Description of Work: Replaced spaulding bricks on the knee wall and chimney. Also, tucked pointed cracked joints, added a crown coat and water proofed chimney and knee wall. The brick and mortar work went and even replaced more bricks without charging more. We still had problems with moisture in the fireplace and argued with them for several weeks. They finally admitted that there was not enough waterproofing applied to the chimney. They applied a second coat which solved the issue. We felt dismissed and disrespected until we got the owner involved.

Description of Work: I bought a deal for chimney cleaning and inspection. Kevin showed up exactly on time and was very efficient and informative. I am so glad that I had it inspected, as on a camera inspection there were visible mortar cracks. It was very helpful to review the video, and he paid special attention to take photos of the damaged areas to show me and explain the problem.

Description of Work: CMO replaced mortar in a number of brick joints. They were very professional and explained everything in detail, even the different colors/shades of mortar. We were very pleased with the the results.

Description of Work: Zach checked the interior of the chimney from inside the home and got on the roof to check the cap and exterior. He explained what he was going to do before he started and told me his findings after and what needed to be done. It went very well. He was very receptive to questions and explained if I needed clarification.

Description of Work: Besides a chimney cleaning and inspection, we wanted them to inspect the gas logs. The technician arrived on time and promptly inspected the gas logs. Then he swept the chimney as he used a camera to inspect the chimney. After completing the inspection by going on the roof. Using the video, he gave a detailed explanation of what he observed and what we needed to do. He also left us with an estimate for the work that was recommended. | |The technician was courteous, knowledgeable, and did all we asked. We would use them again.

Description of Work: Hired to clean chimney flue and perform camera inspection. Upon arrival, immediately started commenting on the extreme risk from hairline cracks in the refractory plate fireplace liner. It became quite clear technician wanted to sell us over $700 of new refractory plates. When we said we wanted the flue cleaned and a camera inspection, we were told that would all be a waste of time and he would probably just damage the refractory plate further when removing them to clean behind them... said that since the refractory plates needed to be replaced, he would just do the cleaning and camera inspection when he came back to replace the refractory plates.. When we insisted on having the the cleaning and inspection that we paid for performed, we learned that camera inspection would have to be another time..camera batteries were dead.... and we had to repeatedly listen to how it was a bad idea to clean the flu without replacing the refractory plates. Did not care for the fear mongering and heavy handed sales tactics they engaged in at all. Internet research regarding hairline cracks in fireplace refractory plate did not support the grave risk the technician was warning us about.
