Brick + Ember Outfitters

I'm in California and the work is being done on my house in Indianapolis which is 2100 miles away and it's a little bit difficult for me to figure out when things are done and when they aren't. So I just needed to follow up to see where that last piece have been addressed because everything else looks great that they had done but there's one thing that I was just wanted to make sure that they have gotten to, because I haven't heard from them and the last week was a holiday weekend. There is one item outstanding that I need to follow up on but otherwise they were great, they did a great job for a great price so I'm very happy with them and I'm glad I found them.

It went really well. We have had them out here several times. They were great and they did a great job.

It was fine. They did a good work. We had them come to the house several times, for an extended period, it was spent for different things. They did a very good job. If we had a need that they could satisfy, we would absolutely use them again. They were very professional.

They did a great job !! I asked if they would save the bricks from the chimney for me to use on a different project I am planning on my home. They chipped all the mortar off them, and stacked them behind my garage without me even asking !!! ( I would hire them again if needed)

There were some bumps along the way, but the job turned out well. The trouble was due to one young, inexperienced worker who made a mistake that caused damage to my house. The rest of the work crew was very good, professional. Chimney & Masonry Outfitters made sure the damage to my house was well repaired and even put a warranty on the repairs. So everything came out fine, but I could have used a little less drama.

Very well. Chimney & Masonry Outfitters completed the project within the estimated time, at estimate cost. They were respectful of my property & took care to clean up. Didn't even know they were there. The new chimney is solid as ever!

This service was jointly paid by next, the new owner, and the previous owner. Maybe because the quote was in the name of the previous owner's real estate agent, I called twice to schedule and was never called back. My wife called our realtor and we got a call within a day. I expected they would came prepared to replace the old, rusted cap, but they only came to take measurements. So I took half a day off work needlessly. They did come and replace the cap. I thought the fit was a bit large and responded to one of their emails asking if I had any questions. I asked if the gaps around the edges would create an issue down the road. I have yet to receive a response. The cap looks good, it seems rather pricey (I had no frame of reference) and their communications left a lot to be desired.

I had some issues with installation and initially was dissatisfied with my insert functioning however the chimney staff came back out - made some adjustments at no additional cost to me and now my fireplace is working well! For the first time I am looking forward to the winter as my home will be nice and cozy with my new fireplace. The staff was so great!

Wonderful! We had 3 estimates and they were by far the best company to go with based upon their knowledge, and wanting to work with us to get repairs done in a timely fashion for a buyer's inspection.

Excellant. If you want a no hastle, honest, responsive contractor these are the people you want.

They did a good job They put a nice concrete cap on it. My neighbor noticed how nice it look.

I will admit they are very friendly and customer service is great. I'm also certain they do great work but that's the hiccup. For what price? I had them quite me 2 damper clamps to be placed on my chimney damper and do a minor mortar repair. Now mind you, the clamps are "u" shaped with a wing nut screw that is fastened on the fireplace damper. The cost per clamp was $49. I found them on Amazon for $3.99. The mortar repair was minima at best (given who repaired it later) and they have a minimum charge of $499. I will give them credit, they did say their service is the most expense, at least they told the truth. I ended up doing the whole thing for $115 which included all parts and labor. Like do like their fancy printed up trucks though.

It went very well they were timely, respectful, and reliable. When it came down to the end of the job they did exactly what they said they would do. Nothing changed from the first estimate I received and the job took a little less time than the time they had arranged. All in all this was the first time to use a masonry company and I had heard all kinds of horror stories about dealing with Mason's. Fortunately the folks over at Chimney & Masonry Outfitters were very nice, polite, and I was very pleased with the work. I have my masonry company, do you?

The service went well. Cleaned the entire chimney and pointed out areas of concern form the inspection. Very professional and prompt.

we had a coupon for a couple hours work for $99, that revealed other issues with mortar, flashing, roof cap, etc. they addressed them all and we have had no issues since.

The work was done in a clean, complete and very acceptable fashion. Adam was timely and professional. All of the work was completed per the estimate, and when a deviation to the original plan was necessary, the work was detailed with options prior to completion. We would highly recommend the company.

The work that Chimney and Masonry did was superb. When all the work was completed we ended up with dust throughout our home. Unfortunately, this provider did not use the proper equipment to keep the dust down and we have a film of dust everywhere. The contract I signed stated that they would leave the house as it was before they started the work. The workers also tracked mud into the house from their shoes. Although I have contacted this provider several time, they have made no offer at all to make this right. I am very disappointed with the way this provider handled this situation as their work is excellent.

They came and did the work and they cleaned the chimneys and they also did some work around the chimney cap but to be honest we just noticed actually probably a few months later that the chimney is leaking and we never called them back just because it had been so long afterwards. So I'm actually just kind of disappointed that it was not completely done. It was the fireplace chimney in the kitchen and it definitely is not working properly and we don't put a fire in that fireplace because it is not working and when it rains there's a drip. I do wish that we had noticed it sooner and have them come out but we just didn't and it has been a couple of years now and obviously it's not something I would call them about now. They were a little bit responsive. They called us back when they said they would and they came out when they said they would. They completed the project on time like they said they would.

He explained a few things and sent me the video of the sweep. He was fairly quick and also friendly. He stuck around and we discussed personal things for a bit, nice guy.

Overall I was very pleased with my experience. Very professional. I did have to push pretty hard for him to honor the Angie's List 10% coupon which was very weird and not normal but he finally got permission from his boss to honor it. Very happy with everything else and will recommend and hire them in the future.

Zach was an absolute professional with the service. Very punctual and courteous the entire time. Answered all of my questions and explained everything that he was doing. He walked me through the different options that I had when we talked through the problems I was having with the damper. Ended up going with a full replacement of the damper in a very timely manner. Overall, great service and the team has a true professional in Zach.

The serviceman was punctual and very professional. It was a good experience overall.
