Vogt Carpet One Floor & Home

They definitely knew what they were talking about. Their customer service was good. They are reputable. They are in business for about fifty plus years. They had different products that I had to choose from. They installed it and they really had good installers. It was promised as the word. Their price was very comparable than other places. They were always punctual and early.

It was part of an insurance claim. The finished product was good. It took a long time to get things done. The materials ended up getting back ordered and so it put us behind schedule by three or four weeks. Otherwise, they were fine, in terms of what we actually got, we were very pleased with. It is just that we would have appreciated it if they were upfront about the possibility of that kind of delay. I do not remember it being overly expensive.

I have dealt with Dee exclusively and find her to be professional and knowledgeable. I would not want to try to find another flooring rep, that is this friendly and really listens to and understands my needs. Each time the installers have come to my home they are punctual and professional. It seems that Rene and his brother Sal have usually been my installers and I have had the pleasure of getting to know them somewhat. They know what they are doing when it comes to installing any type of flooring and have gone above and beyond...doing little extras to make that "perfect job" that I will be proud of for years to come.

We were recommended by State Farm. The laid our carpet and kitchen flooring because of a fire we had in our home. They were very nice and took alot of time with me to explain everything. The owner came out recently to help match our old carpet since it was not in production anymore.

Having had major water damage to 2/3 d's of our first floor, we were in need of new flooring in our entry hall, bathroom, kitchen, DR and LR. Wanting to update the look of our home, we decided to purchase Armstrong Alterna Vinyl tile with grouting, replacing 28 yr old parquet flooring and vinyl sheet flooring in the entry, BR and KIT. Carpet replacement for the LR and DR seemed to be our choice for the 16 yr old non-scotchguard carpet, buying Tigress Chic N Soft Supreme II Jewel. Our sales assoc. was Dee Ann who was pleasent and easy to work with, once we wanted a quote, the owner was on site within 2 days, and since we were also wanting Tile in our FR we had a separate quote given since the other areas were covered under an insurance claim. Estimate was received within 24 hours. Vogt was one of two companies we had for estimates, I still have yet to hear from the other company on the carpet pricing, somehow we picked carpet that they had no price sheet on, but after they called and quoted the tiling job additional cost, they were no longer a choice. All Material was ordered on 7/22, and arrived on 7/30, work began tear-out on 7/31 and all was completed in 6 work days ending on 8/7. Vogt has their our installation team (s) and Renee and Salvadore were polite, willing to work around us at times, cleaned up each day before leaving, and were genuinley a pleasure to work with.

The workman did not do a good job of cleaning up afterwords. They also had to be called back to fix a piece that was too short at the door and to polish over the nail areas where they reinstalled the molding. The job they did does look very nice and the owner of the company even came out to see what the problems were in an expedient manner.

After choosing carpet, Rob came to our house to measure. He called the next day with a quote and we decided place the order. He then sent us the quote in an email to sign and when we got it, it was over $200 higher than the quote he had given us over the phone. These 2 quotes were within minutes of each other. When I called to talk to him about it he really didn't seem too concerned and told me that I'd have to talk with one of the Vogt's, but she wasn't there. (I think her name was Jen). I sent an email and followed up with a phone call the next day and she agreed to give me the carpet at the original price I was quoted. About a week later, I received a phone call at about 7:20 am. An installer asked me if Vogt called and scheduled my installation. When I told him "no" he said that he could come over that morning to install. He did a nice job with the installation on the stairs but we hadn't received our area rug yet. At this point we felt the customer service was lacking, but were still pleased with the carpet and installation of the stairs. Another week passed and we had a message that our carpet was in and we could come by and pick it up at any time. I called and asked if they were planning to deliver it because an 8 by 10 carpet wasn't going to fit into my small car and I thought it was odd that they expected me to pick it up rather than it being delivered. Rob said that somebody would bring it by that week. I never heard from them again. I tried to call numerous times and each time I would ask about my rug, they would take my information and ask who my sales person was and they would tell me that they would have Rob get in touch with me. In mid January, they sent me a bill! I called and told them the rug had never been delivered and again they took my info...this time Rob returned my call a few days later and he had someone bring it over that same afternoon. When they arrived and unrolled the rug, it was the wrong size. I looked for my paper work and showed that it was to be an 8 by 10 and I measured this rug and it was 7 1/2 by 8. This man then tells me he is a Vogt and when I told him that I felt the customer service was interesting to say the least, he just stood there and didn't have anything to say. He then said he would take the rug back and have Rob call me. After 3 months of waiting for this area rug that should have only taken 2 weeks at the most, we decided not to have the rug made through them.

I had a good experience in the showroom and Vogt was very willing to lend out samples. I was quoted a price for the tile I had chosen in the showroom and proceeded to schedule an estimate for installation. They were over an hour late with no phone call or apology. It took over a week for me to receive the estimate and was told that the calculations were "'complicated". When I did receive the estimate, the price for the tile was almost double what I was quoted in the store. They made a mistake when they quoted me the first price, but would not even consider honoring that price. I was then pressured to make a decision in one day, or my price would go up another 20% due to their supplier. I felt as if Vogt was not interested in doing a small job and just gave me a price that made it worth their time. I would never return to Vogt, which is too bad since I am looking to replace the carpet in my whole house too!

