It all started 8/24/16, when I noticed water stains on my bathrrom ceiling. They finally sent someone 9/8/16. A bad pipe boot and leakage around a skylight that was installed prior to us moving in on 10/15/10. I had a skylight ordered, and when it came in, they came over on 9/15/16 to install it. I was told $750.00. Wrong size skylight, but they fixed the pipe boot, did a very poor job. On 9/19/16, I noticed a shingle still sticking up from two years ago(they told me the heat from the sun would help it seat) as well well as a drip edge sticking out. On 10/3/16 They brought over another skylight, still the wrong size.I was told the opening in my roof could be altered to accomodate it. Ed Vest, the owner, told me a custom built one would be required, $1,075.00 this time. I called back a few days later and told Ed I wasn't interested in the skylight, couldn't afford it right now. He told me he could just seal around it. On 10/11/16, they came over and fixed the drip edge(it looks ok), but the pipe boot still isn't seating all the way at the leading edge, and the shingle is still sticking up. The owner, Ed Vest, never came over once during all of this, all talk done on the phone with him and Danielle, his secretary. Many times a worker wouldn't show up, and I had to call and let Ed or Danielle know.. The damage to my ceiling, I mentioned to him and texted pictures, but nothing ever done, or offering to fix it. I will NEVER use these people ever again!!

The roof needed replacement because of hail damage. Cardinal Construction representative inspected roof said cost would be the amount that insurance company paid. Contract written, but $2000. more .Work day scheduled. No show. No cancelation call or another date scheduled. After calling Cardinal twice more, different dates were scheduled. No shows. No cancelation contact. Shingles and supplies on front lawn nearly two weeks. Work day. No notice of coming. Ten guys. Had to carry dog out because of debris .Had to have $600 more to finish job. Company for dinner. Had to clear a path for them. Pounding all through dinner. We could have rescheduled dinner. Unused supplies on lawn - two days. Call to remove. Rain. Water leak into garage. Called owner. No show. Rained again. Leak in garage. Called owner. Fixed. Rain. Shingle piece coming down downspouts.now. Roof shingle placement looks uneven.

We went with them because of the combination of the materials they used and the price. Overall they were very professional. My biggest complaint was that Ed was very good at returning calls before we signed the contract. After that, the communication was not very good. He told us they would show up the next Friday and on Tuesday they put a dumpster in front of the house. We would have liked to have known ahead of time so we could have gotten the cars out of the garage. They had a good price. In general they were pretty punctual but they did come early, which was fine if I had known. They were very professional.

The contract stated that the work was to be started and finished the last week of August. It took 3 weeks and a couple of phone calls to get the garage done and it was even worse with the house. All total it took 2 months to get everything done and another 2 weeks for the dumpster and extra supplies to be removed. During the time of construction, we had to make calls on why the work wasn't being done. The management does not communicate well after you sign the contract. We discovered a leak in the back of the house two weeks a go and when I called Cardinal the person was a little short with me. It happened that 3 days later, while I was home, there was a banging on the back of the house. Cardinal was there with a ladder looking into the situation, but they didn't knock on the door to let me know they were there, they didn't leave a note, and there wasn't a phone call to me letting me know that they investigated the leak or if they needed to made any repairs. If I had not been home I still would not have known that they had been over to check out the leak. I am suppose to have a 5 year warranty on the materials that they used and the company needs an invoice to finish the warranty process. My final payment was the end of October and the company still has not received the invoice from Cardinal so I can get my warranty.

Too many wrongful doings. Poor service!! Will NEVER hire them again. Nor would I ever want anybody else to.

Roofing of home. Quality of the work appears to be good. Clean up after completion was not very good. Contractor was less than agreeable to work with. Disappointed with how the event concluded.
