I highly recommend Efficient Systems for any of your plumbing or electrical issues. I had a problem with my exterior grinder pump. I wasn't sure if it was electrical or plumbing in nature, so Efficient Systems sent both a plumber and an electrician out to look at the problem (and didn't charge double). As it turned out, I needed both people to resolve my major issue. The Efficient Systems workers were very punctual, professional, and helpful. They walked me through the problem and made every effort possible to assist me. They were super to work with.

The maintenance was thoroughly and efficiently done--cleaning of system, filters inspected and changed, all wiring checked, coolant level checked (there have been no leaks--or any other problems--since these systems were installed), outside unit cleaned. They have a comprehensive list which is carefully followed at each visit. (Our maintenance contract covers both spring and fall inspections and service.) Both installation and maintenance have been satisfactory in every way.23

Efficient Systems' staff impressed me so much from my initial contact that I immediately hired them back for additional work. I first contacted them to have a new air conditioning system installed in a home I was in the process of purchasing. They gave me a quote that I felt was highly competitive with other companies I contacted, but I was also impressed that brought a separate certified electrician available to help with the installation. I didn't realize until that point that the company also does major electrical work in addition to AC installs, and I was in starting to look into electricians to replace some knob and tube wiring in the home. I was impressed enough with Efficient Systems' staff that I decided to inquire about their electrical services while they were doing the AC install. Their electrician quickly gave me several options to bring the house up to code and his quote was very competitive compared to a couple other quotes I'd received. When they did that work a week later they went beyond what I expected from the quote, installing extra lighting in the basement, replacing all existing light fixtures, and rewiring some circuits to a more logical configuration. They have since followed up to make sure I was completely satisfied with their service, which I plan to use again as I continue to renovate this old house.

We called Efficient Systems for help snaking our main sewer line, thinking a clog may have formed. The technician arrived and ran a snake through the main line, at one point approaching a tough spot he couldn't pass (with two different snake heads) which he said might be a turn in the pipe. He then ran the snake through again with a smaller head and was able to extend 75 feet of cable into the sewer line. He had the sink turned on, and at one point the water looked like it was moving a bit. He said the line was cleared and removed the snake. Nothing came out with the snake - no sludge, no hair, no residue, no roots. Not knowing anything about plumbing issues, we trusted his judgment that the problem had been fixed. When we resumed using the shower and toilets that night, we experienced the exact same issue with water backing up through the basement floor drain. The line was still blocked. We contacted a few other companies for help and estimates and moved forward with their services. We contacted Efficient Systems and they issued us a full refund We very much appreciated that gesture toward rectifying our service experience.

The person arrived on time and was professional and polite. The work was done very well and very quickly. We would definitely have them work on our house again if the need arrives.

We came home from vacation to discover that the compressor on our heat pump wasn't working. Called up a guy (not these guys) to come look at it, and were told the compressor was bad. Efficient systems was one of the companies we discussed replacement options with; and ultimately the company we chose to use. And, I must say, I've never been as satisfied with a contractor as I have been with these guys. Everyone (no really, EVERYONE!) is great and easy to deal with. I recommend them to anyone. And, they do more than just HVAC work!

As always, Efficient Systems personnel responded professionally and promptly. Plumbing problems involving the septic system are still being addressed.

I haven?t yet received the final bill for the plumbing work. They were flexible with my schedule. I was happy with their work. They are also going to do some heating and air conditioning work for us. We had to reschedule a few times.

I wasn't really thrilled with a couple of things. They advertise a $49.95 tuneup special and I took advantage of that except when they came out they never really did anything with the tuneup. They came out and just inspected things here and there. They found their was a cat hair inside the system which he cleaned off. They never disclosed to me what was in the tuneup. I never could figure out what was included. I called the owner, but haven't heard back yet.

Everyone who was installing it did a fantastic job. They were all courteous and great all around. I would recommend them to anyone, and I would use them again.

As an Indianapolis client of Efficient Systems for the past three years, I called upon them when I was ready to reconnect an old gas line to light an outdoor lamp. What we collectively estimated might take several hours or a day at the most turned into an arduous project ultimately requiring four of Efficient's skilled employeed (including two managers) and the greater part of two days. The gas line, which had meandered all over beneath my front lawn, had to be replaced. Roots of a tall old white oak tree were so firmly entrenched--and in the way--that tunneling under the roots turned out to be the only way to run a new line a mere 15 feet from my house. Fortunately the weather cooperated, and frustrations that might have deterred others became a source of camaraderie in seeing the project to its conclusion. The old lamp glows again thanks to the talent, dedication, hard work, determination, and affability of Efficient Systems.

This is the second time I used this company and all went well. They again were efficient, professional, friendly, the job was well done, they left the place neat and tidy. In addition, I had hung a ceiling fixture myself in the hall and they noticed it was not snug. The electrician fixed my less than professional job, and now it looks great, too!

I rate this company an F for poor ethical practices.

The $3,000 is an overall estimate for the 4 separate jobs undertaken over a period of 4 years; Efficient Systems service is excellent, they show up on time, do the work properly and guarantee their work. We have just moved to another home and we will use them at the new house to add additional electrical circuits and a power transfer station.
