The worker came when he was supposed to and was very friendly and courteous.

I bought a coupon on Angie's List to have my chimney swept out and cleaned. They called when they were ready to schedule the appointment. I called to confirm. They came out to my house on the day they stated they would. The chimney sweeper even called that morning to see if he could come earlier. He was polite and informed me of repairs and problems that will need to be taken care of in the future, and sent me an estimate.

Excellent service and professionalism. Masters at their trade. Courtney provided the estimate in timely manner. David supervised the job.

Purchased the Big Deal Chimney cap and they sent someone out to look at it and take measurements. The installer/salesman talked with my wife and said they would have options for us shortly. Two months went by and we never heard from them. I called them to follow up and they were not sure what happened. Once they realized they dropped the ball they did everything they could to make things right.

Not well. Many delays "due to weather" since first contact in September. Go date in December delayed again. Had to contact owner myself for updates about start date instead of him contacting me. Responsiveness poor as well as professionalism.

He scheduled the job for a mutually agreed time frame. And completed it in a timely manner. He was very professional in his manner and the work done.

The tuck pointing and repair work described above was excellent. The work was very professional. You cannot find where it was done!

It took at least week for them to give me a call me and return my two to three phone calls to him. The guy was professional and we had scheduled an appointment for him to come out, but upon further discussion over the phone, it was determined that I did not need the service.

Kourtney was very courteous, professional and knowledgeable. After cleaning the chimney, he left the work area very clean. .I told Kourtney that I would get back to him on the service quote, The service was excellent .

They did a good job - it did take a little bit of time to get scheduled (weather related), but they were great otherwise. They were neat and the work seems to have been done well.

This company seemed swamped with responses to the special deal they offered, and contacted me after the date Angie's List promised. Then there was an address mix-up on the original date of service. But once we finally connected the work was done very efficiently, competently, and professionally.

He was very prompt, and explained things very well. I was surprised that there was still ash in our fireplace when they left, but I took care of it quickly with the shop vac.

He came out and looked at the job. We agreed on a mailbox that could be used. I ordered it and he came back and put it in.

I have used them twice and they did a phenomenal job.

This coupon was purchased while the company was called Chimney & Masonry (C&M) Solutions on 6/2/11 for 3 hours of masonry work for $99. Then their name changed to Masonry Outfitters at 1140 E. 46th St. Indianapolis, IN. The owner provided an estimate for that time plus extra work that I wanted done. It was difficult to tell what was done for the coupon, but there was a discount on the additional work which was helpful. I did have to request that they come back and clean off some of the brick where some tuck point work had been done as the mortar had dripped and smeared in a couple places by the front porch which they did right away.

We had a few scheduling rearrangements at first. Kourtney was very busy with response to the big deal. And it was back in the spring when it was still raining. But he kept me informed of timing for the work and as I didn't need to be home it was not a major problem. The majority of the work was done in 2 days. But I couple of months later I had to call him as I had not received a bill (he required no advance payment). I found out then that the reason I hadn't been billed was because he had to apply some additional waterproofing spray do he didn't consider the job completed. It was on his to-do list but I'm not sure when he would have gotten to the work if I hadn't called. It made no difference to me since we had no rain all summer. Kourtney was very pleasant and got the additional waterproofing done within the week. All in all this was an excellent experince and I am pleased I would someone to do a complete repair job. It was money well spent.

No further comments. Very satisfied. I'm submitting an update on 6/1/2013. As per our agreement, above, the technician came out again last week to inspect our fireplace and chimney, and even though we had used it several times, he told us it did not warrant a chimney cleaning yet, and that he felt he should not charge us for one. He went ahead and cleaned the ashes out of the fireplace itself (he insisted!) and he scheduled another appointment for us for a year from now, in 2014, at which time he will still honor the original coupon. I really don't know how any company could be any more fair than this! I am also changing my rating on the price from a B to an A, in the light of how much effort they have made for us while refusing to charge us anything! Yay for Masonry Outfitters! I'm submitting another update on 6/29/14. The Masonry Outfitters guy came back AGAIN this year (still on the original voucher, with no additional charges), and this year, he completed a fireplace and chimney cleaning. We were totally satisfied, especially in light of the fact that the company has sent someone out three years in a row, at no additional cost, in order to make sure we received value for our money. Thank you Masonry Outfitters!

Masonry Outfitters were very easy to work with and the work they did still looks great.

Masonry Outfitters came to clean my chimney and fireplace. They came and cleaned the chimney/fireplace first starting on the roof. Then they came in and cleaned the fireplace. They then had it ready for this winter.

Professional, good workmanship.

I was contacted within the same day of my initial inquiry for services by Kortney the owner. He set a time within the same week to visit my property and examined the leak and determine what would be needed to make the repair. I received a proposal for work with two options within 24 hours of his visit. Kortney and I discussed his services and cost associated in the options of his proposal and he explained in great detail what each option entailed in the scope of work and materials. I choose the option and work was scheduled and completed in a reasonable time frame.

Kourtney was very professional and offered us several options to deal with cracks on our brick chimney. We ended up going with the least expensive first and we have not had any problems since. Very responsive.

Money well spent. Kourtney examined my flue inside and out. He told me I Hana few broken tiles and recommended I have some repairs done when I could. He was firm but not alarmist. I should have bought 2 coupons, one for each chimney/fireplace but he looked at both, swept just the one. Good experience!

When the mason got out here what he had been told to do didn’t match what I expected. We called the office and they said they would take care of the work. I found some other problems that needed to be taken care of and also was interested in having them do a job at my sister’s house and he took photos and said that he would get back with me for an estimate. I did get an estimate for my sister’s house, I never heard back from them even after multiple calls and emails.

I chose not to have the work done as the estimate was more than I wanted to spend.
