It was wonderful. They left my place just as it was before the arrived minus the leaking roof. I will have them back soon to replace the interior stonework which was just done by another company. They did a great job of explaining the problem, possible solutions and costs of each. A very well run project was performed, on time, at budget.

Tony arrived on time was very professional and quickly assessed the problem. The fireplace was fixed and back up and running in no time. Tony also took some time for me to ask some general question. Service was professional and I am happy with the outcome. Will use again.

Everything went as planned. The only hiccup was they had to reschedule the work, due to rain that delayed their previous commitments. Overall an excellent job!

The chimney sweep and camera inspection was good and they were very good about accommodating our schedule. We were considering having them do additional work but, no one ever got back with us. We were a little disappointed no one got back with us because we really liked the man who came out.

The assessment and the project went great. Kevin Tackett responded immediately to my call, came by the next day to make the initial assessment. He and his partner Paul were pleasant, well informed, and well able to explain the problem as well as show us how the water was entering through the cracked mortar and painted surface of the chimney. The original chimney needed to be torn down and rebuilt from the roofline. The crew came promptly when scheduled (about two weeks later). The 2-man team worked steadily for four days -- very polite, courteous, and hard working. They completed the job in 4 days. The new chimney looks great -- and no more water after rains.

After enduring years of water leaks, I called CMO for an estimate to repair or rebuild my chimney. They recommended a rebuild. Two days before the work was scheduled, they called and said they wanted to start a day earlier. I had to scramble to make arrangements to be home, but they arrived just a little late and finished the job in 1 1/2 days. During the follow up inspection, I pointed out some water-damaged wood that had not been replaced. They sent out a crew to fix it, on a Saturday of a holiday weekend. So far, the new chimney seems to be working fine.

The people at Chimney & Masonry Outfitters (CMO) are absolutely fantastic. They are incredibly polite, professional, prompt and efficient.. The exceptional service started on Sept 30, 2016 when I called them for an estimate on sweeping our chimney to eliminate creosote, spraying parge inside the chimney to improve airflow and reduce fire danger. Also included were taking two photos of the chimney; one external shot and one internal. The total cost was quoted at $1,177; which based upon my research was typical and reasonable. The office/management communicated quickly to my request for an estimate with a formal and detailed contract describing what they would do and the cost of each work component. After reading CMO's proposal, I realized that I didn't need a photo of the exterior of the chimney and requested that the two photos be taken of the chimney's interior; after sweeping the chimney and after the parge was applied. Ultimately, the only photo taken was after the parge was applied. On Friday, Oct 14, Troy and Vince called about 15 minutes before arriving to confirm we were home and to alert us that they would be punctual. Once arriving, Troy and Vince worked quickly and efficiently. While Troy swept the chimney, Vince prepared the parge. After Troy was finished sweeping the chimney, he helped Vince with the parge as its application required the coordinated efforts of two people. The whole job took less time than expected. Since only one photo was taken of the interior of the chimney, Troy offered to have someone call to schedule Zack to come out and vacuum the lint tube from our clothes dryer which is vented to the roof and was getting dangerously clogged since the lint trap on the roof had last been cleaned. As with Troy and Vince, Zach called ahead of the appointed time to clean out the lint tube which took about 5+ minutes. Everyone was polite, experienced, professional. It was a pleasure to watch them work and I would not hesitate to refer them to others or call them again for any masonry work.

- workers showed up late everyday (around 10:30am) - the job took almost 4 days when they said it would take 2 days. my living room was in a mess for over a week. - On the second last day of the job, the crew never showed. I called the supervisor twice, I emailed and called the office. Someone finally got back to me at 3:30pm saying the crew wasn't going to show. I wasted half a day of work waiting for your crew. - lastly, I got a a call from the supervisor's supervisor (Chris) 2 weeks after the job was finished wanting to get my feedback. I told him that I was frustrated with the service and that I would not recommend your company to anyone. He didn't even bother to ask about why I was frustrated but was quite concerned about when I was going to send a check. You missing the point. Terrible service!!

