Hope Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling

Jonathan arrived on time and made an inspection of the sump pump. It was working but not very well. We discussed various options and possibilities as well as costs. I decided to purchase a new system including the battery powered back-up. He had to go back to the shop to pick up the system and came back in 30 minutes and installed the new system. He was very professional and courteous during the entire time. He explained everything he was doing in detail and was neat and clean about the entire installation. It was also recommended that due to all the moisture in the area recently it would be a good idea to have the septic tank pumped out. He even recommended a company to call for the service. I am extremely pleased with the service I have received both this time and in previous service calls from Hope Plumbing and will continue to call them for plumbing service.

I was very pleased with their visit. The service provider was very polite, he was on time taking care of the service and I was happy about it.

I was a little bit disappointed. I thought the big deal was keeping more than what it did and I ended up spending more money. I was not very impressed with the service either. I was not informed about what the big deal covered. I thought that I understood before they came and then it was not what they did for that much. I spent more than the big deal which is $39.

The service turned out fine. They were good, prompt, and they came out and installed a unit. It wasn't a big enough unit for our house, and so we had to get another, but they could have recommended a bigger one, which would have been appropriate. They came out and installed it and did a good job with that.

I called Hope Plumbing to come out initially for an estimate, and to provide advice on what faucets to order. Roger came out and was incredibly helpful in making the correct decisions. In the case of the shower trim replacement, he advised that I call the vendor of my current shower trim to get their advice on which trim package would work. I am glad I did that, because I would have bought the wrong items. After getting the estimate from Roger, I scheduled him to come out a couple of weeks later. This was definitely an all-day job. Roger showed up on-time and did an excellent job (even though my kids were hovering around him half the time). He went out of his way to explain operation and functionality to me and completed the entire job in one day. When I had a follow-up question for him, he called me back very promptly and answered all of my questions. I would definitely recommend Hope Plumbing to anyone who wants the job done right.

My experience went very well. The staff is professional and knowledgeable in their field. We have used this company for several years now and have been pleased with their services I would recommend this company to others.

It went fine. They showed up on time. They got rid of the old water heater for me. They cleaned up afterwards. I would recommend them to others. I had to pay more because it was gas. I would use them again.

I'm happy with them. They were good. The work was adequate and he knew what he was doing, but I felt like he was kind of winging it a little bit. The responsiveness, professionalism, the knowledge, and price were all good. He is a qualified plumber that other people should consider hiring. I would use him in the future, but I would choose my plumbing. We have all funny plumbing and it's like I don't have confidence that he's going to do the advance get-it-right an old house plumbing. It's simple plumbing that I will call him for.

When first contacted, they said they couldn't come until the next day. A few minutes later, they called back and said someone had just rescheduled and they could be at the house in ten minutes. Sure enough, they were there almost instantly. They had the proper replacement part in the truck and the job was done in an hour.

My sump pump was failing, and with more rain on the way, I was concerned. Brad was very understanding and said they could help me. He arranged for Casey to come check the sump pump just a couple of hours after my call. Casey did a great job, identified the problem, replaced the sump pump, tested it, and explained all the work to me. He also honored the Angie's List Deals price for the new sump pump. I'm very happy with the work, and will contact Hope Plumbing again for any future plumbing needs.

The issue was that I have a smell in my house. I've tried a lot of different people to try and get rid of the issue; plumbers, foundation people, air quality people, so lots of different people. The suggestions that the guy made were really good general suggestions because I wasn't doing the stuff he suggested. So that was awesome. He was very good and very nice. It seemed like he was very knowledgeable but the problem wasn't solved. That wasn't his fault, it might not be a plumbing issue. There were no additional charges beyond the big deal amount.

Home inspector had missed all but leak in toilet and pending leak in shower/tub drain. Hope helped me find other issues, and they were really necessary, i.e., they weren't just running up the bill. Two other plumbing companies who gave me estimates saw same things - and some others that were not needed. The whole experience was great - from scheduling, to patient questions asked and answered over the phone, to the actual work being done. The men who came to do the work explained what and why they were doing, were helpful, efficient, and knowledgeable. The price was a little scary, but not undeserved. This was a big job! As for the other two companies - one left a partial quote and never gave me the rest even though I called and asked for it; the other was the one that wanted to do unnecessary things (for instance, tear down a drywall bulkhead to see if a pipe was supported when I could look in the end of it to see that it was.) Hope lived up to it's name!

The men who came to our house, Tony and Robert, deserve an A across the board. They were very professional. When it was time for them to leave, they asked me to pay the $80 estimate fee, which took me by surprise. I was not informed about any fee when scheduling the appointment, nor is the estimate fee mentioned on their Angie's List page. When I told the men this, they were very kind and told me not to worry about the fee. This morning, I received a call from Christina in the office. She insisted she had told me about the fee and was quite rude about the whole situation, eventually hanging up on me. We were going to give them our business until this call happened. I was shaken, so I double checked Angie's List and my notes from her call - no fee is mentioned.

