 + -1 moreThey are very good and I enjoyed working with them. A part of their company, Metzler's Plumbing, I actually go to church with them, that's how I knew about them. They are not the cheapest in town but they do good work and they do things in a timely manner. They follow through on things and are always very polite and we really like them. They very courteous and I feel like they are fair. They do spring and fall checkups on your air conditioner and heat pump, it's a part of their service. They are just very pleasant and I would definitely recommend them.
Description of Work: I have used Williams Comfort Air. They've put in a heat pump in my condo and my mom’s condo and they've done some work on the water heater. They came and worked on my water heater probably in September.

 + -1 moreWorthless. They cancelled my appointment (by leaving me a voicemail) 3 hours before the scheduled time, and it was scheduled 3 days in advance.
Description of Work: Water cannot be turned on to my house due to a crack in the external pipe from my home to my sprinkler sysem. The pipe is pvc - same as under my sink - and it is NOT under ground. I called on Sat 1/19 to schedule an appointment, and they booked me for Tue 2/22 at 2:00pm. I received a call at 10:45am TUESDAY 2/22 that they didn't not handle sprinkler systems, and sorry for the inconvienence. The apology seemed like a joke compared tot he fact that I have not had water in to my house since Friday due to the crack, and now have to wait until who know's when to find someone else that can get out to fix it. Don't recommend this business to anyone, they clearly aren't reviewing their tickets or the urgency until a few hours before the appointment.

 + 0 moreMr Plumber was very good to work with, they needed to schedule the water heater replacement around a floor replacement on the same day. They were delayed by the other contractor and by having to obtain some materials that they did not anticiapte needing, however they remained polite and professional through the difficulties that were encountered. All of the staff at Mr Plumber were eager to satisfy my needs and treat us as though we are very much appreciated and valued as a customer. I can highly recommend them and look forward to working with them in the future.
Description of Work: They replaced 2 sets of faucets, and repaired several other items in the home which was the $688 cost. In addition they replaced my water heater in conjuction with a new geothermal heat pump replacement, the cost of which was included in the furnace replacement.,

 + -1 moreIt cost more than I thought it should, but they quoted ahead of time so I knew what I was getting into. I was given some options. I have used them before. I have a service contract with them. They are reliable and they come on time. They are courteous and do a good job. I have no complaints about it. They let you know what they are doing ahead of time and approximately what it is going to cost. I first contacted them when there was a special deal where they came out and did a $50.00 out-survey of the plumbing system. That started me off with them about 3 months ago. They have done fine. We have negotiated. There were some things that needed to be done that really couldn't be done during the winter months. They are going to reschedule us for the spring for getting in my crawlspace and replacing a faucet.
Description of Work: R V Hallam Plumbing put in a garbage disposal for us.

We wound up having a problem with the toilet that was installed and they were wonderful about coming out and making everything right. The person we speak to on the phone always stresses that she wants us to be satisfied and they will always work to make everything right. And they absolutely do.

 + 1 moresmelled gas. checked utility room with co detector. called gas co. they came checked , turned off the gas and said "call plumber, have him sign off, then call back for reinspect and turn back on" we called mr.plumber. after asking if we had a space heater, and were we warm, they said it might be two or three hours, and he would call half an hour before he came. in an hour or so , i got a call, this friendly, happy voice said," this is Jon, from mr.plumber. i'm on my way, should be there in less than half an hour. are you staying warm? when he arrived, he was cheerful, and friendly. he insisted on wearing shoe covers, even after we explained we were remodeling, and a little more dirt wouldn't matter. he went straight to work, found loose connections,left by another contractor.he fixed and tested them. he then told us to call the gas company inspector. he said he couldn't find any more leaks, but he would install a new shut off valve, while waiting for the inspector. he told us that he was sure he'd fixed the problem, but if the inspector should find anything else, he didn,t want us to spend the night without heat. we discussed the status of the existing water heater, and options. he left us brochures on our options. the inspector arrived certified the repairs and turned the gas back on. Jon relit the furnace and water heater, and left for the other side of town, to rescue someone else. by then it was well past midnight on the coldest night of the year up to then. when i responded on mr.plumber's rating card, i explained what a wonderful, caring professional Jon was, and that he would be our personal plumber in the future. it would be extremely difficult for them to find anyone who would represent their company any better. PS: after working almost all night, he personally called the next afternoon, to see if every thing was alright.
Description of Work: checked gas system for leaks,adjusted piping,replaced water heater shut off valve, checked and tested system again.

 + 0 moreIt took him awhile to remove the clog, which was hair, but the drain is now working flawlessly. He put booties on his feet, which I appreciated. Overall, it was an excellent experience!
Description of Work: The sink was stopped-up below the U-joint. We had tried to unclog it ourselves, but ended-up calling Mr. Plumber.

