Capehart Landscape & Design

Some problems originally scheduling the services but they were prompt and completed the job very timely when it was scheduled. Patio looks wonderful and garden beds as well.

I contacted Capehart Landscape for landscape and lighting needs for the Sugarbush Hill Subdivision. I met with Mark Risvold, who is a Landscape and Lighting designer for Capehart Landscaping. Our landscape needs would be provided by Capehart Landscaping and the lighting would be handled by Mark Risvold's company LightingNation 365. Our meeting went very well. Mark was able to provide excellent suggestions on our landscaping and because he had his own lighting company called LightingNation365 he would be able to help us with our lighting needs. He said that he had software that would show us just exactly what the lighting was going to look like. I was really looking forward to receiving his proposal and potentially working with this company. However, that is where the story ends. I waited a week and a half and never received any type of estimate. Even though I received estimates within 2 days from two other companies who I met with during the same time frame. After 2 weeks I received a phone call from Justin Capehart to see if I had any questions and I told him that I had not received any information from Mark Risvold. I again waited another week and then called Mark Risvold to see when I would receive some information and he assured me that I would have something in the next 4 days. Unfortunately, that did not happen and I am yet to receive anything. I was truly disappointed but know now that I will never call Capehart Landscaping or LightingNation 365 for anything in the future.

Great! This was a hard project to work around due to our sloping driveway. Justin did a great job masking the slope in the driveway with the retention wall. When there is concerns on our part he wants to make the customer happy. We will be using him again!!

Initial call to the company was returned by Barb. We spent about 25 minutes on the phone talking about what w e wanted & special needs. She was great really, about the company & the process. We met with David (A landscape architect) at our home. Spent about an hour going over our yard. It only took a few weeks to a get a plan together and a start date. The estimate for removal of old patio & plantings and instillation of a new stone patio, retention walls, & landscaping came in at the top of our budget range. Work started within a day of the scheduled date. It took a 9 working days for all work to be done. The work crew were all very hard-working and respectful of our home. Carlos was the over seer and he was so good at communicating what was happening & daily reassuring us that would look great. Justin the owner was on site part of every day. I felt like everyone was invested in our project. Justin even came out on a Saturday evening to work with the electrician to complete the lighting. Final cost of the project came in slightly lower than the estimate. We love our new space & would recommend again.

The crew arrived on day noted and worked very hard the whole time on the property. Beds were all re-edged and mulch spread in a few hours. Crew chief and crew were all very courteous throughout course of work Owner stopped by during work and at end of work to check on process and quality. We have used Justin Capehart Landscape Design for years and will continue to use them in the future because of their quality work and sincere concern for customer satisfaction.

The owner, Justin, was very present and thorough during the whole process. His staff worked efficiently. The fire pit looks gorgeous. They are very experienced. Repaired the grass areas after the work.

Overall the Capehart crew did a fantastic job and it was a very good experience. They were very helpful during the original estimate in suggesting certrain ideas and not pushing hard for a bigger project. The work crew were very polite and at the site daily from the beginning of the project through the end, excavated as they said they would during initial discussions, and worked around certain obstacles that appeared midway through the project. The final result was level, clean and flowed nicely with the rest of the yard, and they did a great job cleaning up afterwards with repairing dirt tracks, planting seed and overstrawing. I would definitely recommend Capehart again!

We were thrilled with the work they did. Owner Barb Capehart and her son Justin were on site most of the time. They couldn't have been better.

Elaine came out and we discussed what I was wanting to do with my landscaping. Within a few days she sent me a computerized drawing of what she would recommend along with links to all of the plant options that she was suggesting. It was very helpful to be able to look online and see a description of each of the plants. After getting a few other quotes, I decided that Capehart was the best option for me. I waited quite awhile to make my decision and thought it would probably end up being late summer before they could work me into their schedule. Surprisingly, they were able to work me in much sooner and called on a Monday that they would be out the next day. They came as scheduled. Elaine was onsite to make sure that things went smoothly. They worked very quickly and had the job completed by early afternoon. It looks great! I am so pleased with their service! They did forget to edge and mulch around a few trees. I emailed Elaine later that day once I realized the error. They were back very early the next day to make sure it was completed. I would highly recommend Capehart and will use them again in the future for my landscaping needs.

This company really gets customer-service, in addition to excellent landscaping design and service. Their costs are very reasonable. They work quickly and efficiently, and returned everything on site to its original condition. Accidentally, one of my sprayer nozzles broke off, and Justin even come over on a holiday to replace it. I would give Justin Capehart and his company an A+ and a strong recommmendation.

Justin is very detailed in his work. Liked that he came out to see oversee the job. Along with that he is a hard worker and did some of the job himself. He was also conscious on having us not go overbudget. He had suggestions on future jobs- possibly next summer. The only disappointment we have is that 2 of our plants have already died- not on the part of over or under watering since 3 identical plants are in the same area and are thriving. Update: thanks Justin for replanting new plants.

We met Justin at the Indy home show then checked him out on angies list. The Stone Center had also given us his name - along with some others. Justin came out in feb to look at the project and give us estimates. I liked his ideas and went to the stone center to check out the stone options he recommended. We signed the contract in April. His crew started demo of the old porch in early June. It had to be removed with a jackhammer device because of the adhesive used. We had some weather delays as the job needed a full day without rain. It took Justin and his crew 1.5 days to complete the job once we had good weather. Installing the stone and applying thec polymer sand. It looks FABULOUS. Justin was great at keeping me informed as we went along. He answered all my questions with patience. They cleaned up after themselves each day. Everything went well.