Responded immediately and came the next day. Installed new pump and check valve quickly and efficiently. Would definitely recommend and hire again.

They broke a pipe. There is water damage in the wall, cabinets, and flooring. My neighbor below also has damage. The amount of damage I have incurred is around $7500, and a lot more extensive damage to my neighbor below. The owner was polite but he said he didn?t think they were at fault. He said the plumbing line had issues before. My neighbor is an engineer specializing in building systems such as plumbing, and he said there was no leaking until after the plumber was done with his job. I requested the plumber?s insurance information to make a claim, but he refused to provide that because he didn?t think he was at fault. I asked to let the insurance companies work it out, but he still refused to provide it. Update as of 5/12/14: I was able to locate the insurance company information after Hope Plumbing continued to resist to provide it MAJOR RED FLAG. The insurance has taken care of the situation THEY SIDED ON BEHALF OF ME AND MY NEIGHBOR PAYING US IN FULL FOR BOTH CLAIMS APPROXIMATELY $15,000.

Work went well. No problems. Nice, courteous plumber who showed up on time.

I contacted Hope Plumbing and arranged a date and time for service. The phone service was always prompt and courteous. On the morning of the service, the plumber called and asked if he could be about an hour late, as there had been a problem. I agreed, and Tim showed up as agreed. Tim did an excellent job. He performed the work efficiently, seemed knowledgeable, was courteous and the job site was clean afterward. I "Hope" to use them in them future as the need arises. I would recommend them without reservation.

It was a cracked pipe rather than a cracked drain pan (much less expensive1). We were pleased with their service and have hired them again, to replace 3 old toilets with ADA certified ones this month.

I was fortunate to be home from work when a pipe burst directly over my kitchen/breakfast room at 6:30 PM. Water poured into the area, quickly flooding the floor of both areas and then spreading into the main hallway and den. Though I found the shut-off valve, it was too stiff for me to completely shut off the water. I tried to call out, buy my cell phone wouldn't work (unrelated problem, but what a terrible time for it to stop working). Couldn't use internet, because the downpour happened directly above my cable internet modem and wireless router, drowning both. By now I was drenched from water cascading down on me through multiple channels, and I was at a loss of where to turn for help. So I ran next door to fetch my ever-helpful neighbor. He came to my rescue, bringing a cell phone and mini-wireless router for me to be able to communicate with the outside world. Kurt managed to get the water shut off, then climbed up the attic stairs to locate the problem: a broken pipe connector. He called Hope Plumbing at about 7 PM, who put me on their emergency list. At 10:30, two jolly Hope plumbers arrived, full of smiles and friendliness. They got immediately to work and one hour later I had water restored. They installed a 2-feet length of pipe and new connector and explained that in this horrible weather we've been having, the freeze-thaw cycle on pipes and connectors can eventually lead to fractures and splits. That's what happened to the connector, and when it failed, the two pipes it was joining found freedom! No more being forced to be next to each other in my attic! Too bad for the pipes, though. They got cut out and tossed in the trash, along with the useless connector. This is my second Hope Plumbing visit in the past year, and they will forever be my Favorite Plumbing Company of the World.

It was positive. I had a good experience. I remember vaguely that the man who came and did the work was very friendly and professional. Setting up the appointment I think was very easy, they were great about that. He was very punctual. He just came and installed it and explained it to me and I didn't have anything beyond that.

It went quite well! I was off on MLK day and went downstairs to the basement to get something out of the fridge when I noticed water all over the floor in the area of the water heater. I ran to get towels and to see where the water was coming from. One of our other water heaters had water leaking out the bottom so that is where I looked first. Well, this time the water was coming out of the top and pressing its way up through the water intake and outtake lines and flowing down the side of the tank. After I turned the water and electricity off, I was able to get on Angie's List and start calling A rated plumbers. Hope was my second call and could come out and take a look at my water heater. This was at 1pm. Before actually replacing the heater, the plumber actually took ours apart just to make sure it wasn't repairable. Our last water heater cost $1000 to install 6 years ago, so we we were a little surprised at the price. We paid the price because we had a new working water heater in a matter of hours (with subzero temps that was a plus) and it was a different brand (Rheem) than what we had before so maybe it will last longer! Hope plumbing was courteous and very efficient. They also did a nice clean up job and some of the mess was there when they came!

Won't ever use this company after talking to Brad, "the" owner. What a hoot he gave me and my friends. I had him on speaker, and he was super out there. No customer service and the lady that answered the phone was pretty rude also. Won't even waste anymore time reviewing on this lousy company- besides just saying that I fully intended on using them, until I realized what brains were operating this company. Being an owner and being a respectful owner are two totally different concepts. Good for a laugh, but not good if you actually want work done. Yep, you probably want to look elsewhere :)
