Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Indianapolis & Central Indiana

It was satisfactory. We ended up with a final bill of $427. The plumbing work that was done was fine. I think the bill that we ended up with was a little higher than what we expected.

Working with Mr. Rooter's has been a smooth experience. I have very hard water in my area and have known that I needed a water system. I finally have it and do not have to haul salt. Even though it was costly, it will pay off in the long run. My home is at the age where it is showing wear and I am willing to make home repairs and updates a priority. Thanks to Jim, the technician, that was punctual and courteous.

It was a lot of work but they did it so professionally. They were personable, punctual, and called each time they were coming. They always came prepared. They wore shoe coverings when they came in. They worked as team and were detailed oriented. I recommend them highly.

Excellent company !! Their men showed up on time for the inspection, and then again when the work was performed. I had a conversation directly w/the owner, Bob Gallup who was very responsive as well as fair when it came to pricing for the job. Strong company w/initegrity !!

Excellent. Service techs quickly returned to shop for needed parts, returned and repaired faucet. Service techs completed agreement with checking for working condition of all sinks, showers, toilets, etc. Angie's List coupon was worth every penny!

Punctual. Very professional and explained everything clearly. Pleasant person to have in our home.

Not impressed. I thought there would be a whole house plumbing inspection, a checklist they went by, but not.

Mr. Rooter's called to schedule my appointment immediately after I purchased the Angie's List Big Deal for $89.00 for $200 of plumbing services. The appointment was scheduled for my next available time off of work. I was scheduled for the 11:00-1:00 time slot and Mr. Rooter's called to see if their plumber could come a little early. Yes! This was an informative experience; I learned a lot about plumbing from Jimmie. He was patient with all of my questions and concerns. Jimmie pulled the washer out while he went and did some of the other projects. This way he did not have to wait on me while I scrubbed the floor under and behind the washer. I now know where socks end up...under the washer! I bought a second Big Deal and have scheduled some additional work for next month. In the Ratings above, I listed Fair for the pricing. I honestly don't know the going rates.

Mr. Rroots' actual work was excellent. Unfortunately, they claimed to be overwhelmed by response to their Big Deal offer and their customer service response time, communication, and timely service delivery was terrible. A part needed to be ordered so I knew it would be at least a week before my tub faucet could be repaired. However, two weeks later I had not heard anything from anyone. When I called to inquire, was told by less than professional phone representative that the serviceman would call me back. Long story short, it took two more calls back to find out that the part wasn't in (and probably hadn't been ordered.) The serviceman who performed the work was excellent and Mr Root compensated me for their poor customer responsiveness. They need a great deal of work on their own office manaegement, but their plumbing work was excellent. I'd be willing to give them another chance because of the recovery theymade

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it was okay. They came out within the week that I purchased the Big Deal. I had them do extra work so there was an additional charge. I asked them on the phone what the charge for putting on the two new hose bibs would be. They told me they could not tell me over the phone because they needed to see it. When they came to the house I told the guy what I wanted done and he pulled out a notebook and told me what the charges would be, before he even looked at it. They obviously could have told me over the phone in the first place. If they had told me the price on the phone I probably would not have gone ahead with the Big Deal and had the work done, so I think they were a little deceiving. I think the work they did was good; I just did not like the misleading method. The deal did not go the way I thought it would go.

The estimate was off the charts. I don’t feel that I was in the right economic bracket for them. They made me sign a form that they gave me an estimate, there is no way to sign stating that I was not satisfied

Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Central Indiana was okay. They seem a little high on their pricing so it's been hard to deal with.

I had purchased a $200 Angie's List coupon for $89. First stool took 10 minutes!, the second took over 2 hours because the plumber broke a part in process of repair had to pick that part up. Parts to these stools cost perhaps $20. I complained about the $542 quote and did get a reduction. Outrageous costs! Would never use the plumber again and would be very cautious of Angie's coupons!

It went well. They looked at the job and gave me several options. They were friendly and nice. They got the work done pretty quickly and I am very pleased with their work.

