They were excellent and everything was perfect. I would use them again.

He was very nice, professional and pleasant. He gave me some suggestions but we didn't go with what they suggested. Somebody else was doing other work for us on the house who gave us a much better idea and we fixed the problem. He was very knowledgeable but his solution was high-end.

. Tech. showed up I showed him where I thought the obstruction might be and where the line ran from and ended in the street. At this time the tech tells me they have been there before and the 93.00 dollar price does not apply and it will be 349.00 , If they would have told me that on the phone I would not have used them, as this price gouging.This is a rental property and the tenant stayed home to be there when the line was cleaned appointment was made the day before and I had no option but to let him go ahead and clean the line which took every bit of 10 minutes. Yes they had been there before and snaked the line and we found out the problem was where the town had put in new main line in and had made a bad connection to my line from there line. Plumbing company wanted to reroute sewer line entirely and make a new tap on the city line for a fee of only 8,000.Told the salesman I would think about and called the town and got there contractor to fix the connection for 400.00.

It was just fine. Everything was done well and promptly. They were very helpful and we got a very full explanation of everything they thought was necessary and what it would cost ahead of time and explanation of why they thought the work is necessary. They gave us options for doing in different ways. I was very satisfied.

It was a good experience. They had a good reputation. I think Larry Metzler was part of the school board and pretty well-respected for that. They did a good job. I don't remember anything that wasn't right about the service. I also don't remember not having water for too long.

Very knowledgeable and professional. Pointed out a discrepant sprinkler water connection which was subsequently corrected by our landscaper. Very impressed with the service provided that we recommended this company to our daughter who in turn had them do some plumbing work and had them replaced their AC system with a new one. We also had since contacted them to replace an outdoor faucet. Very satisfied with their quality work and professionalism. We will not hesitate to recommend them to our friends and family. We will continue to call them for any plumbing and HVAC needs. Thank you!

Steve telephoned within the five minutes of the 30 minute time window promised when I made the service appointment and arrived shortly thereafter. He offered to check my water for hardness but I declined since I've already had it tested. I showed him the bathtub and he said that he might need to snake out the clog from the opening in the tub above the drain. He warned that, if the plumbing wasn't installed properly when my house was built, there was a possibility of water leaking through my laundry room's ceiling (the bathroom is above the laundry room) if I agreed to his using the snake. I decided to be happy with the whatever result he got from just cleaning the drain by hand. There is no floor drain in my laundry room. I was surprised when he asked if I had a garden hose that he could use (he had lent his to another employee). This is the only complaint that I have about the service call- why would a plumber arrive without a hose knowing before arrival that he would have to drain a water heater? I ended up having to back a car being stored for the winter out of my garage to reach the hose (stored on a shelf above my car since I wouldn't be needing it until spring). While the water heater was draining, he cleared the bathtub drain and it worked without his having to use a snake. He also gave me some tips about maintenance for my toilet while he was working on the bathtub drain. The water heater work was covered by my original service agreement from when the unit was installed. There was a fee for working on the drain and I had signed an invoice before he started work. Steve then made my day by scrapping the original invoice and filling out another one showing NO CHARGE- he said that fixing the drain was no problem. Aside from having to provide my own garden hose, this was a perfect service visit. I plan to ask for Steve the next time that I need a plumber.

We were suffering from low/no water pressure. We called Metzler/Hallam?s Mr. Plumber, and they: 1) ascertained the issue, i.e., the resin screen in our water softener had broken and resin was filling our aerators and shower heads preventing the water to flow out. We were extremely happy that we were not dealing with a broken water pipe. The plumber stated that I could remove the aerators and shower heads and remove the resin or that he could do it for $255. I hired Mr. Plumber to do the work since I had other projects and I wanted him to ensure that there were no additional problems, since he stated that the shower valves might be plugged and if they were that would be an additional $144 for each of those to be cleaned out. The plumber cleaned out all the aerators in the sinks, the washing machine and toilets and drained the resin from our water heater. I specifically asked if the showers checked out ok since I had not seen him take them apart and he said ?yes?. We gladly paid and thought we had gotten by cheaply. Later that day none of our showers worked. It was obvious that he took none of them apart. I took the heads apart and cleared them out ? a simple task that took me 5 minutes each - but a task that I had paid Metzler/Hallam?s Mr. Plumber to perform and they had not done it. Furthermore, the first time we used the washing machine we had water spurting all over the laundry room and cascading down into our basement because when the plumber had cleared the aerator on the washing machine he had failed to place the drainage hose back into the drainage pipe. Finally, to add insult to injury, I have tried on a daily basis since this happened to talk to a manager to complain about the service. While I get customer service representatives on the line that say things like ?we are sooo sorry?, ?we understand your frustration?, ?that is not the way we do business?, they refuse to call a manager to the phone and only promise to have someone from their quality assurance department get back to us . . . and they never do. I did business with Mr. Hallam and was always pleased with his work but the new company that owns this business - Defender Direct - apparently could care less about customer satisfaction.

