 + 0 moreI called the helpdesk and they had someone out within 3 hours. the repairman was pleasant and understood that I was under a lot of concern of the basement. he walked me through what needed to be done to remedy the problem then and offered his number is anything was of concern. he repaired the problem with 20 minutes and offered suggestions on replacing it of upgrading to a battery back up. there was no pressure to buy anything at that time. I felt he understood that I under a lot of pressure and would have paid anything. NO PRESSURE SALES. I will go back every time because of that.
Description of Work: my sump pump had the main value open and had began to flood the basement.

 + -1 moreWe thought it was in need of being tightened. The plumber tightened the handle on the faucet and was ready to leave, earn my wife tried the faucet and nothing came out. So then after spending a bout two hours on it, on it, reported that we would need new faucet - and that will be $189.00. So nothing was fixed. This was the price after a "free" trip charge! In addition, the estimate to replace the faucet that we provide, would be $325.00. I went to Lowes to get a new faucet, only to find that there price for a faucet insulation is $115.00! My wife who was present during the call said the man was very professional, but I feel had. No follow up call from Mr. Plumber, and clearly they don't read these reviews, because I never heard from them.

 + -1 moreThey were able to send a service man within two days of our call. The service man was very friendly and professional. He put booties on upon entering our house. Once he diagnosed the problem with our bath faucet he gave us two options- repair or replace - with price estimates for both. We chose repair and he was able to complete the project quickly and neatly. The bill matched the estimate given. We will definitely use them again. I wish these types of repairs weren't so expensive!

 + -1 moreThey were very personable - they were professional. It seemed though, upon showing up, that he didn't necessarily know what the issue really was, or how to fix it. He didn't fix anything, he tightened up a handle somewhere else - but he was there for 2 hours and didn't really fix the issue due to fear of breaking or disrupting other parts of the sink.

 + -1 moreI purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service. We ended up having to get a different plumber to resolve our problems. Problems that Mr. Plumber said could only be fixed by buying a new pressure tank which was a great deal of money. They did a few things, but nothing that changed things. We asked him about a water pressure problem in the pressure tank and he took one look at it and told us it was too rusted and that he cold not do anything with it. We found another plumber who did the work just fine. My husband and I have concluded we won't use them any more for plumbing issues. Obviously sales was the duty of the plumber, he was pushing products and we did not appreciate it. I checked the prices he quoted me and we had gotten a lot cheaper prices. It was not a good experience. They came out the same day I purchased the deal. We felt forced and not satisfied.
Description of Work: I used Mr. Plumber by Metzler & Holm because our water softener brine tanks were sweating, which was something we had not experienced before. I don't remember the advice they gave us.

 + 0 moreWhen the estimator came out, he snaked the line and determined that it needed to be replaced entirely due to collapsed tiles. (Other providers either said they would charge for the snake service, or they said that it was unnecessary to replace the line entirely; I had already had it snaked a couple weeks prior, so I knew that didn't work.) Since my line tied into a public sewer, they handled all the permitting work on their own, and I did not need to get involved. The crew came out on time and spent all day digging up the old line and replacing it. Since it was too cold to replace the concrete sidewalk that day, they came out a few days later and finished the job. They were slightly more expensive than another provider, but they seemed much more competent, and I'm confident I got a better deal overall with them.
Description of Work: Excavated our yard and replaced a sewer line which had clogged.

I think that was a fair price. I don't remember having any problems with them doing what they said they would do when they said they would do it.

 + 0 moreI am very disappointed and frustrated that only a receptionist-type person would talk to me who didn't really understand my questions, was unable to answer them satisfactorily, and refused to put me directly in touch with anyone who could. Would not even have anyone call me back at their convenience. She said it would cost $79 for such a person to come on-site in order to answer some basic questions about what they would be able to do for me. Finally got an indication from her that they probably couldn't satisfy my need, but I'm not fully convinced she knew what she was talking about. She was courteous, but not very helpful in this situation.

 + -1 moreSteve Hotseller came out and cleared the line. He was very courteous and professional. He stated that he had been in this line of work for many years. Because we live in an area with many mature trees, we need to have our sewer line cleared once or twice a year. We called Mr Plumber because they have a "93 or free" special. We were very happy with their work. They evidently will be contacting us to come back and do a free TV camera inspection of our line.
Description of Work: Cleared our main sewer line between the house and the city sewer line. It had been running very slowly.

 + 0 moreWe had a whole house plumbing inspection completed in early June. We explained a problem we were having with significant air gurgling back up through a hallway bathroom toilet. Larry Metzler suspected a drainage issue and had us schedule a no charge camera inspection through the outside clean out valve. The sewer line from our house out to about halfway to the street had settled and did not have the proper fall/incline to drain completely out to the city sewer system. We were given a price for the work and felt it was reasonable. The crew came as scheduled. They were also good about letting us know when they left to haul debris away and approximately how soon they would be back. The work required extensive digging and removal of some bushes and sidewalk. The problem was corrected and the yard putback together. We did have one problem with an underground gutter drain not being reconnected properly, but as soon as we discovered the issue the guys came back out and fixed it. We also used their concrete provider, Metzinger Concrete to replace our entire front walk since it was in bad shape anyway and were very happy with their work as well.
Description of Work: Fixed sewer line from house to street that had settled and was not draining correctly, they have all their own employees and only required a subcontractor for the concrete work on the sidewalk.

 + -1 moreOur garbage disposal was blocked up. We called Mr. Plumber and had a very quick response. He came the next day just when he said he would be there. We had a $79 coupon for a service call, which was only usable if we hired him to do the job; otherwise, we had to pay for the service call. When I called their office I told them what I wanted done, and asked for a quote over the phone; but they said the technician had to come first to look at the job. He gave us a quote before starting to work, and although we thought $279 was very high we told him to go ahead and install a new garbage disposal. We supplied the disposal. He did a good job, cleaned up after himself, but we would not hire him again, as we feel he charged too much.

 + 1 moreThe technicians who came out to both clear the drain and do the camera inspection were on time and very professional. They came out in the time frame given and I REALLY like the 20 minute call ahead to tell me they are on the way. The guys put shoe covers on every time they came into the house and cleaned up any little item they may have left behind. They even took time to make friends with my dog so she would stop barking as they came in/out. They not only were able to clear the drain, but made some other recommendations based on the camera inspection of the line. Best of all, they weren't pushy about me scheduling the recommended services. These two guys were well trained, the work is under warranty for a year, and they left a card, so i can call them directly if I need any additional assistance. I would schedule work with them again without hesitation.

Steve provided a detailed estimate, tracked problem and fixed problem in a very reasonable time and very reasonable cost. He was very helpful by addressing a number of other questions we had and helping us understand the cause of the problem so that we can try to avoid the problem in the future. I would not hesitate to use Mr. Plumber in the future and recommend them to others.

They were very respectful of my property, cleaning up after very well, and the hole in the slab was a bit of a mess to deal with, I was pleased with how they left it. With the list of things to do, they were good to work with as far as what they did when as far as where I had the cats first day, and scheduled the activities in the various rooms to work with that. (one cat hard to convince to a certain room, so to change that after I had corralled the first day would have been a bit hairy). They kept me advised of progress and issues, and explained very well as needed.
