Bauer Pump & Well Service

Came out promptly and replaced a pressure switch and then determined the water softener / filtering system was part of the problem. It has been working prefectly since!

It went very well. They were on time and were nice to work with. Our well pump stopped working on a weekend and our regular well people do not work on weekends. Bauer's was highly recommended by a neighbor and was able to come the next day. He explained everything very well, is well informed and answered all of my questions. They also cleaned up inside and outside after the well installation very nicely on a messy job.

Found Greg Bauer received straight A's on Agnies List. Contacted his phone service. Received a phone call back in approximately one hour. Received an estimate on the phone with a promise to be at my home within two hours. Greg came and completed the job effectively and efficiently and within his estimate. Ground around well casing was had standing water for a week. We call Bauer Pump & Well and he responded the next day. Diagnosed the problem right away(bad elbow)but told us that it would take a week for the ground around the casing to dry out enough to dig down to the elbow. We did some of the digging ourselves, which Mr. Bauer told us would save on the cost. After we called him back to let him know that the ground was dry enought to do the work, he was out the next day. The work was done in 2 hours, and after they had left my wife noticed that water was leaking by the pressure tank in the basement. Mr. Bauer turned right around and came back and fixed the pipe leading out of the pressure tank.

We had a water leak coming from our well pump. The metal coupling had a hole worn in it. Bauer Pump & Well were able to dig the hole and repair the leak in a matter of a couple of hours. They left the area smooth and clean. We had the same problem about 5 years ago and the vendor we used then did not replace the coupler with quality metal. We personally doug the 3 foot deep hole ourselves the last time and it took about 5 hours of hard labor.

Greg Bauer ROCKS!!!!!!!!! After every torrential downpour I have two areas near the house of standing water. I was convinced that the water level was moving in time with the cycling of the sump pump. I called Greg Bauer after this last bout of super rainfall, and I know he was very busy, and he made time to come out and look at areas the next day. He quickly determined that the sump pump was not involved and he patiently expained and demonstrated that the problem was a combination of a clogged, underground ,clay pipe and too short, gutter pipes. I had been preparing for some kind of major drainage bill that would destroy my yard. He was so knowledgable and patient, I wished something was wrong with my sump pump!

Work went really well. We noticed flooding near our front stoop on Saturday morning. We went on Angie's List and selected Greg for the work. He returned our call promptly and explained what we could do until he was able to come out to the house. He stopped by on Sunday to assess the problem and then returned Monday morning with an associate to fix the pipe.

Called on Thursday came out on Monday and checked my well, did routine maintenance and fixed what was broken.

My well pump started cycling on and off every couple of minutes, so in order to save the well pump it had to be turned off and used only when necessary. I Call an Angies list A+ plumber to come out and diagnose the problem and give me a schedule and estimate for repair. The diagnose was a hole some where down in the well line due to corrosion. The corrective action was to pull up the well line and replace all the line with new pvc. The schedule was a week out and the cost was a whopping $1850.00. Right after the plumber left I called up Greg Bauer. He was out at my house the next day on a Saturday and not only fixed the problem, but also tuned up the whole well system. My well has never operated better than it does now and I've lived in the house for over 20 years. Oh, and did I say he saved me roughly $1500.00 dollars. Thank you, Greg Bauer!

My sump pump went out on a Sunday. Bought one and installed myself. Was not sure about some issues, so I called this service. They responded 1st thing Monday morning, guided me through some issues, and called talked to me for ten minutes. Appreciated their help and patience and saved me some expense and a service call.

He showed up on time. He was very professional. He charged a very reasonable price. He answered all of my questions and was easy to talk to. He did a nice job cleaning up after himself.

About 2 months ago, I called Greg because our water well pump was running far more than it had in the past, and we had low water pressure. He arrived the next day to fix it. He pulled up the well pump and found a rusted out pea-sized hole in the ungalvanized pipe thread just above the pump. He replaced all the iron pipe with PVC, then adjusted the pressure tank for higher water pressure. Since then, our water pressure is much better, and the pump only runs when needed. No work has been needed since his visit.

We used another company to service the old well first and had a bad experience. Greg was great with advice and everything involving the new well that was needed. He was very responsive to all our needs. The only drawback was he only took cash. We were able to come up with the money and he did the service quickly. We have better water pressure than we have ever had.

They came out and found that our old one needed to be replaced so that we could fix our problem. They were very quick about installing it. I would recommend them.

Mr Bauer efficiently troubleshot and corrected my problem. He wasted no time and offered no unnecessary services. His pricing was imminently reasonable. He epitomizes the experience one should expect from a competent, customer-oriented service contractor.

I asked for an estimate first, for which they quoted me $1200. It was $200 higher, he said it was "due to some unforeseen problems." I was a bit skeptical of that. I would use them again, they did good work, but I would ask for a more detailed estimate.

Mr Bauer returned phone call within an hour and set a time to check my water system. Planned to do the work in a week, and he was at my house on time. Did a good job and explained the why and how of what he was doing. Found three problems which were all repaired.

We had an old sump pump that was working okay, but thought we should get a backup. We contacted Greg Bauer several times with questions after he came out for the initial estimate. He was very knowledgable and even told us of someone to contact if we wanted to try and have the old pump rebuilt. We decided to keep the old pump, but put in a submersible back up. When they pulled out the old pump to move it to allow room for the backup, it turns out the bottom was all rusted out and couldn't be reinstalled. They promptly told me this and asked how to proceed. We went with just the new pump and no backup.

We have a well and discovered no water late Sunday evening. We called Greg Baur first thing and left a message with his answering service around 7 a.m. Greg called us at 7:30 to let us know he would be out by noon. He called again about 8:30 to say he was available to come on out to get us water. He had to crawl all the way through the crawl space to get to the pump. To make a long story short, we went on to work and he finished up. We had water when we returned home that afternoon. We used Greg 10 years ago when he had to put in a new pump and he said he probably wouldn't see us for another 10 years. He's very courteous, honest and I had no worries about leaving the house with him here. He locked up and left the bill on the counter.

They came immediately, which was great because it was a cold day.

He came first thing Saturday morning. They were able to save my pressure tank so I didn't have to get a new one. They were punctual and professional.

They called the day ahead to confirm (this was not an emergency situation) and then showed up as scheduled. Very efficient work. Thought the price was a little high but, on the other hand, I did not have the tools or the know how to diagnose and fix the problem. I have confidence the problem is fixed now.

Greg Bauer responded within 2 hours of my call at 6:30 AM to their answering service. Was at my house by 9:00 am the same day. Called me at work to discuss what the problem was. Completed repairs before I got home from work. Very efficient & was without water for the least amount of time & inconvenience.
