure his troubleshooting gave the best diagnosis. He was also very conscientious; asking for paper towels to wipe the counter or sink area whenever there was a sprinkle of water. I have hard water and don't have a water softener, Mike even shined up the sink with Lime Away at the end. I was VERY pleased with this professional and his service.

Way bigger job then planned as we hoped for a replacement faucet and needed all of the pipes changed out behind shower. Technician seemed very through and knowledgeable and initially tried to fix in a less expensive way. Very good at explain things.

This was a big deal purchase. It was not good. It was $99 for nothing. I mean, the guy was nice, but he didn't do anything. They were on time. They should have sent someone out to fix the toilet.

Didn't take any time to fix the leak and he explained what to do if it should happen again. The toilet, of course, didn't make the noise while he was there. But, he also explained a few things it could be and put our mind at ease that the pipes were probably alright. Also, suggested not to put too much money into fixing it because we would be money ahead to replace the whole toilet. I appreciate his honesty and his knowledge.

It went very well. They went above and beyond to help me and get the job done right.

Gary was unable to determine where the blockage was happening. He arranged for a representative to come out tomorrow to use a camera for more detailed info. He advised me what I should and should not do until that time and to prevent further problems. His explanation was clear and helpful. He was very courteous and concerned as I was off work ill. He made sure my garage door was shut (entrance he used into my home) so there would not be a draft from the cold wind. Very thoughtful representative of his company. I am certain the problem will be resolved...I have every confidence and would recommend Mr. Rooter to friends and family

Service went well. They took it out and I found that there was no water, I called them back, they came back within an hour and hooked it up and we were back at service at that point. I would use them again.

Showed up on time. Very polite and professional. Made the repair and left.

They did a very good job, and they guaranteed their services more than the last company I used. They also followed up later with me.

I bought an Angie's List coupon--$89 for $200 worth of plumbing. Since the hardware store where I bought the disposal charges $110 for installation, I thought this would save me some money. My mistake. Mr. Rooter charges $281 for a disposal installation, so I owed another $81. I know the confusion was my fault, but next time I'll know to ask how much the standard charges are and if I will owe any additional money. Maybe Angie's List could explain this better when they offer coupons like this.

The person who came to inspect my sump pump was very professional and spoke to me about the issues I could have if I do not keep the sump pump area clean. He also spoke to me about the water softener and the drain by my hot water heater. He did not charge me a lot for the visit and informed of things I could do to save money.

Although the service provider was friendly and timely, he arrived not familiar with the Angie's list deal or what was part of it. I had to pull it up for him on my computer for him to read. He did not do the five point toilet tune up . No shower heads or faucet aerators were cleared. He did say that everything was newer, and that it didn't need to be cleared, but I certainly would have preferred it since it was part of the deal. I did feel like he was in a hurry as well once he found out there was a deal and not just an estimate. One positive was that he found a gas leak that would have gone undetected otherwise. The water heater flush was the only actual labor done as part of this service, and that was after being told.

We had been having clog issues with one of our toilets for years. We had another plumbing company come and send a camera through the pipes in our home and saw nothing. After spending multiple times trying ourselves to force a 6' auger to unclog this toilet, I decided to call Mr Rooter. Gary came to our house and inspected the situation and even tried to use our auger to fix the issue. After having no success, My wife had him call me to discuss alternatives that would also include much more money than we were wanting to spend. I decided to go ahead and have Gary pull the toilet to send an auger deeper to find where the clog was. Once he pulled the toilet, he found the problem. Some sort of plug was lodged inside the toilet. He removed it and replaced the toilet and saved us hundreds of dollars. My only wish was that I should've called these guys sooner. Thanks Gary for saving us from more frustrations with this toilet.

it was a mess until they came and unclogged the main sewer line. they had to use a high pressure tanker truck to break the drain free.

All went well although it is looser than I'd prefer. My only complaint is the price -a $200 Groupon + $100 = $300 to install a kitchen faucet I bought at Menards store seems a bit pricey to me.

Tech was knowledgeable, timely and completed quickly.
