We obtained three different quotes before choosing Granite by Design to do our work. Dave Esslinger was a great person to work with. He came to our house, measured everything and gave us a very thorough quote. We chose him based on the lowest price and the fact that we saw the work he did in our neighbor's house. He was extremely prompt when getting back with us. He met us at the granite supplier and helped us pick out our slab. We picked an installation date that was convenient for us and he had no problem accommodating us. His team showed up right on time the day of the install and we were pleasantly surprised that he came as well - and stayed the whole time. His team was kind, considerate, friendly and clean. They finished the job shortly after noon - just as promised. The countertops are absolutely beautiful!! They look even better than I could have ever imagined and we are thrilled! The workmanship is excellent as is the quality. We went with the lowest price and feel as if we got an outstanding deal. We are extremely pleased with Granite by Design and will recommend them to anyone looking to have granite countertops installed or any other granite work done.

Dave was absolutely wonderful to work with, not only did he do the initial estimate, he met and helped us make the actual granite selection. Installation was quick and the results are incredible. We were able to find a cheaper estimate but of the 4 people we spoke with only one was going to be a part of the actual install (Dave and Granite by Design)...priceless in my opinion. For what's it worth they were not the most expensive either. Dave is an around great guy and somebody I would have do another project without giving a second thought.

Dave came to our home for initial measurements and a quote. There were no additional charges after everything was completed. We met with Dave at a nearby granite supplier and he walked us through the store to help us make a good choice. He explained to us how to choose a good quality granite and one that would look good in our home. The granite that we decided to purchase looks fabulous in our kitchen. We went to his shop to pick out remnants for our two bathrooms. Raul, the shop foreman, helped us pick out two absolutely gorgeous patterns. He cut them to perfectly blend the granite with a continuous pattern up the backsplashes for our bathrooms. Raul, Juan, and Rodolfo installed all the granite countertops with no damage to the walls and were meticulous in the cleanup. Dave also accompanied his employees to supervise all aspects of this project. We were given a fantastic matching granite gift from Dave that we use on the kitchen table as a Lazy Susan. Shortly after the completion of the installed granite the plumbers arrived to install the faucets in the three rooms. They also did a fantastic job and were very neat. We are looking forward to installing granite in our master bedroom as our next project. Dave already has given us some great ideas. It is a pleasure to work with the owner of the company who cares about the customer.

It took longer than I would have anticipated to actually get the work scheduled, but once it did they were professional and quick and the counter top looks great. Dave is very friendly and knowledgeable. I would use them again.

Fantastic they were great to work with

Dave came out and took all the measurements for an estimate. A few days later we picked out the granite we wanted. Dave came back a second time for final measurements. About two weeks later Dave and his crew installed the granite tops. Everything went well. I have used this company in the past with great results and this job was done very well.

Dave was most accommodating and came through with a short turn around time. His 1 1/2 - 2 week window was indeed 9 days from the time he took measurements to installation. He was prompt, professional, and true to his word. He paid a great deal of attention to things like how we wanted ends treated, notching in around a refrigerator end panel, and the pattern of the grain continuing from the top up through the backsplash. We appreciated his attention to detail. Installation was quick, well executed, and without incident. It was refreshing not to have to badger.

I can't say enough great things about Dave and my experience with Granite By Design. From the initial meet to the installation process Dave was there every step of the way. Dave meets you at the granite supplier to help you pick out your stone and offers advise along the way to help you make an informed decision. I had a friend use a different installer and it was her and me at the supply house picking out her stone and neither one of us knew what we were looking for. So to have Dave there was a great help! Installation was fast and they took out my existing countertops and hauled them away. When they left there was no mess left for me to clean up. Dave has great attention to detail, he seen something he didn't quite like and has his guys fix it onsite. Price was great and cheaper than the big box stores I would highly recommend Dave for anyone in the market for Granite.

Dave was exceptional to work with. He had great pricing and delivered a quality product is less time than originally quoted. We had the kitchen done before Thanksgiving! And the cute lazy susan he presented me at the end of the project is an added bonus. I would definitely recommend him and wouldn't hesitate to use him again in the future.

