They did a fabulous job. He showed up when he said he would come. I though his price was good. He was able to schedule it and get it done fairly quickly. It was just an all around good experience.

It went okay. They performed the service and provided some information on my flashing and things like that that needed to be taken care of. I only paid for the big deal and then they gave me a quote for other work. They were thorough, prompt, courteous and whatnot. Their pricing for the other work was kind of expensive but I would consider using them again in the future if needed.

I remember being very efficient. I think what I remember most was you taking pictures around the top of my roof and there was something that was loose that he showed me the picture off and so I was impressed with the way he handle all of that. He made a suggestion about something that could be repaired, but he was not all pushy with that. I probably would get him again for the next season. I don't remember any issues at all. I think he was pretty prompt. He was very polite. He showed the repair and gave me an estimate, but wasn't pushy about it.

The representative (owner) arrived a little earlier than scheduled (which was fine) and did a visual inspection of the fireplace and exterior chimney (from the ground, approximately 25 feet away from the chimney). He did not believe a cleaning was needed. He provided sensible answers to several questions. Based on his visual inspection of the chimney he believed a part of the chimney needed replaced and was rusted and a possible source for water ingress. He was to email a proposal. Despite numerous calls to his cell phone and office and emails to his office, I was unable to get a response. Approximately 3 weeks later he did email me the information apologizing that he had misplaced my information.

The employee came out and examined our fireplace and said it was clean and did not need any servicing at this time. They give free inspections and I liked their service. I will call them once it is time to get our chimney cleaned.

They arrived told me it didn't need cleaning but would give me a cleaning in the spring at no charge. I was very happy and will call him in April for the spring clean-up.

They came out and the provider said that I did not need the deal. They did not charge me for the visit. I have chosen to seek a refund. The gentlemen that came out was on time and informative. They were a bit behind so it took a bit of communication on my end to schedule the appointment.

I purchased a chimney sweep deal (Chimney 795570 from Masonry Outfitters for 99 dollar sweep plus a 100 dollar credit for repair if needed. The appt was finally set up for 1-20-14 - I was unable to be at the home during this time but had my daughter there to let them in and answer any questions they may have. I just spoke to the technician and he said that they would NOT be cleaning my chimney due to the damage in the smoke chamber. He will be emailing me a detailed estimate of what it will take to get my chimney up to code (approx 2000.00). He stated that I should contact Angie's list and that you would give me a refund of my purchase for the chimney sweep since they are not going to do it. Service provider was very nice about the whole issue and will be providing me a written report of all damage that my chimney has. Would still recommend them to other members.

It was great but it was okay. The work was as promised. I think we determined that the price that was offered was essentially the same as the normal price. It wasn’t like a special Angie’s List price.

They did a very nice job. One of the problems was quite complex and Masonry Outfitters did a very nice job fixing it. They were very professional.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it was okay, but it is not something I would purchase again. From the time I purchased the deal it took quite a while to have the service performed. I actually had to call Angie's List because they would not return my calls, even though I tried to contact them several times. They finally returned my calls after I called Angie's List. I liked that he was willing to get up in the attic to inspect something that I wanted him to on the chimney. Then he looked at the inside of it and said it did not need to be cleaned so we did not get a cleaning. Then he looked on the outside and said there was some other work that needed to be done. He was trying to email me some pictures and estimates that I never received. I did not feel I got much out of the service.

Reached out a few times to get scheduled but never heard back. I'm to busy to be chasing trying to get something scheduled.

They had to come out several times. They were ill prepared for this service, so we finally ended up just getting a refund after the third time they came out and were unable to perform the service.

I purchased the Big Deal for a chimney cleaning service from Masonry Outfitters on November 13. I was told I would be contacted within 10 days, but never heard from them. I finally gave them a call, but it was never returned. On December 3, I finally received an e-mail from them that indicated I needed to e-mail the office to schedule an appointment. I immediately e-mailed them that day and never heard anything back. I e-mailed them again on January 8 and still haven't heard anything. I have requested a refund and will be finding another company to do the work.

I would appreciate a full refund for the chimney sweep/inspection through Masonry Outfitters. I have had nothing but a nightmare trying to schedule appointments with them. Last Friday was the last straw. No call/no show. Flimsy excuse. I don't want to keep wasting my time with this company. I will look for another company to clean my chimney. I know this was purchased in September...but is has literally taken that long back and forth and then finally Friday's no call/no show was the final deal breaker for me. I have been more than patient as I work in the customer service industry and understand things happen. I didn't appreciate their excuses, and if I may be so bold, potential dishonesty about emailing me a cancellation/reschedule. Really??? I called and left several voicemails after the no show the day they were to arrive. I finally got an email the following Monday and they told me they had emailed me...they didn't. They also stated in Monday's email they would reschedule on Wednesday when they opened and still no communication (call or email). Thank you in advance. I have only been on Angie's list for less than a year and like the service so far. First lemon...

IT WENT GREAT!! Cannot say enough about the work quality and professionalism of the folks at this business. The employee, Kenny, who tuck pointed deteriorated joints on my fireplace and then parge gaps where lintel is located, did a top notch job; very quality conscious; something I highly appreciate when having work done on my home. I most definitely recommend this company!

We had a difficult time confirming an appointment. The company was really busy because of the time of year for the service and there was a message saying that they were busy and to try back. I was concerned that no one was going to show up for the appt and that I was going to loose my money. I was very pleased when the representative showed up at the date and time as scheduled. He was very friendly and informative. Though he tried to sell other services that they offer; he was not pushy at all. Just informative of some other repair work that may be needed. I think that he was pretty much on track with his recommendations. I would use this service again in the future.

They were fast and polite. They answered all of the questions I had about my fireplace, and I would certainly use them again.

Purchased chimney cleaning services through Living Social. Called and left several messages and still haven't got a call back to schedule. Would not recommend this poor customer service provider.

He was done in about 20 minutes and did not clean the chimney with a solvent like other companies will do. I would not use them again.

We purchased the deal for chimney cleaning on Nov. 13 and were told we'd hear from the service provider by Nov. 15. We didn't hear from them and couldn't get in touch ourselves, so we asked Angie's List to intervene on Dec. 2. The company emailed us on Dec. 4 to ask for our address to set up an appointment, and we responded right away. On Dec. 31, I hadn't heard back, so I again tried to contact them to see if they'd received our address. On Jan. 8, I still hadn't heard from them, so I asked Angie's List to help us get a refund.

I had great difficulty getting them to respond to my phone calls after we signed up with you. The young man (and owner) who gave us service was fine although I'm skeptical about his recommended $3,000 in follow up service. For this reason, we'll ask someone else for a quote on this.

The service was fair. They gave us $100 off on a masonry repair, but they said the repair was going to cost $3000 to $5000 and I didn't want to spend that money. They seemed nice enough and everything, but as far as I was concerned there wasn't any point in calling them. There wasn't much they have done. The chimney was not very dirty and they just swept it out and it didn't take them much time to do it.