 + -1 moreLarry Metzler was at our house from 11am-4pm and despite having other jobs to go to, he treated us like we were the only customer that mattered. He was very thorough and provided detailed yet easily understandable explanations about what he was doing, why, what he recommended & why, etc. He/ this company, belongs on the Page of Happiness. He took a very stressful stiuation and made it much more bareable by taking time to explain things, being professional, friendly, and courteous. I can't say enough good things about him and this experience.
Description of Work: Removal of ceiling drywall to diagnose leakage from upstairs master bathroom shower which then leaked in to downstairs office ceiling. Also changed aerators, and provided suggestions for other areas of improvements and brought to my attention that my primary sump pump was not working properly even though it has only been installed July 2010 by another company therefore he recommended I contact that company to replace it since it should have still been under warranty.

Both the plumber who came out the day of the leak and his supervisor who came back to film were just wonderful. We are going to have them out every year to make sure this doesn?t happen again.
Description of Work: My sewer backed up and I had water everywhere. I called and they fixed it on a Saturday. Part of their deal is that they come back out within the next week and do a video of the sewer line. We found out that it was bad construction and our sewer line takes a 90 degree angle about 15 feet out.

 + -1 moreI really like the technician Brandon Johnson. He is the best plumber I have ever used. He is very thorough and knowledgeable. They have a really nice maintenance agreement. If you have a plumbing emergency than you get priority if your on the maintenance plan. They waive the fee for the service call and you get a discount on the work.
Description of Work: He has done a lot of different plumbing work for me. I have been using him for years. He has done repair work, installed new faucets.

He ran a new black metal gas pipe from my main house inlet, through my crawlspace, installed a shutoff valve through my flooring, ran it back outside, through my stone chimney and into my firebox. The job looks very professional and is exactly what I wanted. The new gas log unit functions perfectly. I will use this company again.

They will do the job correctly and if any mistakes do occur, they will stand behind their work and resolve the issue. I really appreciate this about them.  + -1 moreThe day of the appointment, a receptionist called to say that they were running late and wouldn't be at our home until 1:30pm or 2pm. This surprised me because they weren't scheduled to arrive until 4pm. I waited until 5pm, but heard nothing. I expected a follow up call, but I have yet to hear from them. I would be more understanding if I received a follow up phone call, but to hear nothing 48 hours after my scheduled appointment isn't acceptable. Once contacted by Angie's List, the owner contacted me personally and rescheduled the visit. I was fully refunded for their services. I greatly appreciate their following thru with me and I would recommend them.

There was slight drip upon testing the next morning - but they were out later that day to fix it. This is the 10th time I've hired Metzler and it's always been a good choice.

 + -1 moreCalled Monday and received Tuesday appointment for 2?4PM. Plumber would call before coming. At that time, I told the scheduler that I had to be out from 3:35-3:50, as I had to pick up a child at school. Scheduler said I'd lose appointment if I didn't pick up the phone. (I later emailed the company and complained about this policy, as I had provided that information in advance. Hallam said not to worry, as I would not lose the appointment.) I told the scheduler I had broken the sink trap pipe trying to fix a clog and needed the pipe replaced. I also said I needed a faucet in another sink worked on so it would not spin around when the handle was turned. Tuesday I received a call at 3:50 PM from plumber, saying he was in Carmel and on his way (for that 2?4 PM window?). As I had to leave at 4:30 for an appointment, I called my husband and asked him to leave work early to be at the house with the plumber. At 4:20 I thought the plumber might be lost, so I called to clarify directions to the house. He was at the plumbing supply store picking up parts for the next day's jobs. He arrived about 4:30. He did not have the parts for the pipe repair and didn't look at the other sink. He rescheduled another plumber to come Wednesday. The next plumber fixed the pipe quickly, but noticed that the sink was still clogged. He did not have a snake in the van so he did not unclog the sink. He also did not have the parts for the faucet repair. He removed the broken part and suggested that I save about $100 by taking it to the hardware store, buying another, and installing it myself. Which I did, but the faucet still spins/doesn't sit firm. He was very courteous and helpful, though.

 + -1 moreI use Metzler annually for an inspection ($99), which also saves on both labor and house call fees. The inspection turns up things that need doing, or should be done sometime. I had a kitchen tap that has needed repair for some time, plus part of the annual inspection includes draining the gas water heater (which I hadn't done for 5 yrs so I was nervous about doing myself in case it plugged up while draining). Inspection also found crack in laundry room tap and failing clamps in MBR sink. Decided to replace counter top & taps in MBR bath while we were at it. Purchased taps etc. myself, but laundry taps proved to be faulty. Plumber (Jason) included second tear out and installation of laundry room taps at no charge. Arrived promptly, did a great job, and cleaned up well. Price is a little high but I think worth the extra for their excellent work.
