Hope Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling

Charlie came and cleaned out our main water line. He had to saw off the pipe and snake it. Roots had taken over. I was very impressed with his punctuality, and his knowledge of everything that went wrong with my pipes. I felt confident that he knew what he was doing and he also gave me tips to prevent it from happening again.

Charlie came out and checked the upstairs bath that seemed to be leaking through to the downstairs ceiling. He figured out that it wasn't the plumbing but rather water leaking through the old tile shower. He didn't charge me for the visit which was very helpful.

It went so well. My husband had noticed that the ground by the house (which happened to be by the sewer line) was sunk in. He dug in that spot and found that the sewer line pipe was broken. We had no other problems (thankfully) before this. We have used Hope Plumbing before. They had come out on a Saturday earlier this year to help me with a sump pump problem when my husband was away on business and helped us with several other issues in the past. The office people were so nice and went to work on getting someone to help us immediately. They were booked today and they helped us out. If not, we would not have been able to use the plumbing all weekend. I have hardly ever written a review the same day a service is performed but I cannot stress how much they helped us in our time of need. This isn't the first time either. We had our water heater start gushing water one day and they had to come out and get us a new one. They are all so very nice and professional. Accommodating us today was above and beyond what I could have expected from them. Great service and wonderful people!!! Thank you so much Hope Plumbing!!!

Plumbers were professional and willing to discuss all options. They were very knowledgeable about how to upgrade the plumbing in our older home. The work was well done and they fixed our problem and even improved things beyond our expectations. I will definitely use them again.

The plumber explained the problem and gave us an estimate for replacing the pump. He was very friendly and professional.

I called with a leak on a friday at 4:30 and had a service person within about an hour.

Did not finish the job. I had to run to store after they left to get an adapter for the gas line to actually connect to the dryer. They also spent a lot of time (came up about 3 different times between the quote and the actual job being completed) talking about a water heater that we never once mentioned anything about. Other than those issues they did an okay job at a fair price.

So because the pipes were "old and brittle", he couldn't install a new spigot without replacing more sections of pipe. To replace that section of pipe would be $700. or $4200. for the entire basement. I decided to get another plumber to check it out and he replaced it without removing other sections of pipes. Since I purchased the $99. promotion from your company for $200. worth of plumbing, and I know that the labor to remove just an outside spigot was not $200., I feel that I should receive a refund.

I bought the coupon and was contacted to set up an appt in a day or 2. They came on the set day and installed the new faucet. They were running late, but let me know, so that wasn't a problem. The work was done well.

Very knowledgeable, professional plumber. Got the job done quickly, and well. Fixed disposal too, no extra charge (small problem another company wanted us to pay 200 just to come out and look at). This is not the first time I've used Hope and it won't be the last. They were great.

Not sure what happened, but our first appointment didn't get on their calendar. On time for this appointment and everything done well.

We bought the $200 worth of plumbing work for $100 - I do not recommend this deal or Hope Plumbing. Upon scheduling the service, I requested their hourly rate. She would not give out the rate and mentioned that the job is bid upon the service call. She also informed me that Hope charges a $69 service call which is waived if I decide to proceed with the work. Feeling uncomfortable at this point, I contacted Angie's List for advice. No advice was provided - only an offer to refund the deal. Looking up plumbing rates on Google, I found that $65 per hour was a generous rate for plumbing services, so I expected at least 3 hours of labor. The job of replacing the ice maker water line and a faucet in the bathroom seemed fairly easy. I purchased the materials at Home Depot and had them ready for the job. Upon arrival, Hope quoted the job at $265 without replacing the ice maker line valve (just replacing the line). It was hard to believe that it would take that long for these relatively easy jobs, but we proceeded, not feeling that we had much of a choice. Hope had the ice maker line and the faucet replaced in less than two hours. Hope left the house with the faucet documentation and the remaining ice maker line parts (the valve and fittings not used) - these were parts that I purchased myself. Strangely enough, Hope left the old ice maker line lying on the basement floor. We will not purchase this type of deal again from Angie's List or use Hope Plumbing in the future. At the same time that I purchased the Hope deal, I purchased an outdoor faucet replacement from Efficient Systems. I was very happy with this deal and the work performed.