They do everything. They did sewer work for us. They pull in the new line from the outside. They did a good job and in fact they are coming back in the spring to re-seed the yard they dug up. I would recommend them because they were really good.

They were good, I like them. They came out and gave us an estimate and they wave the net charge. They were able to fix the leak in a timely fashion and not ruin any of our landscaping which was nice because He had to dig by hand outside of our house down like 5 ft. He have also put some cement inside of the house and we have been leak free ever since. We signup to their service plan where they gave us a discount on the repair that actually paid for the service plan and it includes that they look at our furnace and they did a planning inception each year which was cool. They're really nice people and their estimate was a lot less than our normal plumber that's why we went with them.

We had a pipe break and therefore our water was shut off. We contacted this company and scheduled a call for the next day but we were told someone had to be available 20 to 30 minutes from the time we were called that a plumber was on his way. I rescheduled patients to stay home for the day. I called in the morning to ensure that we were on the schedule. The staff member stated that we were, but it may be after hours. I was not exactly pleased because I could have gone to work and not inconvenienced patients, but I was happy that a plumber would be here to repair the pipe and restore our water. Other contactors arrived late in the afternoon to assess the clean-up of drywall, carpet . . . so I called this company again and was told that it may be late (even midnight) but a plumber would be there sometime in the evening. We cancelled all plans for the night and waited. At 9 pm, we called back and the answering service stated that they were not taking any more plumbing calls. I explained that we were on the schedule for that day and this was not to schedule a new call. The answering service stated that they would email the company. After 30 minutes, we called back and the answering service staff stated that all she could do is email - she had no clue if anyone checked emails after hours. Next morning, a cheery lady called and asked if we "got service." I told her the story and she wanted to know how she could help and did we want to reschedule. No thank you - we will find another plumber and let the housing person who recommended this company know of our experience. Our patients, my time and income were all affected because this company promised something that was not possible - they overbooked and told us on 3 occasions that a plumber would be out. This is an unorganized and unprofessional company. I called another plumber that gave me a two hour window and is supposed to arrive today. He returned my call on a Friday night at 10 pm when he still had two more appointments that night because of the weather - I'm confident that he will arrive today. Update: Our pipe was repaired by another local company the next day without any issues - we were happy to have our water restored! I left a message for Tina Festa two days ago without a return phone call. The customer service staff answering the phone has no plumbing knowledge or ability to help with scheduling issues - they just leave messages for their supervisor, Tina. Unfortunately, Tina is NEVER available and does not return calls. I understand the business philosophy of "schedule as many people as possible and volume will be high enough that those customers who are promised service but don't get it are expendable." There are other big corporations who rely on volume rather than good service - bad philosophy in Indianapolis. While on the phone, I heard other customer service staff talking with customers in the background who were also explaining the need to reschedule missed appointments and stating their "supervisor" wasn't available. I'm glad that my career involves meeting many new people daily who are concerned with the businesses operating in Indiana. This company is not the type business we value in Indianapolis.

Brandon arrived around 6:30 and was extremely pleasant and professional. After I told him about the issue, he described in detail what he was going to do, what he may need assistance with and the different cost scenarios. He was quick and efficient and made sure we were satisfied with the job before he left. He is a great representation of the company and we will definitely call again for any of our plumbing needs.

I was happy for the Plumber to respnd and charge me hundreds less than the Citezens utilizes were going to charge me! I would use their services in the future should any need arise in the future.

They were to pull toilets in 1 bathroom, replace flange w/new pvc flange. Repiped drains for toilet, sink and tub, possibly kitchen sink, but she did not hear them working in crawl space under sink of her mid-1960's built home. They were to dig outside, cut a section of main line out to install pvc outside, but the iron pipe was still in good shape, so this part of the proposal was not done. they gave a 5 year warranty, were to cable the main line after install, camera main line after install. Adult daughter from Maine is visiting, was witnessing all this activity and estimates. No evidence the camera or cable was done. Invoiced $3873.00 She was pressured to pay immediately. 2nd invoice 12-20/13 for $5150.00 involved digging from the house to the edge of driveway, camera the sewer under driveway. they said the pvc pipe needed to be replaced, so the would Install pvc 4' in the yard, gravel base. Work to be inspected by city. Run sup pump discharge, and back fill. The 2 ladies conferred, and had this portion of the work put on hold. She remembered replacing the pvc pipe in the yard 5 years ago. Powers Septic & Sewer Service was then called in, noticed the pvc they put in 5 years ago was in good shape, and charged $450 for cleaning drain, doing the discharge, and gravel base.