I was very disappointed in the way that the certificate read on Angie's List. I had understood that it was $ 200. dollars worth if time. Instead it was a regular priced call and assessment ion the work that I asked for. The bill coming to $800 plus dollars and then " a discount of the $200.00 off of that bill. The gentleman was courteous and looked at me with understanding when I explained what my thoughts were as to the $200 dollar certificate. No where in the "deal" did it say that it would be a regular call and then a deduction from that for the certificate. I stopped and thought about the whole thing and then had the service person install a toilet for the $249 ++ and take the $200 dollars off of that total. While waiting for the estimate of the installation of the toilet - the service person got a call from a company that changes tires of their company trucks. Twenty minutes later --- after he had made sure that the tire guy was well on his way to doing his job --- the service person came back with the estimate to install the toilet. When I finally signed a paper saying that I would pay the difference... then he got started. The work was done in a half an hour and I paid the difference. I think that it would be a good idea to clarify the meaning of the what the certificate was for. Instead of saying that it is worth the dollar amount say that it would be worth the dollar amount and applied to the total estimate. I foolishly assumed that it was for $200.00 worth of work.

He was prompt, very fair and overall it was a good deal for me.

Mr. Rooter came out and cleaned out our main line. Upon video inspection, it was determined that we had multiple 'root balls' clogging our main sewer line [we live in a historic home with ceramic tile sewer line]. It was recommended that we have a clean-out installed in our main line so they could come in with heavier equipment and blast out the root balls. Instead of automatically recommending that we have our sewer line replaced, Chad wanted to offer us something that would fix the problem and not cost a fortune. We proceeded in having the clean-out installed. While a majority of the work was completed while we were at work Friday, Mike Smith, the customer service manager made it a point to call me that afternoon to give a full update on what had been completed and what needed to be done. Unfortunately the inspector was out on vacation, so we had to wait until Monday to have the backfill and hydro scrub completed. I'm not sure all companies would have an inspector come out. The fact that Mr. Rooter does gave us piece of mind. On Monday afternoon, the hole was backfilled and the hydro scrub completed. Glen made it a point to show us on the video camera the root balls in the line before and after the scrub. In fact, he wasn't satisfied until the line was as clean as it could be [he scrubbed the line twice in fact]. We appreciated the extra effort. Glen told us what we needed to do to help the dirt settle in the yard and that the company will come back out in 90 days to evaluate everything and grade the yard if needed. After the line had been scrubbed, Glen power washed the sidewalks, street and yard. All the guys that came out to the house very professional, friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied with the work. We did not price compare. I'm sure there are probably other companies that would have preformed the work for less, but would those companies have an inspector sign off on their work or offer a 20-year warranty? I'm not sure and we didn't want to take any chances. We have very happy with everything Mr. Rooter has done and will recommend them to anyone looking for plumbing services.

They were great. They were very good. I would use them again.

After having issues with another local sewer/drain cleaner, we contacted Mr. Rooter as we were pleased with the work we had previously done in our home in Northern, IN. We called on a Friday evening and were very pleased with not only the way we were treated but the ability to get someone out to the house the next day. Due to roots in our sewer line, we were getting water in the basement every time I ran a load in the washing machine. Bob came out to the house on Saturday and checked out the situation. Given the older plumbing in the house and some plumbing that was not up to code, Bob did not have the supplies in his truck to complete the job. He scheduled an appointment for us the following Tuesday. On Tuesday 6/11/2013, Bob and Junior showed up on time and completely explained what they were going to do. First, Junior rerouted the dated plumbing connected to the main line. Then, Bob cleaned out our main line. They worked on our problem for a total of 3-hours and did not leave until I had run 2 or 3 wash cycles. Bob also indicated that he did run into a couple of areas that were 'hairy' in our main line and would send someone out with a camera to assess the situation. Bob and Junior cleaned up after themselves. We have not had a problem since. Not 15 minutes after they left, someone from Mr. Rooter called to follow-up to make sure we were satisfied with the service we received. I answered yes resoundingly! Mr. Rooter is coming back out to our house on 6/20 to complete some sewer repair discovered during the camera inspection.

They were excellent! The particular person (Travis) who they sent out was excellent! And so because of him was so good. They were very efficient. They came out right away. The person who came out originally was just okay. But the person (Travis) who ended up and came out for the replacement of the toilet was excellent. He was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Never showed up at set time. When plumber arrived 2 hours late ... said he did not have tools to do the job and scheduled another appointment 4 days later. When a different plumber came on that date, again said he didn't have tools, and accused us of not having an $89.00 deal for $200.00 (the Big Deal). Terrible customer service .. no call when they were late, I had to call them. I do not believe they ever had any intention of doing any work for $89.00. Mr. Rooter had provided services for me in the past so when I had a problem with the shower I immediately called them. They came out to a**** the problem and had everything switched out in a timely manner. They always show up on time and are very professional. I can't recommend them more highly!