I contacted Granite by Design after getting a run around from another granite company. Dave Eslinger, the owner contacted me immediately, came out to the house to give me an estimate. he was very professional, told me he'd be doing the measurements and installation as well. His price was very competitive with what the previous firm had offered. We purchased the package that included the sink, faucet and plumbing hook-up. We were glad we did that as it was very easy to make the decisions and the plumber that he uses is excellent. The installation was on schedule and as we had agreed to. Dave, along with two helpers installed the granite, and several hours after they were finished the plumber came and hooked up the water and installed the new garbage disposal. In addition to what he promised, he also gave a matching granite "lazy Susan". We are extremely pleased with the service and product. We found Dave to be extremely easy to work with and was the consummate professional.

Dave was responsive, professional and very hands-on during the entire process. Refreshing to actually have the owner assist with all aspects of the project. His team is very polite and hardworking. They spent an hour at their shop moving slabs around for me to choose from at the beginning of the project. Dave met a very important construction deadline for us without hesitation and also assisted with resolving some construction corrections during install. The process was pleasant and the end product terrific. We have received many compliments on all the countertops and vanities Granite By Design fabricated and installed for us. Thank you!!!

It went absolutely wonderful. The owner came and talked with us at no charge about installing the counter tops. He explained everything, measured and set up a date and time for us to meet him to pick out the granite we wanted to use. He was not pushy at all, ever. He was hands on the whole process. He was the one that came and installed. He was involved every step of the way. The outcome of the installation was wonderful. I would say Dave Esslinger was honest, easy to work with and the cost was very reasonable for what we had done. We would recommend Dave to anyone without hesitation. He was a pleasure to work with. Dave came by to give me an estimate. I liked him right away. I had had 2 other estimates from big box stores and thought they would probably have the cheapest price. I was so wrong. Dave's estimate was about $400 less plus he said he wanted me to personally select my slab of granite. I met him several days later at a granite store and we walked the aisles together to select the granite. Dave had suggested I bring a kitchen drawer with me to make sure it would look fine with the granite I chose. Dave helped me select the granite and then select the best slab. Less than 5 days later he called to say he was ready to install. Dave and his crew came and took out the old counter, disconnected the faucet and disposal, and then installed the granite counter. Dave had even made a granite lazy susan out of the extra granite at no charge. To say the counter is beautiful would be an understatement. It is gorgeous!! It is perfect. It is everything I wanted thanks to Dave. He was wonderful and so very helpful. You need to call him. He is more than reasonable, friendly, helpful, and just so very good at what he does.

Dave and his crew did a great job removing our old countertops and installing new granite countertops. Dave is easy to talk to and very professional. He provided us with a detailed handout of information regarding his service, etc. -- also instructions for care and maintenance of our new countertops. He was never in a rush, and he always took the time to answer all our questions. He went to the granite warehouse with us and used his experience and expertise to help us pick the right granite, but he never tried to push us into anything. Dave was very responsive, always called, and arrived promptly as scheduled. He also provided unexpected extras and went out of his way to make everything right. He also works with a local plumber, so everything was done through Dave. Great experience, and we love our beautiful new countertops -- they make our kitchen look great!

Overall, I was tremendously satisfied with my experience with Dave. I emailed Dave dimensions of what I needed as well as my choice of stone, and he had an estimate for me within a day or two (which beat the next lowest bid by over $400). Within another day or two, Dave came by and took measurements and was very professional and offered advice on layout and design. He quoted me approximately two weeks for delivery, but due to personal time constraints, Dave was able to have the project completed in just under a week. All slabs were cut perfectly and install was done beautifully in just a couple hours with no mess. The icing on the cake was a lazy susan made from the stone remnant. I would definitely use Dave on a future project and would recommend him to anybody.

