He did a review of the chimney before sweeping it. He let me know there were problems inside the chimney and outside above. The price he quoted me was too high so I didn?t go forward. The communication wasn?t great via email, but communication was good in person.

They have not been able to come out due to the weather. However, they have been responsive so far when I called them.

They missed the initial appt. and did not call us. We had to call to ask why not a phone call to reschedule. The tech. Did not clean the fireplace. He inspected it for damage only. The tech was very knowledgeable. His follow-up was timely and good. I would work with them if they improved their responsiveness and punctuality

They have been very professional so far. They told me exactly what they would be doing. It took a little while to schedule them out because of the weather, but that has not been an issue. I have asked them to do some additional masonry so there will be an additional fee for that.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal, but did not use this company for the Big Deal service that I bought. Instead I had them do the front repair work. The work they did was good and complete, but I did not use them for the chimney work because I thought their quote was too high.

They found matching brick and mortar color even though the exact colors have not been made for years. Very friendly and professional.

They initially came out to inspect the chimney and concluded that it did not need to be swept. While they did not sweep the chimney, they quoted us on other projects involving the chimney that we were not interested in. Everything else was good in terms of them being professional and on time.

Masonry Outfitters called me and made an appointment to come out to see how big the job was and what materials were needed. They came out on May 6th and the worker went beyond just estimating the job. Because it was a small job he went ahead and cemented up the hole there and then. It looks good. I would use them again.

They came out and gave me an estimate and by the time we got everything organized it was too late in the year. I wanted to wait until it got a little bit warmer to do the work, but I haven’t heard back from them. I wanted it done last year, but scheduling was so difficult. When I purchased the Big Deal I emailed them and it took so long just to hear back from them. They said they hadn’t checked their email. I would suggest them to check their emails every day because it draws the concern of how reliable and responsive they are. I am inquiring with Angie’s List for a refund. I plan to reach out to another service provider to have the work done.

This was a much bigger project that I wanted to get into for now, I am seeking a refund from Angie's List.

Service was fine. Because if weather what we had hoped to be done in December/ January ended up being completed end of February / first of march.

It took several contacts to get an appointment set. Responsiveness was very slow. They did fine with the work and inspection. It was noted that a new cover was needed for the top of the chimney. This was something that I was aware of and so was interested in what the quote would be to get that done. I feel like the price quoted for what should be a fairly simple straightforward replacement job, and a part that is not very expensive was way above what I expected or would ever pay. It felt like a "I don't want to do this price to me."

The company came by and said they couldn't go on the roof because of the pitch and weather and that they would be back. This is the last I heard from them.

Very professional and seemed to know what they were talking about.

It was fine, they were very good. They were terrifically polite and everything.

They called to confirm the date of work and, again, to tell me they were on the way here. The work was performed, however one brick (specifically mentioned at time of estimate) was not replaced. I mentioned that to their staff member, who then secured the brick to the corner of the masonry. Job was then completed.

They did a great job. I thought their price was very good.

They were alright. I feel like they could have just told me that my chimney was clean and didn't need to be cleaned, instead of taking my money. They did a good job, but there is no way for me to tell unless I climb up my chimney. The interaction with them was fine, it was professional.

Their estimate was far higher than we expected so we procured another estimate which was much less and ultimately had the work completed quickly and satisfactorily by another provider.

They were incredibly professional. As they cleaned & inspected our chimney they explained any issues or concerns they had. They offered us multiple solutions to any problems found. They were prompt and extremely polite.

I purchased the big deal from this company. All attempts to contact them and schedule an appointment have been to no avail. I have received no response when I emailed them through Angie's List or by phone where I have left multiple voicemail messages. I previously reported this to Angie's List more than a month ago and have heard nothing from them either. My question - who is running either business?

They told us that the guy that came out a few years back used NON-FIREPLACE-SAFE materials! I was stunned. When they got up to clean the chimney, they said they couldn't clean it due to the condition. They wound up installing an entirely new chimney and fireplace insert. They did a great job, and we were pleased with the repairs. They cleaned up very well, and they were very trustworthy.