We use Mr. Plumber (formerly Hallam) for all of our plumbing work, and they always do a great job. Needed to have the water heater cleaned out (hadn't done it in the 7 years we've owned the house), so bought a "Big Deal" on AL for $50. The price was reasonable for the work, but I was more impressed by the whole house plumbing inspection that was included. It was much more thorough than I had anticipated. The plumber walked me through a list of potential issues and gave me quotes for those things that I was interested in possibly having done. It was no pressure. I took the list and said that I would like to discuss it with my husband, and that was that. We will likely have them do 2 of the items on the list, we'll do one ourselves, and for the other 3 things that they found we'll wait until an issue pops up. The one thing that I would change about the service is the call center (or whomever it was that I spoke with) to make the appointment. Before looking for a Big Deal on AL, I contacted Mr. Plumber directly to see how much the water heater flush would cost. (I receive lots of ads/coupons from other vendors for this service, so I assumed Mr. Plumber would have a set price.) The appointment setter indicated that I would have to pay the $79 service call fee and then the cost of the flush as well (which they could not tell me what that would be). It was clear in talking to them that they had no idea what I was talking about when I asked for a water heater flush. The information about pricing that they gave me was wrong (per the plumber). Glad I found the deal on AL!

We had a bunch of people come out to estimate the cost and they weren’t the cheapest. This job involved trenching out the whole front yard like about eight feet down and replacing all our clay pipes with PVC pipes and they were able to go into the basement without digging up our whole front yard which was awesome because our front yard was obviously landscaped. That saved up pretty much the whole front yard except the very end but they did a really good job. They were really fast and they were really nice. We have a twenty-year warranty on it and it works great now. It was really expensive but comparatively that is how this job is.

There was no further leakage during the night nor while he was here, which seemed to confirm his diagnosis of the relief valve. Larry gave some other suggestions as to what to do if we leave the house for an extended period and convinced me to enroll in the 3 year maintenance agreement, which covered today's costs and provides future benefits. After discovering the water during the night, I called the answering service. Mr. Plumber called at 8 a.m. and Larry arrived a short time after 9 a.m. He probably was here for almost 2 hours. I thought I was calling Hallam Plumbing, inasmuch as they installed the water heater in 2010. Larry Metzler explained that Mr. Plumber/Williams Comfort Air now owns Hallam and Metzler Plumbing.

Everything went great!!! They provided a 60 day warranty for the drain cleaning, which I never needed to use because it's been almost a year, and there have been no more problems. Sadly, it taken me almost a year to write this review, but I do remember the tech was punctual, friendly and knowledgeable. I also made an appointment for a plumbing check up and was given prices for installing a vent, garbage disposal and redoing the plumbing under my kitchen sink. I thought the prices I received were reasonable for the work involved and will likely be getting some of the work done in the upcoming year.

Brandon was very professional and had good attention to detail. He was polite. He engaged my children in a friendly manner. He was conscientious and cleaned up.

I called Mr. Plumber on 12/23 mid-afternoon to place a service call for a flooded basement. I was assured service that afternoon. A t 9:35 PM I received a call from the serviceman as was told he would be there in 20-30 Minutes. I told him to forget t for the evening that I was sure he was tired from such a long day. It was going to 10:00 PM before he even ot started. I also told him I would like service first thing the next morning. He told me to call the office first thing in the morning. I did and explained that what had happened. I asked for someone that morning. I was told someone would be there sometime that day and to expect a call 20-30 minutes before. I repeated the request for a morning service call and then I gave them another number to call and left town for Christmas with the grandchildren. I did call the other person around 2:30 that afternoon and she told me no had contacted her. So I called Mr. Plumber again. I got their answering service and explained the situation. The person said she would contact someone and they would get back to me. Well they did. At 8:00 the next mornin g. Christmas day. I was asked if I had gotten taken care of. I told her NO! I explained this was the third day and I was not pleased. She then started talking about payment and the service call charge. I told her I had been told that 2 days ago and I hadn't seen any service yet to pay for. Of course she knew no one had come out. She asked if I still wanted someone and I told her yes the first thing the next morning. I didn't want anyone to have to come out on Christmas day and figured the damage was done anyway. She told me she could get someone out after 4:00 PM the next day. I told her to forget it. I place a service call on Monday and am now told I have to wait until late afternoon(or if at all) on Thursday. So after being completely ignored one day after I thought I was giving the guy a break. I had just had it. No way will I ever use these companies again.

Service representative arrived and said the hot water heater was old and needed replacing. He mentioned there was no charge. We appreciate his honesty.

Our garbage disposal was leaking under the sink. Jon (who is absolutely awesome!) found it right away and told us we had a hole in our disposal. he recommended 2 types and we picked one. He replaced it. While he was there he also looked at our shower and increased the flow of water at no charge. Jon is the best and always has a recommendation with pros/cons for each choice. He makes it easy. We signed a contract with Mr. Plumber because they are so good at what they do.

Everything went well. Their price was high, but they arrived on time, did the work as promised, and cleaned up after themselves. The technicians were friendly and professional as well.

The technician, Garrett, came out to my home and was very friendly. He did end up clearing my drain, but when I got the bill, I was charged $349.00. When I asked why, I was told that I was being charged more because it took more time and because the drain was on a cistern instead of a main drain. When Garrett started the work, we were not made aware of either of these stipulations or of the price increase. I have called them a couple of times since we received the bill, but I can’t seem to get any help. I'm disappointed that they advertised one thing and charged me something completely different.

No wonder they won't tell you prices on the phone! Completely outrageous and I wasted $79 on a service call where they did nothing. Horrible do not use!!
