Hope Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling

Not only did Evan install the faucet, but he recommended some safety features that could be added to our old plumbing system. He gave us an estimate for three different scenarios: just the faucet installation, the faucet plus both of his recommendations and the faucet with just one of the recommendations. We chose to go with the faucet plus the one recommendation we felt was most urgent.

Plumber guessed exactly what the issue was before he began cutting into the wall. He completed the repair same day. We had to get the wall patched painted and repaired later on our own, which we expected. Very good service. But a very high bill. It was nearly $1300 for one day of work by one plumber. There were only about $25 in parts, so it came out to $200 an hour for labor. We used Hope in the past. They have gotten much more expensive.

Excellent. Very professional and responsive. Good guys. We had a slight problem with one of the devices, but they rectified it quickly. No issues.

I had several experiences, all good. I don't know what they could have done to improve,but I don't give anybody an A.

Great! They did an excellent job getting the old water heater disconnected and the new one installed where we wanted it. It saved a TON of floor space in our basement and gets rid of my fear that the tanked version was about to fail. There was a small installation error that we noticed the day after it was put in--nothing major--and they came right out and fixed it! It's working perfectly.

The project did not go well. Hope Plumbing did replace the well pressure tank and the pressure switch, but the result was not satisfactory. The pressure switch was put in a location that caused a water hammer (banging in the pipes). In addition, the two Hope Plumbing employees left a mess in the basement from removal of the old pressure tank and drained the old pressure tank into the sump pit, which left debris (black rubber/foam insulation) in the pit which I had to clean out. Also, the tech/plumber had misplaced some of his tools on a previous job and had to borrow tools from me to complete the job for us. A few weeks later we had another plumber out and he corrected the sub par work done by Hope Plumbing. I did call Hope Plumbing 3 times with questions about if the work they did was warranted. Twice I left messages with no call back and once I did speak with someone who said they would talk to their supervisor and call me back. They never called back. The last reason for this negative review is Hope Plumbing's price. I showed the receipt for work done by Hope to the plumber who corrected the work, and he informed me that their price would have been 40% lower, leading me to believe that Hope Plumbing's prices are quite high. In full disclosure, the company that corrected the work was a well specialist, not a general plumber.

Tech was scheduled to arrive between 8:00 am and 12:00 PM. Received call that he was running late. Received call at 3:20 PM that he was not going to be able to show. Very poor way to run a business. I took off a whole day from work to get this minor plumbing repair completed. Run far away from Hope Plumbing - go to a company that guarantees on time service.

Great. I was pleased with the results of both projects. My plumber was extremely professional and tidy and did the work in a very timely manner.

Took a few days to repair, but the guys were dedicated and hard working and fantastic! Hope management fully supported them working though every aspect of the job.

This was the third plumbing company contacted to do this job and the forth plumber that looked at it. They did the job, did it timely and didn't dig up my whole yard as the first company suggested (for $300 more than Hope charged me). So very satisfied.

Evan did an excellent job. He was very patient working around the clutter in our basement. He as very tidy and efficient. He gave me several options and the cost of each before proceeding and he consulted me when he had options to run the line in certain areas and where to put inside shut off valves. I'm very pleased with his work.

Thomas did the work which included having to remove part of my closet structure in order to get to the wall behind the shower. He fixed it and made an access panel to the valve in case we ever need to go into it again.

I have older home 60+ years. Not terribly surprised when installing new toilet, other issues came up. Service person explained, showed me exactly what was wrong, and gave me estimate on the spot of what it would cost to fix it. I accepted, job was completed, and I am very satisfied with service and professionalism of entire company.

They gave me options, showed up on time, and were very professional.

Hope responded like a champ! They took responsibility, fixed the problem and took charge of the cleanup. The resolution was as quick and as painless as I could have asked for at a time when I'm certain they were very busy. People are human so I don't get too bent out of shape about mistakes - I make them too. Its how you respond that sets you apart from the crowd and Hope responded like the pros they are!

