Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Indianapolis & Central Indiana

I initially attempted to perform the plumbing repair myself, but soon learned that there was more involved. When I decided to hire a plumber, I recalled seeing an Angie's List Big Deal certificate for Mr. Rooter. I purchased the certificate, called the number listed, and scheduled an appointment for the next day. On the day of the repair, I was notified that the plumber was tied up on a previous job and would be late. As it turned out, another plumber was called in for my job. He went to the property, determined what needed to be done, and called me with an estimate. As it turned out, my Big Deal certificate covered the work. As soon as he completed the repair, the plumber called me to let me know the outcome and thanked me for my business. It was a very good experience.

This was a great experience overall. I found a coupon for the service visit on Angie's list for $99 for 2 hours of service. I called this morning and they were able to send a plumber to the house this afternoon. They gave me a 2 hour window for his arrival and they called me when he was ten minutes out. The plumber, Nick, was incredibly nice, helpful, efficient and proficient. He completed the job and did a thorough check. He cleaned and did an extra drain cleaning with their bio-cleaner for free. He also told us that there is a 90 day warranty on the service. We ended up buying a bottle of the Mr. Rooter bio drain cleaner, which is chemical free and EPA approved. Without the Angie's List coupon, the cost would have been over $300, but the total for the service and the drain cleaner only cost us $150.

I liked that they didn’t charge me for an estimate, even if I didn’t end up going with them for the work. I made some other calls, and their price was within range of the others. Something occurred when he was working on our problem, however, so he had to leave. We were told that someone would come back out the next day, but nobody did. We had to wait an additional day before they sent someone out to finish the job.

The service was great overall. They were courteous, wore booties over their shoes to not get anything dirty in my home, and did a good job.

Our pipes were backing up and we believed we had a large clog in a pipe. We called Mr. Rooter and set an appointment. They called about an hour before the appointment block to say it would be closer to the end of the block of time. When they arrived they covered their shoes when walking through the house (even though I told them they didn't have to). I appreciated their courtesy. They took a look at our pipes and informed us it wasn't a plumping problem. We had water in all of our pipes which meant it was an issue with our septic tank. They charged us NOTHING!!! We live in the country and it typically costs $50-100 just to find out what our problem is and how much it'll cost to fix it. Not with Mr. Rooter! They were friendly and respectful. I greatly appreciated their honesty. I would gladly call them again.

They have come several times and the work has been great. We've been very happy with them.

They were suppose to come out and fix my kitchen sink and at between 2 Pm and 4 PM they called at 2 PM and said it would be closer to $ PM because they had an emergency call. Then I called them back and they said they were just getting ready to call me and tell me that they wouldn't be able to come out until next week or after 10 PM tonight. At that point I just decided to call and get another plumber out. I have 4 kids and there was no way I was going to let them come out at 10 PM.

They were up front and told us what it would cost. They could have done the work without telling us what it would cost, but they were honest with us. They told that it wouldn't cost us much and it was a routine work.
