Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Indianapolis & Central Indiana

I hesitate to write a review on this provider because quite a period of time has passed since my experience and I'm not sure I remember all the details accurately. I purchased the deal through Angie's List and the company called me right away to schedule service. They did not show up when they were supposed to and I had to reschedule the service. They finally sent someone out who quoted me a price that I thought was very high (over $300). It made me realize that when you purchase one of these "deals", you have no recourse if you do not like the price quoted. I will no longer make the mistake of purchasing these type of deals. I lost my $89, learned a lesson and had the work completed to my satisfaction by another plumber.

Not good... It stared with us buying the Angie's List Big Deal for $89 which was supposed to get us $200 worth of plumbing services. The first thing the tech did was up-sell us into a new PVC peatrap connection. He swore that a plastic one would be better than the brass fittings we had "which always end up failing." I guess I am the sucker, so I told hm to do what he thought was best. Unfortunately, these guys work on commission. We ended up finding that out later and got a second opinion on the PVC peatrap - not any better than what we had that worked fine. After all of that, we ended up swiping our card for $215 for a faucet change!!!! There were additional charges for the stopper, peatrap, everything else. Total cost? Over $300 for a new faucet install. We had already paid $119 for the faucet. But it gets better. His new peatrap leaked. So, he had to come back and redo the pipe he already up-sold us on. He had to completely take it apart and rebuild it with new cut pipes.Then the faucet still leaked. So a different technician came over to find out that the original tech didn't install the faucet correctly and forgot plumber's putty. Disaster. I won't say anything negative about their responsiveness or punctionality. Whoever we spoke with was very nice, completely understanding and worked to correct all of the issues. The techs themselves were very polite and on time on all 3 visits. It was just not a good overall experience. So, I hope you enjoyed my new $423 faucet story.

The plumber was punctual and knowledgeable.He made adjustments to make sure the parts he replaced stopped the leak in the faucet. They have a 2 year parts and labor on their work, so I am comfortable knowing they will come back should their be any issues with the workmanship or product failure.

I will find another contractor, get additional quotes and inform you if you would like. Then you can see for yourself how unfair Mr Rooters practices are. I will never call upon them again.

Price was a fixed price for hose spigot replacement. Quite a bit higher than other companies, especially since it was easy access in a basement, not a crawl space or slab.

Everything went okay with the job, but they thought my deal was only for $100 credit, while it was actually for $200 credit. I'm satisfied with the job they did, but I would like my $100 back that was overpaid.

Provider was prompt and pleasant. He performed the work quickly and efficiently.

I got a deal on Angie's List to replace the faucet. The serviceman was on time, professional yet friendly and did his job efficiently. This was last summer and I have had no problems with the faucet since even though he had a very cold winter. I would use them again.

I called them the other day but they were entirely too high. I had no complaints other than they were too expensive. Their quality was okay. Sometimes they were kind of late.

Shane was personable and friendly. He explained what was wrong and went to work right away. He was in and out within 1/2 hour. I was so please with the job and the price. I was very impressed with Shane and his knowledge of the problem and did a great job.

They did a great job communicating with us, including a follow up call to see how the work went and inform us of the warranty they offer on their work.

They did exactly what I needed and they were on-time. The repair only took a few minutes to complete.

The original pipe burst in November - I take full blame for that because I left the hose connected outside. Mr Rooter repaired it at the time. However, come January 2014, the brand new pipe burst again causing over $13,000 worth of damage to my home. The cause was the poor quality of the repair work done by Mr Rooter in November. When the new plumber came to fix the second burst, he thought I had done the repair job myself. Mr Rooter used a Shark Bite valve to repair the pipe. I've researched and the shark bite valve is the more expensive but easier (lazier) way to repair the pipe. Shark bite valves should not be used on exterior walls, which is something every plumber should know. There was also no insulation around the pipe, nor did they secure the pipe properly with the hose spigot. In addition to the poor quality work, the repair bill in November with Mr Rooter was almost twice as expensive as the repair bill I received from my new plumber in January.

The job went on all and I am pleased with them. I overlooked some information and purchased the wrong one, but they were kind enough to replace that. The price was also excellent. There is no problem in terms of quality and they were punctual and very responsive. I would definitely use them again.

Needing to replace a main plumbing/sewer line is a very unfortunate and inconvenient problem, but Mr. Rooter made it as tolerable of a situation as it could be. From the initial consult, to the troubleshooting, to the actual work being done, they were always prompt, professional, and courteous and the whole process took about 3 days. Writing a check for this is not fun, but I was very satisfied with the work that was done and the individuals that performed it. I have no hesitation recommending them to anyone who is in this unfortunate situation and needs to have the work done.

Excellent from first call to completion. Jonathan was great. I did not realize that sewer drain cleaning is not the same as drain cleaning. Jonathan handled it perfectly. Friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. Offered a product that will help prevent build up (it's what they are supposed to do) and gladly purchased it at a fair price.

It was fine, but not for the price paid. It was much more expensive than comparable companies and they didn't do a great job. While I think i'm partially to blame for this, i didn't entirely understand the state they'd leave it in, the back wall was a mess (I did agree for them not to repair the drywall as they were going to charge an extra several hundred dollars) and they left a smell of sewer stink in the basement, presumably from where they cut the pipe out. While I liked the plumber, when my wife had to deal with him she though he was quite rude to her. Not what you want or expect when paying a premium price.

Knowledgable and helpful but ultimately not much happened besides a lot of talk. They seemed knowledgable but unable to do much with the Groupon cost of $80.oo. I was hoping for more than talk but they were limited by the fact it is a very old house with very old pipes.

The gentleman that came out did a very thorough inspection of my plumbing and found that I needed much more plumbing replaced than I anticipated. However, he took pictures of the problem areas and explained what he was going to do in enough detail that I felt the extra work was warranted. I have since used Mr. Rooter plumbing for additional plumbing needs.