This is the third time that we have used Hope Plumbing. The schedulers and the technicians have all been very nice people. However, I do not plan on using them again for the following reasons: - The first service call was to install a new faucet in a bath. The technician chipped the countertop during the installation. Yes they did make an attempt to repair it, but the repaired area is very obvious. - The second service call was to install an outside faucet. They had to cut a hole in the basement ceiling to do the installation, which was fine. However, the technician splatter flux all over the basement wall and made no attempt to clean up until we called to complain. - The latest service call was to install a new sump. The technician did not reconnect the discharge line from the water softener when he finished the sump pump installation so we had a wet basement floor the next morning. When I called them to ask them to come back to fix the problem, I asked that they also install another check valve on the back-up sump. I called on Monday to make the appointment for first call on Friday. I received a call around 9:30 on Friday saying that they would not arrive until afternoon because of problems they had on Thursday. Since I had to take time off from work to coordinate the repair it would have been nice if they would have notified us on Thursday when they knew they would not be able to keep the appointment. The last straw was when the technician arrived without any supplies and had to go pick up a check valve even though I had specifically noted that was going to be needed.

The plumber made a quick walk through, barely looked under the house, but charged $100 for an inspection. He identified three needed repairs, did two of them in a few minutes and charged for all three ($200) for a total of $300. The invoice did not mention an inspection, which was the main thing I needed for the home buyer.

I'm a big fan of relying on reviews when finding a service provider as I find them to be pretty accurate. I was hesitant to schedule an appointment with Hope mainly due to the recent reviews regarding the reliability of technicians showing up as scheduled but I thought I'd give them a shot anyway. Since the work I needed done wasn't necessarily an emergency, I called on Thurs, 4/13 and scheduled an appt for Monday, 4/17. I rearranged my schedule to be available from 1 - 5 pm. At 2 pm, a voice mail was left stating the previous job was taking longer than expected but someone would be out that day. At 3 pm, I received an email stating that the technician would be there within the hour. 5 pm rolled around and no technician showed up. Since no one called to update me, I called the office at 5:30 pm; however, no one answered the phone. Around 6 pm a technician called and said he saw I was scheduled for service that day but since it was after 5 pm, he would have to charge me an emergency fee if I still wanted someone out that evening. The alternative would be to reschedule in the morning. My response was " You're going to charge me an emergency fee because your technician couldn't get out within a 4 hour window?!? The technician was instructed that any service calls after 5 pm were considered an emergency and charged accordingly. I said "No thank you and I'd call in the morning". The next morning I received a voice mail from Matthew stating he'd noticed work hadn't yet been done and that he'd put me down for someone to come out between 1 and 5 pm. I called him back and said no thanks. Although Matthew stated that he'd have a talk with the tech, I have a feeling the tech only told me what he was instructed to say. I didn't appreciate the lack of follow up from them or the response that I'd be charged an emergency fee!! Be wary of using this company unless you don't mind sitting around all day for no one to show up and have an abundance of money to throw away. Are there no good, reliable plumbers out there anymore??

There were multiple issues including the following. 1. My appointment scheduled for March 30th got rescheduled by the office to the following day. rescheduling of the appointment required me to stay home from work an additional day, 2 days total. 2. Service technician at my home on March 31st worked total of 2 hours snaking drain pipe. He was not able to clear the line by snaking. I was charged $196 for his inability to unclog line. 3. Technician advised us to give 'them' a call to have somebody come out for jetting of the line, which would cost an additional $700.00 4. Camera inspection "special" (that was to be included) was not performed at all. There was NO followup from HOPE office at all about performing camera inspection NOR any attempt to inform me the status of camera inspection. Except for a 'review of service email' Which, we filled out, but still no responce. 5. Dissatisfied with the experience received by HOPE, I decided to select a different plumbing & drain service to clear the line. The technician successfully cleared line by snaking for 90 minutes. I am greatly disappointed in HOPE ability to perform the service in a fair, professional manner at reasonable, competitive cost. Your charging us nearly $200 to perform work late (i.e. full day later than scheduled), not clear line, and conduct no followup to perform camera inspection seems unfair and unreasonable. A response and action to appropriately address my concerns and overall poor experience would be appreciated.

It's been good experiences with this provider. The price was a lot. Their price is competitive.

It didn't. Not even two hours into my four hour window they called to say they couldn't make it today. They have no one available to look at the work and provide an estimate.

Very well. they did have to get the part, but did it quicklyand had it fixed immediately upon return.