The tile laying was great and they did an excellent job laying the tile. The rep we dealt with for sales was a challenge. They were late on the installation. They haven't billed us yet. The guys that laid the tile were very professional but the sales rep wasn't.

Dee was very helpful, concerned with my needs, likes and budget and very willing to work within my limited budget

I do not remember how much I paid as it was done through my insurance. Overall, it went very well. They were professional and prompt. They were very good at what they did.

It didn't go at all! Background, I (the wife) went into the store to look for vinyl I had seen on line. A Mr. Varouj Basmadjian helped me find it. The price he quoted was about 12 cents more then online but I figured I'd deal with that after the estimate. They did get someone out here to measure that same day. After that, it went down hill fast. When Mr. Basmadjian called with my estimate either I heard him wrong or he transposed the first two numbers. I went to the store, got a printed copy of the numbers and found that it was not as high as I thought. Still higher then we wanted so we decided not to do the work. Now for the rest of the story. "We" recieved a holiday card from Vogt tile addressed ONLY to MR. Not Mr.and Mrs. This morning when Mr. Basmadjian called he asked for my husband. When I said he was not here, he asked if I was his wife. When I said yes, he said "I quoted a bid to your husband" NO HE DID NOT! My husband has been in that store exactly once back in May to help pick out the carpet for the basement. I was the one who came in for the vinyl, I was the one who he talked to and I was the one who was making that decision! To be regulated to the side because I am female, (which is all I can feel at the moment since the man who I saw wanted to deal with my husband!) seems pretty Victorian and antiquated in today's business market. To say that I will NOT be doing business there and I will be telling all my woman friends of my experience goes without saying!

I am the 1st owner of my home, I keep it very clean, and well maintained. The original shoe molding needed to be removed which I was very apprehensive about. The installers, while foreign, were extremely courteous and displayed very meticulous workmanship. They removed but would not reinstall the toilet in the master bath which is an industry standard. My son is very handy and he easily installed the toilet the same day as the floor was laid! The floor was laid perfectly in one day and they came back the next day to finish and install the shoe molding. I must say I am *amazed* at the quality of the shoe molding replacement. It looks like it was never removed!

They did a wonderful job. The young man that did the work did a wonderful job. He was very professional. We had the tile installed on a diagonal it looks beautiful. They were a pleasure to have around, quiet. They cleaned up well.

We could not find a replacement carpet runner that we liked. Vogt helped us find a carpet that could be cut in narrow strips to create a runner. We were very happy with their help in selecting the carpet. It took a while for the carpet to come in, but it was still sooner than estimated, so we were happy. The installation guy was meticulous in getting the new runner straight and securely installed. We are very happy with the appearance and how the new carpet is holding up.

They did not install the carpet or tile on the day originally agreed upon, causing problems with other workers in our house. We never received an apology for our inconvenience and we were made to feel as if we were being unrealistic to expected one. Very unprofessional, the customer is not their priority. We will not be using them again.

They did a very good job. They are so nice and they took a lot of time with us. The installation was very nice it all looks amazing. I would recommend them.

Outstanding! The process was a great experience from the beginning to the end. Jenn was our sales rep. She was very patient, offered great suggestions and provided follow up to ensure I was happy with the job. John, the owner. was equally outstanding! Without a doubt, I will use them again and would highly recommend them!

They did a good job! I thought for what they did it was reasonably priced, the work was top notch, I can't complain! The price was between $2,000 and $3,000.

We are very satisfied with Vogt. We dealt with a representative by the name of Varooj. He was very kind and was willing to bring samples out to our home. He measured the carpet and offered suggestions for saving material cost. They followed up well on the project to let us know when the material was ordered and when the carpet would be installed. They also have a very nice, well organized showroom.

They arrived two days late from original schedule but we were notified they would be late. We are very disappointed in the vinyl floor. We felt they were expensive, i.e., $40 each to move the range and refrigerator about 8 ft. We had bubbles under the vinyl, some of which they were able to repair, some they weren't. The floor is lumpy and uneven. Due to my complaints, Mr. Vogt did allow us a $1000 credit (original cost was $3411) because I feel he realized it was definitely not a professional job.

The salesman kept his appointment for the initial home visit but from then on was too busy to follow through and provide assistance in the shopping process. He was knowledgeable in the products but didn't seem to have time to answer questions. We might hire this company in the future if the salesman has the time necessary for selling.

ROB LUTTRELL FOLLOWED THROUGH WITH ALL ASPECTS OF THE INSTALLATION COORDINATION. INSTALLATION WAS ACCOMPLISHED IN THE TIME FRAMES IMPORTANT TO US. PRICING WAS REASONABLE AND CUSTOMARY.

THEY SEEM TO KEEP HAVING DELAYS IN FINISHING MY JOB AND THE PERSON I NEED TO TALK TO ABOUT THIS HAS NOT RETURNED MY CALLS. WE JUST WANT THE JOB DONE.

THE INSTALLERS WERE PROFESSIONAL AND DID A FIRST CLASS JOB. WE WOULD DEFINITELY USE THEM IN THE FUTURE.
