I had been having several problems with the van lately. I thought there was an alignment problem and when I braked I would hear a thump, thump thump sound coming from the back wheels. I called Bergmans and asked if they did alignments. They suggested that problem was not with the alignment put with my tires. I took their advise and got new front tires and the alignment problem went away. The thumping problem was still present so I made an appointment and took the van to Bergmans. They called back and said that the rear brake shoes and drums needed to be replaced. They did that work and changed the oil. I really appreciate their work.

Didn't like my estimate from 96th street automotive for this needed repair, saw Bergman's had great reviews on Angie's list and gave them a call. Impeccable service and great price - they even came in under the estimate. Really a pleasure to deal with...called me to get authorization for a $2 part that was not in the original estimate. Appreciated the honesty and attention to detail. Absolutely will return for my next auto service needs.

Last summer I started having problems with my car where it would not stay running after initially starting. I took it to the dealership and they kept it for two days and could not diagnose the problem. I started having the same problem again this year when the temperatures warmed up. Again, the dealer was unable to diagnose the problem and could provide me with no advice as to how to correct the problem. I took my car to Bergman's upon recommendations of my co-workers. They told me what they thought the problem was, diagnosed it correctly, and then replaced the faulty relay within a timely and cost effective manner. They even made a special trip to the dealer to pick up the part late on a Friday afternoon! I was very pleased and my car is running fine now!

I asked them to check on the a/c and also try to identify why my car was so noisy while driving. During my visit, they removed a piece under the driver seat that was rusted and falling off, thinking that might have been the issue. They also took it for a drive and heard that the wheel bearing needed to be replaced, so they said they could fix that as well. Bergman found the a/c compressor I needed and did all of the work for $650, compared to $1500 quoted at other places. The did the a/c compressor and the wheel bearing on the same day, and were friendly and kind. I'll definitely bring my other vehicle in when it's due for maintenance!

My minivan started making some terrible noise while braking. I decided to call Bergman's as they had done some service on the van before and are highly rated by my co-workers and fellow Angie's List members. I called them on May 18 and scheduled an appointment on May 20. I dropped the van off at 8:30am and they called me with an estimate about an hour later. I approved the estimate and the work was completed by 11:30am. The price was reasonable and the quality of work was excellent as usual.

The experience was fine. They always do a good job. We have used this company for about four years. We are always happy with the results. There may be a day or two wait to get in for something, but they will respond to emergency situations.

These guys are marvelous. It is a family business, and they take care of their customers. Their prices are more than fair.

They gave it a total check over. It was just dying on me, and they were able to find the problem. Another thing I like is that they will check it for free and not charge if nothing is wrong. In this instance there was a fluke in the system (just a small wiring issue), and they didn't charge us a dime.

I HAVE FOUND THEM TO BE RELIABLE. THEIR CHARGES ARE REASONABLE IN COMPARISON TO OTHERS. I HAD A PROBLEM WITH A BELT THEY CHANGED. THEY WERE GLAD TO ADJUST IT. WHEN THE ADJUSTMENT DID NOT WORK, THEY REPLACED THE BELT AT NO CHARGE TO US. I HAD AN OLDER VEHICLE WITH A BAD ENGINE. I HAD IT TOWED TO THEM AND THEY CHECKED IT OVER. THEY LET ME KNOW IT WASN'T WORTH REPAIRING. THEY LET ME STORE IT THERE UNTIL I HAD SOMEONE TO COME AND TAKE IT AWAY. THEY DID NOT CHARGE ME FOR THE STORAGE.

I CALLED TO EXPLAIN THE SYMPTOMS. HE DIAGNOSED ON THE PHONE & GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE OF $800 TO REPLACE THE CLUTCH IN THE TRANSMISSION. THE PART COST WAS OVER $600 PLUS 3.5 HOURS ESTIMATED LABOR AT $65 PER HOUR. I DROPPED THE CAR OFF WITH A REQUEST TO ALSO REPLACE A FAILED COOLANT SENSOR. HE COMPLETED THE WORK IN ONE DAY. THE TOTAL BILL WAS $900 INCLUDING THE COOLANT SENSOR REPLACEMENT. AS ALWAYS BOTH MECHANICS, JEFF AND GREG, WERE FRIENDLY AND COURTEOUS. THE QUALITY AND PROMPTNESS OF THE WORK IS EXCELLENT.

YOU CAN TRUST WHAT THEY TELL YOU ABOUT YOUR VEHICLE.

I LOVE THIS COMPANY! I HAVE USED THEM FOR YEARS. THESE ARE TWO OF THE MOST HONEST MEN IN AUTO SERVICE! MANY TIMES THEY WILL HELP ME TO FIX WHAT IS WRONG WITHOUT BRINGING IN MY CAR!
