I already had a water heater in my garage. I just needed it installed. I called and was told that they don't give estimates over the phone. But I could make an appointment for them to come to the house to give me an estimate. They would charge me $79 for the estimate. I thanked them and hung up the phone.

Came three hours after the call. Fix the problem in less then 30 min. Coupon for the trip charge. Thanks!

While I was reviewing plumbers for a different kind of job, I noticed that one Angie's List member mention that Metzler's Mr. Plumber had installed an Easy Water system but didn't describe how or why he had it done. We have seen ads for the Easy Water system but couldn't find any information about it. Toting the salt bags needed for our water softener has gotten harder to do over the years and we were looking for an alternative. We called the office to ask about Easy Water and were told that a salesman would be out and set up an appointment within a few days of our call. We called the day of the appointment to make sure we had the correct time and Jason Lee, the sales person, said he had an opening in his schedule and could be at our house in about half an hour. When he arrived, he put on booties, checked out our water softening system and then explained what Easy Water could and could not do. He went through the pros and cons of each system and we decided Easy Water wouldn't do what we had hoped it would. He was kind enough to write an estimate for two levels of Easy Water equipment because I wanted to pass on the information. His paperwork included a card for him to fill out about how the appointment went and one for us to send it through the mail. Jason Lee did what we always hope a company representative do, he presented information, asked questions,and answered our questions in a totally professional manner. He was personable and seemed to enjoy what he was doing.The packet he left contained coupons for other services they perform and we are filing them for the future.

Very well. Diagnosed problem quickly and was done in about 1/2 an hour.

Tim is great. He had installed it and did a great job. It was nice to have him back to flush and check it. We would use them again and would request Tim.

This was a 2-visit job. I noticed I had water coming up from the ground close to my foundation when the sump pump ran. Tim came and investigated the sump pump and backup pump and confirmed they were working fine. He then did a investigation outside and without digging, he couldn't tell me much. So he did an estimate that was a very wide range ~$500 - $3,000. Based upon what I knew and being an optimist I thought the issue was just right by the house and likely a cracked pipe. So he started and sure enough when whoever put in the air conditioner stand they drilled right through tthe PVC pipe to put the leg for the air conditioner stand and it eventually cracked causing the backup. Tim re-routed the pipe around the air conditioning unit to repair and we had hoped that was it. However upon running water through the piping there was still a blockage further down the pipe and after a little delay it would still backup. So he estimated where the pipe drained and likely it was under my patio and through several tree roots and was across my yard -- a long route. So I suggested making a straight line to the easement and lay new pipe and forgot the other as it would be more costly to scope the line to find the breakage(s), fix, re-retest, etc. It was about 1/2 the distance. He agreed. However we'd need approval from the development, city, county, etc. So I worked that which took almost two weeks. Once approved I contacted him again and we scheduled the next visit within a few days. Tim and another guy came, laid the PVC connected it to the easement, tested it, and put the soil and grass back. They did a great job -- so good it looks like nothing happened! They were prompt, professional, answered my many questions, etc. He even found where another possible blockage was in the old PVC pipe -- right next to my fence so likely they also put a stake through the pipe and it eventually broke too. And he mentioned many roots in the easement so there could be problems for all neighbors and myself in the future. Only complaint I have is the price was steep. Just figuring time on site, tools needed, difficulty of the job, and cost of piping, I feel it was an extremely high per hour charge. I do have great confidence the job was done well, and I shouldn't have problems for years, if ever. I would use Metzler's again if it was based on professionalism and promptness of service from everyone I spoke with. I am reluctant based on pricing though. Therefore, it would be a situational decision.

I was not very satisfied with the service. The product installed was not of high quality.They did try to save me money, which I didn't ask for, as the quality of the faucet installed was not up to par.

Our sewer line was backing up. Metzler's came and snaked the sewer line. That part went OK. Then they sent someone to camera the sewer line (this was part of the coupon to have the sewer line snaked). That person told me we needed the whole sewer line replaced ASAP as it would collapse any day and suggested we do so using their 'no-dig' method. The estimated price was $10,000. I told them I needed to speak with my wife and get other estimates. They called back later that same day stating that if I would agree to the job right then it would help their scheduling and they would knock $500 off the price. I said no. This person's boss then called me and left a voice-mail stressing how important and urgent this work was. We then had another company look at the problem. They ran a camera through the sewer line as far as they could, and said what they could see was in good condition, and just needed the roots cleaned out. This also revealed that when Mr. Metzler's snaked the sewer line they only went ca. 50 feet out, not the 100 feet that they said they did. This other company suggested that we needed just a new 6" clean-out. (Our old clean-out was only 3" in diameter; hence, the sewer line could never be snaked properly.) This would cost only $3000. I called Metzler's and told them we were going with another company, they said I was making a mistake. We had the 6" clean-out installed, and the sewer line was snaked properly. They then sent a camera through the entire sewer line and it was all in good condition.

