He was a real craftsman. It was a real close call. We went with another company because they were able to do everything we were looking for.

It went very well. It took one day, and they cleaned up quite well after the job. They were quite responsive and worked with me when selecting materials.

Okay, so I was very picky about selecting an installer to put granite countertops in my kitchen, due to a 12 year wait to upgrade my countertops. After getting 6 different estimates from granite fabricators/installers, I chose Dave at Granite By Design to fabricate and install granite in my kitchen and bar area. This was a great choice and I can tell you that you can trust Dave at Granite By Design to make your granite visions come true! Maybe your'e skeptical at this point, so I'll share my experience. Working w/Dave was easy and it became obvious thru the process that he is a trustworthy, expert craftsman. He was very careful in measuring and re-measuring my extra-wonky ancient kitchen to make sure that the granite counters fit just right. I looked at his layout of the templates of my countertops at his shop and I was very impressed with his layout suggestions based on the coloration and movement in my granite. Dave paid attention to the little details that were important to me, so the granite counters turned out the way I wanted. I showed Dave a picture from a magazine to indicate what I wanted my island/bartop to look like. Maybe this sounds risky (especially after a 12 year wait to remodel), but the island bartop turned out wonderfully and exceeded by expectations! The granite countertops are an investment in my home and I am thrilled w/the way the countertops turned out. Other contractors working on my kitchen remodel also noticed Dave's wonderful work and are referring their customers to Dave at Granite By Design. I will definitely use Dave again for granite work because he is a reliable, trustworthy craftsman with an excellent eye for color and design. I know that he'll get my future granite projects done just the way I want!

He was excellent! He was extremely knowledgeable, professional and was very easy to work with. What he charged, was the cost of his estimate. There were no surprises.

Overall the experience was wonderful. Dave is a very personable and professional person who knows what he's doing. He took the time to explain things and was flexible to work with us to make us happy. We had tile counter tops which were not the easiest to remove but his team came in and took them out. They protected the floors, took away the trash pieces, cut back the wood trim and replaced the pieces after putting down the new counter tops. He also provided a new sink at a more reasonable price than we could find elsewhere and we purchased a new faucet. These were hooked up by our plumber and our electrical hooked up the new stove top. He was able to take out and reuse our 2nd bar sink. He was always on time, patient, and thought things through. I enjoyed the experience and would gladly hire him again at a later date to do our bathrooms.

He and his crew were here for less than 3 hours. Everything was installed as requested, and the team cleaned up afterwards. I was very pleased.

It couldn't have been better. Dave is VERY easy to work with, as is his crew. It took me months to find the right granite, and Dave was patient the whole time. He urges customers to come in and see the template of their stone on the computer, and he moved pieces around so I could see different combinations -- and ended up going with his original design. His crew is very loyal to him, which I think speaks well of an owner. And he let me watch the guys work on my granite, which was fascinating. He came with the guys when they installed the granite, and after my dishwasher was installed, he sent Raoul to attach the dishwasher and buff out a few dings that I had found.

All the work was done in a very timely manner - much quicker than I thought possible! Dave did a great job for a great price!

Very patient during the process, made it a good experience for us. Also, did a quick turnaround for us, start to finish, 2 weeks. Had a few minor items that Dave needed to come back out to our house to correct, he did so quickly, as expected.

Dave came to our house and gave us a quote. When we went to the warehouse to choose our slabs, Dave met us there. He helped us choose our slabs by pointing out variations and markings he noticed; knowing what we liked and were looking for. Dave came to our house to measure and make templates. Dave was at our house with his crew on installation day. The granite has only one seam, and you can barely see where it is! This company does outstanding work! Dave was very pleasant to work with.

Our experience with Granite by Design was WONDERFUL! Dave responded quickly to my e-mail with an estimate and approximate date of completion if we chose to use his services. The countertop was produced and installed quickly and looks beautiful!

All you need to do is read everyone else's comments. Dave was great!!! He was professional on the phone before we met and took the time to answer all of my questions before he had the job. It did not end there. Once we decided to use Dave, he met us at the granite supplier and spent ample time with us so we picked out the granite that we liked best. We never once felt rushed. We were looking for a certain stone that had a little character. He helped us find one that had a lot of veins in it. He also plotted this out on the stone so the veins would be in the most visible parts of our countertops. He does all the work himself, so you deal with him direct from contract to installation. I was not able to be there for the measurements or install. He treated my pregnant wife with much respect through the whole process. I will use him again and feel confident that I can tell family and friends about him.

He was on time, and had to adapt as there were a few delays with my cabinets.

They were not the cheapest, but they were very competitive. We were very pleased with his input in what he felt we wanted. He listened to what we wanted the look to be, and he gave a lot of suggestions that were helpful to us, yet he let us feel free to make our own decisions. We were very pleased with him. He called several times to see how things were going. We highly recommend him.

DAVE WAS GREAT. HE SHOWED UP ON TIME AND WAS VERY POLITE EACH VISIT. THE PRICE HE QUOTED FOR THE JOB NEVER CHANGED EVEN THOUGH WE CHANGED PLANS ON HIM . DAVE SAVED ME ABOUT $2500.00 ON THE AVERAGE OF OTHER ESTIMATES.DAVE'S QUALITY WAS GREAT ON THE WORKMANSHIP.

The workmanship is perfect. The owner Dave Eslinger is the same person that does the template and oversees the work. They were very helpful. I was able to pick out the slab that I wanted. He is also a fabricator so it didn't matter who I bought the granite from. He has done work for us three times including our bathroom and laundry room.

Dave is a very knowledgeable and patient craftsman. He took a great deal of time in helping with a selection, and then installed as promised and on budget.

Took us about a 6 months to pick out the granite we wanted. Dave was very patient with us and very helpful picking out our counter tops. Once we decided he got it done very quickly and it looks great. Pricing was very reasonable.

The process from start to finish went very smoothly. After researching Angie's List and getting estimates from 5 others I decided that Granite by Design was the best company to go with. The estimate was the second lowest bid that I received out of 5. They were not the cheapest estimate out of the four, but they provided service, a professional attitude, and options and experience/knowledge that the other 4 did not provide in one package. The communication and quality of work is outstanding. From the time I selected the stone to template to installation was approx. 3 weeks. It could have been done in less time had it not been for a problem with my kitchen cabinets. If you are looking for quality work done right the first time then I would highly recommend Dave at Granite by Design.

We had granite slabs cut for countertops by another granite company and several pieces were mis-cut, chipped and unpolished. Instead of making the hour long trip back out to their shop, I called Dave and he was unbelievable! He arranged to come to my house the very next day, installed and buffed one piece on the spot and repaired several other chips and holes. You can't even tell where the mistakes used to be! He and his crew were finished within 20 minutes and he didn't even charge me for the work, saying it was no problem at all. I'm still in shock over what a great experience it was and would not hesitate to refer him to all my family and friends. I can't remember a nicer experience-this guy really knows granite!

He was a wonderful person, he let us come and he cut some tile for us, he even did it for free! He was very responsive, he replied to emails immediately even on the weekends. He was very helpful.