OUTSTANDING. This was the most positive and rewarding experience. After talking to major national home improvement centers and several contractors, I contacted Dave Esslinger of Granite By Design by telephone on Friday morning. I explained that we desired to have dark granite counter tops and desk surfaces installed as soon as possible for our kitchen remodeling project. I provided measurements of all surfaces. Based on a straight no nonsense discussion, his cost, and time of completion estimate (which included an under mounted stainless steel sink), we met, that afternoon, at a granite distributor to view a dozen black/dark granite slabs. Dave pointed out advantages and disadvantages of each type of granite for our installation and whether each slab had enough material to provide a seamless counter top. This was VERY helpful in my selection of granite. Late Friday Dave surveyed our kitchen to verify my measurements and he made suggestions to improve the functionality and appearance of the counter tops. He suggested having the hardwood window sill/counter above the sink replaced by granite - at NO additional charge! The end result was in less than one week we had seamless custom granite counter tops, desk surface, and window counter, plus a beautiful double bowl under mounted stainless steel sink installed in our kitchen by Granite by Design. The price was half the price of two national home improvement chains, the customer service was second to none, the installation was flawless, and the wait to install was minimal. As a bonus Granite by Design included a matching granite lazysuzan for our kitchen table! It would be difficult to find a better experience than what we encountered with Granite by Design.

I am very satisfied with the entire experience. Dave came to the house for a consult and provided an immediate estimate, which he stuck to. His recommendations were very good and showed a great deal of knowledge and experience. He helped me through the process of stone selection and really showed that he understood the look I was going for. Installation was a breeze. The results are fabulous!

We got quotes from five vendors. We were prepared to go with another vendor due to their price, but they were slow in responding to questions which concerned me. Dave called me several times to see if I had received his quote, if I had any questions, and throughout the bid process. He ended up lowering his price to get within our budget and then walked us through the selection process. The countertops are GORGEOUS! Dave even made me a lazy Susan with my granite - a bonus I was not expecting, but which I love! I always appreciate when someone goes above and beyond for me. I would definitely use Dave again, and because we are getting ready to sell our home and downsize, we may need him again soon!

Dave Esslinger and his employees did a wonderful job installing a new granite countertop in our kitchen. Dave was excellent to work with, and he was very helpful to us in selecting, fabricating, and installing our countertop. Dave is very professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and punctual. His measurements were meticulous in that the countertop fit perfectly on both our kitchen counter and cooktop island. Dave's employees who assisted with the fabrication and installation were also exceptionally professional, meticulous, and friendly. We couldn't be more pleased overall, and will certainly go back to Granite by Design for future service.

Dave was very professional, responsive, and communicated well. Offered a very competitive price, and did a great job on time. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again..

Dave was extremely helpful in every aspect of the project. High quality workmanship - turned out absolutely perfect! Am hiring him again for another project!

Dave was very courteous and professional from the get go. He made very helpful suggestions in choosing the type of granite- met with me at the warehouse. He noted where there was some issues in replacing the countertop as the original one was thicker- he was able to anticipate potential problems. The plumber he used to replace the sink was also very professional and helpful. There was an issue of mis-measurement of the island countertop- this was noted after installation. As soon as I brought this to Dave's attention, he immediately (w/i 24 hrs) , had a new one cut and measured and re-installed. He gave me a leaflet with instruction on how to care for the granite countertop. He placed a sealant on it so that future maintenance would be very minimal After a month of living with the new countertops, I can say that I am extremely satisfied with the work done.

We did not proceed with the project through this company. They were helpful on the phone.

Have an unresolved issue. At time of initial meeting at the granite warehouse a drawing with measurements were provided to David Essinger and he confirmed that the granite surrounding our kitchen sink would be cut as one single piece--the one piece commitment was our deal breaker and we committed to work with Granite by Design. At final measurements in our home, the one piece around sink was discussed again with David and he confirmed it would be cut in one solid piece. The granite was installed and is cut in 2 pieces. It is very unattractive and disappointing. Have written David for resolution but he has not offered any. Nothing changed from the initial 2 commitments to cut granite in one piece. If such an important specification was going to change, then discussion should have taken place prior to cutting granite and prior to installation. Nothing changed in measurements from the onset. Was a huge investment for us and such a disappointment.

He was very good and very professional. He did what he was supposed to do in the time mentioned. He even took me to the granite warehouse so I could pick out my piece and got to see them cut it. He was very patient in this whole process.
