My unit works like a charm now. I've been using them for 2 years now. They're very nice and polite. Very lovely.

On the scheduled day, they came out, on time, removed all my old equipment (half of which was in the attic), installed a new system, tested it, and cleaned up after themselves. Whole job took one day. The guys are all friendly, pleasant, positive, clean, and efficient. They cleaned up after themselves, discussed the job with me, and I had nothing more to do. Great job!

I thought they were wonderfully knowledgeable. They suggested what we needed for our two level house. We liked their professionalism. We appreciated that they came out after the installation to make sure everything was satisfactory.

We have used them before as well. I will definitely use them again if needed. I rate them high overall.

The humidifier has been running for almost a week with no problems. I'm happy with the device installed and the vendor that did the work.

The man who came our to repair our furnace was extremely thorough and helpful. We decided to purchase a new one and the owner came over to discuss our options. Once we made a decision they came out several days later to put our new furnace in. The experience was very postive.

I was really impressed with them. I thought their service guys were very nice and very helpful. Their office people were able to answer my questions or find somebody that could answer my questions. I was actually really happy with that. I spoke to one of the owners. I was just real happy with their service. It felt like a real personable service. I found them through Angie's List. Everything seems to be fine. I would use them again in the future if needed.

Our feeble, old central air conditioning unit gave out after the stretch of 90-degree+ days. We called Appel based on the Angie's list recommendations. The Appel reps were very thorough and professional. We especially liked that repair/diagnostics and sales are handled separately. The repairman came to our house promptly, was very courteous, gave us his diagnosis, explained it, and referred us to the Appel office. An Appel representative came out separately with information and recommendations about different types of replacement units. He also answered other questions we had about the now-deceased air conditioning unit and the remaining furnace/blower. After we selected the A/C unit we wanted, the work was done promptly; I think it was the next day, but honestly can't remember, because all of those blistering July and August days blurred together. At any rate, it was done quickly enough that I don't remember waiting. The new unit works great, and we've been happy with how much quieter it is than our old unit. (At first we thought it wasn't working, because it is so quiet.)

I had Appel replace both our furnace and air conditioning unit. Our furnace had completely went out and our air conditioner was being repaired yearly so it was a good choice to have both replaced at the same time. It was definitely cost effective. I felt like we were given a fair price. I had gotten 2 other estimates but really liked what Appel was offering so decided on them. I was determined not to have a heat pump and although that is was most were pushing, Appel offered us that, but once they knew I was not interested they found exactly what I wanted at a price I thought was fair. The instillation went according to plan and the furnace and air conditioner have been working wonderfully. I would definitely recommend them.

Initially, a repair call. Based on the price to fix and the age of the furnace, we chose to go with a new furnace. The price met our expectations - they were able to get the install schedule incredibly fast. I have utilized Appel in our previous home as well. Great people, great service, always professional.

I have a very good opinion of them. I wouldn't discount them in any category.

Two service reps arrived a little after 9 a.m. and finished around 6 p.m. They first removed the failed Lennox units (that had been serviced by another company which made repeated replacements of expensive components), then installed the new units. At my request, a service call was made on 11/1/11, primarily because the unit was not keeping the house at the temperature set on the thermostat. The service rep felt the problem was the way the thermostat was set when it was installed (it has functioned ok since he adjusted it). The sales rep also had trouble opening the thermostat to the batteries when he was here on 9/28/11, so the service rep also was able to open the thermostat and show how to change batteries. Finally, I asked about the occasional vibration noise inside our house near where the outside unit is located. The service rep was unable to correct that, although agreeing that it was noisier than average. He suggested contacting our sales rep, which we have not done.

We have used this company in the past for service and they are great to work with. They replaced the unit and truly are an A+ Company!

All went very well; equipment installed over 2 days. Called for estimate one afternoon when A/C quit working during extremely hot weather. Came next day and provided estimates for various amounts of work (see above description for different estimates requested). Installed new A/C two days after estimate, which was the quickest of about 6 companies that provided estimates. They also had the best pricing - they were at least $2,000 cheaper than other companies that came out and provided bids for A/C replacement and high efficiency furnace replacement. Whole house humidifier was a last minute add on, so we don't know how that price compared. The new furnace and humidifier could have been installed within a couple of days of the A/C install, but we chose to delay for a more convenient day for our schedules. The installers arrived on time, were very professional and courteous and kept me informed as to how the install was going throughout the job. They also arrived with the Citizens Gas rebate form completed as much as they could complete; all I had to do was sign and mail in, which was great. They used drop cloths everywhere they worked inside the main house and left the area as they'd found it upon arrival when they left. They clearly explained how to operate the equipment and were patient with all questions. We would definitely use them again without hesitation. The owner has since called to schedule a post-installation inspection, but we delayed that until October, so it hasn't occurred yet.

The installation went well. They do good work and are great to work with. They were prompt and the installation crew was very presentable, professional. I have used this company in the past and continue to recommend them.

It went well. The service nan was here in 2hours. He replaced the necessary parts and got me running again.

I called because the AC was not keeping up with the afternoon heat. He checked everything and added some refrigerant and cleaned the condenser coils. He was very good to explain everything he was doing and why. He offered me a service plan that included servicing the heater in the fall that was no more expensive than just the servicing of the AC would have been.
