It went really well. He was very honest, and gave me a tip that I don't need to have it cleaned every year. I thought that was wonderful. I had a concern about how the house fills with smoke when we are using the fireplace, and he said he could trouble-shoot to find out what was going on, but that would cost quite a bit of money, and he said that he thought it was not necessary. He thought it was normal and not a concern. He was prompt, and explained things as he went along, and took great care to not damage the floor.

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and it turned out good. They were on time, and they did a quick job, and they cleaned up afterwards. I was satisfied after the repairs.

He came out and looked at the chimney and it didn’t need to be cleaned. I only got an inspection, but he didn’t give me a discount even though he didn’t have to clean the chimney. During the inspection, he did find some problems. I asked for a quote. He never came through with a quote. I tried to contact him, but he never replied.

I had purchased a Big Deal $99 for Three Hours of Masonry Repair. Everything went well, they were very responsive and professional, kept us informed, and they were able to get to us sooner than scheduled. I was very pleased with their services and would keep them in mind for future needs.

Masonry Outfitters was fabulous. We'd definitely rate them an "A." Here's the deal, my husband and I didn't realize because we have a gas fireplace and we didn't have to have our chimney swept but he said he would check it anyway as part of their service, right? So when he went up on the roof he took pictures of an area where the flashing was coming apart. So he quoted us a price and then credited our $99 to that repair. He put that right away and we were very pleased with the work.

Terrible experience! I bought the Big Deal on Sunday night and they were supposed to contact me by Tuesday. I didn't hear from them so Tuesday night I called and left them a message to please call me. I didn't hear from them so I reached out to Angie's List on Thursday asking Angie's List to track them down. Masonry Outfitters sent me an email through Angie's List which I only stumbled upon when looking for a different company. I called Masonry Outfitters and left a second message asking them again to call me. When I hadn't heard from them mid-morning on Friday and I called Angie's List back and asked for a refund. I originally bought the Big Deal because Masonry Outfitters had performed work for me last year. I think the company has been sold since then. Don't waste your time dealing with this company.

Cap finally got installed. Before I purchased the $89 deal I spoke to the company and told them I wanted to install a cap over the exhaust fan in my chimney and wanted to know if they could do the work under the 'deal'. They performed an inspection and called me to tell me it could be done. I purchased the $89 special. We had some issues getting the installation scheduled and when they finally showed up they told me the caps they brought out would not fit and that they had to special order one that would cost me an additional $190. They told me the cap was being sold at cost....I don't know if that's true or not. My frustration was that I asked them to pre-inspect so that I would know up front before purchasing the special what the cost would be. They obviously did not do a thorough inspection. In the end, the cap was installed. The process was disappointing. Additionally, when they came out to do the installation I told them I needed my other chimney inspected and a quote provided to tuck-point the brick. It's been 2 weeks and I'm still waiting for the quote.....

Technician was very good at keeping the whole process clean so that there was no soot in the house. He cleaned the chimney from the top down from outside with the flue closed. Then he came inside and vacuumed out the firebox while slowly opening the flue. Also explained everything he did.

They were great with clean up and not damaging any plants. Great communication too.

They did a good job. Their are no leaks since they sealed it.

We bought 3 hours of masonry work for $99.. He told us that the stone on both areas of our house needed totally redone to do it right. We could continue patching as I had been doing or pay much more money for the total rebuild of the two walls. We were very happy that he didn't try to use up the big deal then right in the middle say I need more money!! We will call them back when we save the money to fix it right!! Thanks Angie!!

They are extremely professional, and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend them. I got a few different estimates, and I decided to hire them on their responsiveness. They followed up with me afterwards as well to make sure everything was okay.

It was as good as I expected, however, the communication was slow. I would recommend them to others.