I never scheduled - no work done

Charlie, a highly experienced plumber with Hope Plumbing, arrived earlier this afternoon to investigate the problems my husband and I have had with our kitchen sink repeatedly failing to drain properly, if at all. After a brief consultation, he agreed with us that the best course of action would be to divert the outflow into the primary sewer line. He then left and quickly returned with a capable assistant named Dylan. They completed the entire job in less than an hour, which surprised my husband somewhat, because I had asked them to send a camera snake through the pipes towards the sewer in order to check for any further obstructions, in addition to the actual kitchen sink job. The camera snake indeed detected a rather serious obstruction in the line leading to the sewer, which requires that we dig up and replace the pipes. However, this no longer concerns us as much as it would have had we failed to contact Hope Plumbing. Charlie stated that he now has nineteen years of experience as a plumber, which is impressive, because he is still quite young. His assistant, Dylan, has but recently begun his own tenure at Hope as a Plumber's Helper, or so my husband gathered, but he worked hard and appeared eager to learn. Charlie was quite informative, and answered dozens of my husband's questions regarding vocational training for plumbers, in addition to providing recommendations on how to best care for our existing plumbing. Both Charlie and Dylan were courteous, professional, efficient, and very hard-working. As a result of this experience, my husband and I are again considering Hope Plumbing for the considerably more complicated job of replacing our existing sewer lines with more durable PVC pipes.

Very well. Jonathon and Scott were on time, even calling ahead to say they were on their way which I appreciated. When they arrived, they looked at the job, advised me on the selection of the main faucet as I had questions and concerns, calculated an estimate using 2 different faucets I was considering, using the $99 Angie's coupon special I had purchased. they then had to go to the warehouse to get the faucet I had chosen, returned and within an hour had all the work finished. I called them back after I tried the faucet to reset it to a better position. They were very gracious to return to fix it the way I wanted it. I loved that the price was based on the job, not the hours, cause the total time they worked on my job took over 2 1/2 hours. Jonathon and Scott were pleasant, professional and fun to be around. I would recommend the two of them, and Hope Pluming. Will call them again for other;plumbing issues. I love my new faucet. Each time I use it, I'm so pleased with how it works and how it looks. Great job!

He did clear the clog for which we had a coupon. I don't remember the exact amount to fix the outdoor faucet but it was around $300. which seemed way out of line. I had an outdoor faucet replaced last year but if it cost $300. I would have REMEMBERED it! He thought the garbage disposal had an electrical problem which I doubt. But maybe a garbage disposal problem is not a plumbing issue.

Everything was fine. They came out in a very reasonable amount of time. They did what I had asked them to do and they took care of the problem. Their customer service is fine.

All drains have been working properly since repair. The plumber was very informative. They allowed me to purchase the coupon to use after the work was completed and I had a better estimate of the cost. Will definately use them again.

Hose spigot was dripping. Since it was an original (1929) fixture there was doubt as to whether or not parts could be found. Decided to go with a new spigot and include a shut off valve. Scott arrived on time and spent 2 1/2 hours replacing it. No more drips.

They went "above and beyond" including returning to the house and working with city utility on location of curb stop after utility had provided some contradictory information. They are very customer focused and ensured that all my questions/concerns were addressed. I highly recommend Hope Plumbing and will use them again.

Hope was prompt in contacting me to set up the service for my first choice of dates and time. Service was purchased thru an Angie List Special Offer. Service was completed in a prompt and professional manner. Technician cleaned up under the sink and even reinforced the connection between the dishwasher and the disposal unit. We have used Hope Plumbing services on previous occasions and will continue to use them for all plumbing needs