Everything went fine, plumber arrived on time, checked the valved and found it OK (could have just as easily said it was crossthreaded and needed to be replaced which would have been much more expensive), replaced the hose and completed the job.

Very little work completed for the price. Be Careful! Don't make my mistake. Be sure you know what you are paying for before signing an agreement for the work.

I would CAUTION, the serviceman added that my battery cables were corroded on the working battery backup system, and they would soon fall off. Additionally, there was no replacement or repair of the wire(s) that he was allowed to do... like putting a new eye connector on the existing battery wire, soldering or screw cap wiring on another piece. INSTEAD, he told me that an all new battery back up system was required... the least expensive was $2000.00. That's right thousands of dollars to circumvent a corroded battery cable. That's right, three times the expense of a 110 volt primary sump pump system, I even showed my wife how expensive battery back ups had become. I'm sure that warranty issues prompted the replacement proposal. I refused to pay thousands more, and in his presence, I stripped the insulation from the cable wire and wrapped it around the battery post to get it working again. It is clear that Metzler's Mr. Plumber would take thousands from you or me when a simpler solution is easily imaginable. BE AWARE.

The installer did a good job or removing the old tank and installing the new one. My complaint was the warrenty and the high cost.

There's nothing to tell. The plumber came, cleared the drain and left.

My overall experience was positive, and if I have any future plumbing issues, I will definitely consider calling this business.

He did a good job. He was very efficient and friendly. I have had no problems.

everyone has been very professional and responsive to my questions. The new pump will be installed next week.

He was on time, professional and quick. The work was done relatively quickly.

They were punctual, and very professional! They did leave the debris that they pulled out of the sewer for me to clean up and I thought when a plumber came out to unclog a sewer they would clean it, but they just clear it out. The work that they suggested I do was going to be around $4700-$9800. I feel gouged; if I just cleaned it it would last 5-7 years, and with a $4700 partial replacement it would require cleaning where the roots were entering the sewer that would also only last 5-7 years. Be certain of the terms prior to use!

Mr. Plumbers tech. arrived about 1 hour ahead of schedule(he called earlier to ok) placed his equipment in the basement. He used approx. 100 ft. of cable. Several pieces of tree roots were removed. The sewer was tested for restrictions, it looked good. The tech scheduled a camera inspection. A few days later a cameraman came out and inspected. I was very surprised the sewer was clear of roots and looked very good. The inspector oked the 1 year warranty. I was very happy because I had been told a few weeks earlier that I needed a $7000.00 sewer replacement job. Thanks Mr. Plumber!

I took some time on a Sunday to try and fix a leaky outside water spigot, which should have been as easy as replacing one of the rubber washers inside the spigot. I shut off the main water valve, and went outside to do the work. Well, the house is 8 years old and the bonnet was plastic, so when I went to unscrew it it completely broke off leaving a nice ring of unremovable plastic in the end of my spigot... Basically, I was unable to remove the component to replace the washer. The best part is that when the bonnet broke, the copper end that the on/off knob screws into broke and left me with no way to turn it off again so I could turn on the main water again. I called Metzler's, and within an hour and a half someone was at my house. After 3 hours from the spigot breaking I had a new spigot and the main water was back on... keeping in mind this was on a Sunday afternoon. The service rep was very professional and efficient. I would recommend them to anyone and will definitely use them again in the future.

Very poor customer service. Made an "appointment" online on Angie's List for emergency drain cleaning service on one of my rentals. The next morning we received a voicemail at our office asking us to call them back to make an appointment. I called the main office number SEVERAL times before an answering service actually answered. The customer service person asked me ALL the same questions I'd completed in the online appointment form the night before and STILL DIDN'T MAKE THE APPT. She just forwarded my message on to the company. A representative from the company finally called and SHE asked me all the same questions again... The worst part is while I was going through the details for the THIRD time, the appointments filled up and my emergency couldn't be addressed until the next day.

The gentleman who performed the serviced showed up on time, did a good job, and answered my questions in a professional way.

The repairman made several visits as we had been receiving alarm alerts that our sump pump had failed. He examined the system and recommended that we replace the pump. His explanation of why the previous pump had failed was clear and made sense as to the reason for the problem. We got an estimate for the new pump and the labor. He came to the house promptly as scheduled, and completed the work in a reasonable amount of time. When we had questions about the back-up system and some continuing alarms (not the fault of the work he performed), he gave us his cell phone number to get in touch if there were any questions or problems. We plan to continue using this service.

Unfortunately I had to be at work. I was never called with an estimate. My elderly mother came to let them in. I greatly appreciate her help and sorry she feels so misled taken advantage of.