The work was done precisely and efficiently...completed in approximately 5 hours. The workers concentrated and worked diligently and quickly. Justin Capehart, the owner, worked along with them and personally placed and installed the paving stones. He was very careful about siting them and making sure they were soundly installed and level. Justin was very courteous and friendly, as were the rest of his staff. We are delighted with the results and plan to have them do another job in the future. We also liked working with the estimator, Elaine Colter, who is a landscape architect. She is very professional and knowledgeable. I noticed that one reviewer criticized the company because of lack of responsiveness. I believe this may have been because they are so busy. It is a small, family-run business, and the office manager sometimes must be outside the office. I found that once our job was on the schedule, it got done, and done well, without delay.

No complaints about this company. I called to set up an appt for an estimate. They answered the phone, set up the appt and those doing the estimate arrived on time. They provided the estimate in the time frame they explained to me while onsite. They responded to questions quickly as well. I selected another company for the job based on seeing their work and the referrals from friends. Great company to do business with and I would recommend them even though I didn't go with them for the job.

Justin has a meticulous eye for technical detail and esthetic detail. He was personally involved in every aspect of the project. We were very pleased with the design of the project. The structure had multiple elevations and important structural requirements. It was clear that Justin knew exactly what was needed for structural integrity and drainage. He advised us on the requirements for the hardscape stones. No shortcuts were taken in the secure installation of the hardscape. He perfectly engineered the junction of the different levels of landings. The drainage was strategically placed and is working fine. The crew of Capehart Landscape are talented and hardworking. Access to our backyard was difficult. The curved design required patience and experience to properly place the (2000+) stones to match the design and look graceful. I watched as the crew continually made sure that the walls were level and the paver landings properly sloped. Justin and his crew took great effort to make sure that everything was ?just right?. Justin was extraordinarily open and responsive to all of my questions. It was a big project and I had daily questions! This in particular made a long and involved project enjoyable. Our finished retaining wall, patio areas and pathway are spectacular. The beauty of the structure is due the fantastic workmanship of Justin and his crew at Capehart Landscape and Design. This job went very well from start to finish. Justin, the owner, personally came to the house to estimate the job and was prompt in providing an estimate. The scope of this first estimate was a bit more than we wanted and Justin worked with us with two more visits to get exactly the design we wanted. Justin has a very good crew which worked efficiently to complete the job and clean-up. I will definitely use Capehart again for any future projects.

Crew arrived on time and got right to work. Supervisor of the crew spoke to me and verified all that was to be done. They worked hard, cleaned up completely both days and did a wonderful job. We are very satisfied.

This was a tough job! Mike & his crew did a great job! They were very professional, on time and competitively priced. Justin can be very proud of the work his crew did for us. We would recommend Justin's company to friends, family and neighbors.

Capehart Landscaping did an awesome job on this project. Justin came up with several ideas at different price-points. When they came to do the work, they showed up on time, and worked tirelessly -- in the rain, even. We used Indian Hills Boulders, some of which were very large and heavy. They had a crew of several workers who muscled the rocks into place. They ran a little short on material but went to the supplier for more, and held the price as quoted. Before leaving, they restored all the ground around the wall and filled it in with grass seed. The placement of the rocks is very solid, and they look totally AWESOME! Would definitely use them again!

My husband was reluctant to spend the money on a new patio but agreed to get two estimates. After the first, he still wasn't convinced. But then Justin Capehart came by and spent nearly an hour explaining the amount of work that would go into his installation. After that, my husband was convinced and we hired Capehart for the job. It was an excellent experience. The crew clearly knew what they were doing and the job was completed in just a few days. When the installation was complete, Justin even had the crew bring in a rototiller to level out the yard around the newly laid patio so there would not be a water issue, something that was not in the initial quote. We are thrilled with the patio and so glad we chose Capehart. We highly recommend this family-owned company to anyone who needs landscape work done. They're a talented, honest group of people.

I was drawn to this vendor by previous ratings and referrals. The first meeting at my home was easy and they anticipated much of what I wanted to accomplish. Once the design was ready, we met to go over design, materials, and expectations (in which they were extremely thorough). Everyone involved (Justin, Barbara, & Jacques) openly communicated in a courteous and prompt manner. Plans were absolutely beautiful on paper and exceeded my expectations once completed. Despite my remote location, the crew was timely and the transformation was quick (even with rain delay). They even worked through some minor additions to initial design without a hitch (so pleased with that entrance bed!!). I look forward to using them again and I will be referring to friends & family. Absolute pleasure Capehart's!

The team from Capehart never disappoints us. We had them put in a paver patio and sidewalk earlier in the spring and then had them come back to do the rest of our spring yard work. They worked one long day in our yard and when finished, all our beds were cleaned out, bushes and shrubs were trimmed back, all the beds were edged and clean looking, and they finished with a nice layer of mulch. I have used Capehart Landscape and Design several times and am never disappointed. They do good work.

What was supposed to be a 2 day job got completed in one day. That's a big plus, the mess is over and done with and we get to use it a day sooner. The patio looks wonderful and is a great enhancement to the front of our house.I'm absolutely thrilled with it and can hardly wait to sit out there with my morning coffee!
