Legacy Heating & Air Conditioning

We were having erratic cooling from our air-conditioning unit, and the noise of the fan/blower seemed to be different. Of course, you need help just when it is getting hot! My husband called, and the response time was really good - the technician was there the next day. The first response from the tech, before he even inspected was -"well you probably need a new unit - it's old (1996)". Our initial thought was he is just supposed to SELL! Thank goodness, he did a good job of diagnosis, cleaning, and recharging. The next time we will be more ready to know that we may need to replace the unit.

We used Legacy for the first time this year for our furnace and A/C maintenance. I'm not sure what other places charge for service, but we did the $140 yearly maintenance program in which they come out twice a year and inspect and clean the furnace or A/C, plus lots of other discounts of parts and labor and off of emergency visits. We also needed some duct work done. The tech was very polite, professional, and respectful. Sometimes technicians and service people are rude and make you feel stupid for needing their service. This guy was awesome. He came on a Saturday with a smile on his face. We will definitely use Legacy again!

They spent at least an hour or more cleaning the unit and making sure that it would work well for the winter.

Our A/C went out in the hot hot summer, of course it was a Sunday night, called legacy Monday morning and they were right out, it was just a bad capacitor and was fixed in no time.

They couldn't complete the job; but they recommended me to the people who could. They were honest. They gave me a quote. They came in, and they were on time.

Legacy Heating & A/C performed duct cleaning to "freshen up" my house, since I moved in approx 5 years ago. Legacy was courteous and professional when I first called them & inquired about duct cleaning for my first time. (I mentioned that they were referred to me by Angie's List.) Cost: $20/ duct, but they gave me a price break of $18/ duct. I believe this pricing is competitive. I made arrangements for them to come to my house during a week day (so I would have to take time off of work), as they normally do not schedule duct cleaning on weekends. However, their equipment was in for repair, so they were cool enough to reschedule their visit on a Saturday morning. Legacy came and brought their own mat to protect my carpeting/ wood floor as they were cleaning my ducts. I thought maybe they were a little too quick about doing a thorough cleaning, but I was not looking over their shoulders either. Overall, I was satisfied with their service and their willingness to come out on a weekend due to equipment issues.

First off, Krissy from Legacy was very helpful and was able establish pricing up front before the service was performed. She also notified the day of service that the guys were running behind and that they needed to stop off and get a respirator mask for the sanitizing. Mike and Damian were very friendly and professional. They cleaned all the vents in the house, 27 vents. The process was using a vacuum system to clean any debris and dust out of the vents and then after this had been completed used a sanitizing spray. I would have preferred the fog sanitation but this wasn't an option and Krissy threw h in the sanitizing free because of the number of vents. Overall the vents are much cleaner and I'm pleased. The guys tried to clean the dryer vent but are not equipped to clean a vent that doesn't terminate outside within a few feet. My vent goes up and then out of the house and they were not able to do this but also did not charge me either. During the initial overview of the furnace they determined that the fan would not shut off even after turning the furnace off from the thermostat. They worked to determine the issue and stated a part would need to be ordered to correct the issue. I told them to order the part and to get it fixed. They ordered the part and a week and a half later another gentleman from Legacy came out to install the fan controller, his name was Scott. In the end the controller was not the problem, so I waited a week and half for the fix that really wasn't a problem. Scott was able to troubleshoot and determined the actual problem; luckily he had this part on his truck and was able to swap it out in a few minutes. Overall, I will use Legacy again and would recommend their professionalism and pricing.

We know when we call Legacy that we will be treated fair. They have a lot of integrity. We have used them for all of our HVAC needs since they opened. They also sevice our rental properties.

I found Legacy when reviewing customer feedback on experiences with heating and air conditioning companies. The feedback on Legacy was extremely favorable, so I called them the week of October 4 to find out how much they charge for a furnace tune up. I was told the service costs $79 and the woman I spoke with went over the services they provide. I was told a 1" furnace filter was covered in the tune up price, but that a 4" filter would be more expensive. They recommended I buy the 4" filter myself rather than buy it through them. I was given a list of dates to choose from to have them service my furnace. I was pleasantly surprised when they had an opening for Saturday, October 9. I was given an arrival window of noon-2pm and was told the service would take 1-2 hours to complete. Legacy called on Friday to remind us of our appointment and they called again shortly before they arrived on Saturday. The Legacy repairman showed up at 12:30pm on Saturday and worked steadily until 2pm. He explained everything he did to the furnace as part of the tune up prior to putting the cover back on the furnace. I then signed the necessary paperwork and paid for my service. He explained to me a few other services that Legacy provides that I could keep in mind for future considerations. The 2 representatives from Legacy that I worked with were very friendly, helpful, and informative. The service went smoothly and the I was charged exactly what I was quoted. I would gladly use Legacy again.

They first came by and did the work on time, they were punctual. After about 2 weeks, I had some problems so they came back out. The guy who came and fixed it, didn't do so properly. They came out a 3rd time and were able to repair it, they did not charge for the additional visits and the unit is now working just fine. The additional work was covered under the warranty of the initial job. They were honest and easy to work with, even though there were difficulties.

From the time I called in to set the appt. until the service person left, it was a great experience. Polite, available, punctual, knowledgeable. The receptionist answerED even when I called in the evening. I got a call when the service person was on their way. The service person wore booties to cover their shoes. No pressure to buy anything or upgrade my units (I have an older furnace and A/C). Competitive prices. They have coupons and specials. I had my first service in 12/2008 and continue to have my yearly furnace maintenance done by Legacy and had them come out this June to do a maintenance on my Air Conditioner unit. I recommend Legacy.

He did a few extra things that he didn't charge me for.

Our air conditioner broke during one of the hottest weeks we've had this summer, and Legacy had it fixed within a few hours of calling to ask for an estimate and repair. The technician was prompt, polite, and efficient. The service was reasonably priced too. We'll definitely use them again.

They were very prompt. They call ahead to say they will be here at a certain time and they are here. They do a thorough job, they told me it would be 4 hours and they got it done in 3. They were very good. Some places I called were twice the price of Legacy for the same work. I will call them again.

They were excellent. They came out the same day that we called. They were courteous. They knew what they were doing. We spent about $170. We thought the price was reasonable. They came early and I was not in the house. We will use them in the future.

They were really great all together. Their workers were great and the work fast. I would give them and A+! I was happy with everything they had done for me and will use them multiple more times in the future.

It went well the workmen were knowledgeable and helpful. I would use them again for either of these services.

Received estimates from three reputable local companies and found pricing to be reasonably close. Steve Wright at Legacy took his time explaining what he felt would work best in our house, answering any questions we had thoroughly and accurately. The installation took five full days as Steve estimated it would. Could not have been happier with the installation crew. They were on time every morning and explained what they were doing each step of the way. They involved us in any changes that needed to be made during the installation due to unexpected impediments encountered along the way. The house was left as if they hadn't been there at the end of each day. Very professional and courteous .

Everything went fine and they did not try to sell us anything that we didn't need and I greatly appreciated that.

I was impressed that they arranged to do the work all on one day instead of making us pay for an additional service call.

They were very helpful, informative, and polite. They called before they were set to arrive and from the moment they were at the door they were great. I would use their services again.

They were right on time, really responsive and came on the same day after I called them. I was really happy with their quality of service. They were very professional.

Great. Due to earlier incident, office called to advise they were running late. Did great job and used drop clothes in areas they took equipment.