They were great. Showed up when they said they would and did a good job of cleaning up after.

I am extremely disappointed in the quality of the repairs. In May 2012 I purchased a $99 Big Deal to repair my chimney and stop water from coming into my house. Mr Zahn, the owner of the company provided a 875$ estimate for the work which he completed. The work came with a 3 year workmanship guarantee. The summer of 2012 was extremely dry and throughout the rest of the year I had no water coming in through the chimney. However, by 2014 I began to notice water in my home. For a number of reasons I did not able contact the company until the summer of 2015. In the summer of 2015 a representative from the company came to my home and found that the workmanship for replacement of flashing was inadequate. Using a hose on my roof, he showed that the water poured into my attic from around the chimney. However, as I was a few months past the 3 year warranty, they were unwilling to perform any repairs without payment. It required some negotiation and multiple phone calls to get a repair of the flashing at a “reduced price” of $375. the repair was completed in Sept 2015. One year later I find that I am getting a substantial amount of water through the chimney again. The estimate for repair is over $1000. The inspection of the chimney showed areas of sub-standard workmanship for the flashing. I have written to Mr Zahn to request a refund of the $375 I paid in 2015 and the $425 I paid in 2012 for flashing repair. I am no longer interested in having his company perform the repairs.

I have no complaints. They redid work. We had hired another company to take care of the leak in our chimney. The other company did not do so. So we had to hire yet another company and pay again to have the work done that was supposed to be done by the first company. It was really difficult to get any company to come out. They came out and did a lot of work on the chimney. It was so wet, they had to wait to do the waterproofing. They had to let the mortar dry. I was worried about whether they would actually show up in six weeks to do the waterproofing, but they did. That was really good because I had paid them in advance and I was concerned about that because if you pay them before they do the work, chances are they won't. The initial guys who come out are really professional, very well trained, they know exactly what to do, what to say. They go through a process, you can tell, some sort of a sales process. So their initial first impression is superior, but then, when it comes to coming out, they say they will be here at 9:00, they're not here at 9:00 and I get a call at 11:00, "Oh yeah, we're on our way." You get the same kind of crap. The initial guys are superb, it's just, everyone after that is kind of inferior, less than the first impression that you get. I probably would use them again, just because everybody else in that industry sucks so bad. So they kind of win by default.

Everything was good. I didn't see them too much but I think they were fine.

I wanted them to clean out the chimney but they didn't do that.

It turned out very well. They did a great job. The price was reasonable because they did quite an amount of work. I was very pleased with what they did. They were very responsive. They were great. They were here and they looked at it. The weather changed so they had to come back and finish it. They were on top of it. They were very professional. We're very pleased.

They did a great job. They worked on my old house. They seemed to do a great job. We passed the inspection and were able to sell the house. I think there was a crack in the chimney that was causing moisture and they had to seal the crack. I think the price was fair. I had a quote and I compared it to another one, that's why I know it's good.

It went very well. I've used them a couple of times and they're good.

It turned out very well. I e-mailed them and set up an appointment with them. They will be out again. I have a wood burning stove instead of a fireplace. So they have to do more work on it and stuff and on the chimney and stuff. I've had them a couple of different times. I've always been very pleased with them. For a fireplace it's $100, but for my wood burning stove it's a little more than that. They are very responsive. They've explained why working with wood burning stove was different than a regular fireplace and stuff. I've got carpet not too far from my wood burning stove, they've always been very clean. They always do a good job. There is never a mess. It's too easy to make a mess and they don't. They just do a fine job.

It went well, they even painted the wood when it was included in the estimate. I thought it was a little expensive, but the quality was good.

They are a good company. Their price was good.

It was great. They were good. They were on time.

I would give them an A across the board, that's why we continue to use them.
