Excellent customer service on the phone. You get the impression that it is a small family company that still cares about the customers. The owner even spoke to me on the phone to ensure they accurately meet the special troubleshooting needs we had with the furnace. The technician that was sent to the home was very knowledgeable and explained everything he did and how to operate the equipment he installed. The price Appel charged me was far less than the competitor's quote ( the competitor was not even knowledgeble about the right equipment and proper troubleshooting). I am very happy with this company.

During one of the major snow storms this year our furnace went out. We called the company that we had the warranty with, but they said that they were unable to get to us because the weather was so bad. We planned to stay at a hotel that night because of this, but our street had not yet been plowed, so we could not get there. We called Appel Heating & Air Conditioning because we had heard such wonderful things about them and they were at our home within an hour! It was after business hours, but the salesman used his personal 4-wheele drive vehicle to bring the technician to our home and they had the furnace working in 20 minute. I think this was extraordinary service and they definitely went above and beyond.

About five years ago, I selected Appel from three quotes to replace both furnaces and air conditioners in my 230 year old house. I'm happy to report that 5 years later I'm very happy with my decision. They come out twice a year for inspection and service and have proven to be professional, responsive and very concerned with customer service. I would recommend them for any heating or air conditioning service (ask for Chris, he's the best).

It was a fair price. The installers were excellent. They did a great job. They were very friendly. They encountered some unanticipated problems during the installation. They did a great recovery on that so it worked out very fine.

They do a great job. I am on a service plan. We are all on a first name basis and if someone is not available, they call me right back with someone that is available. They have very, very knowledgeable technicians. I get my money's worth and they always do the job right.

Appel replaced our furnace on short notice when a problem was found with our old furnace during routine maintenance. Appel went above and beyond our expectations to meet our scheduling needs by installing the new furnace late on a Friday afternoon. We have used Appel for many years for service of our furnace and air conditioning unit and have always been very pleased with their high quality service and professionalism.

Unfortunately a rough year for my auto repair shop. Appel just replaced 2 gas forced-air heaters with one infra-red unit in the shop. They did that job on a Saturday when were closed and it works great. Then between polar vortexes passing through the office furnace quit. They came out the morning I called and had us running before the next polar vortex. Good people to business with. Thanks Nate and crew!

The breakers were a special order so he bypassed one for a temporary fix so we had heat. We had our triplet grandsons (18 months) and a granddaughter along with their parents in for the holidays so it was important to have heat. Appel then found a cheaper source for the breaker and saved us over half from the manufacturer's cost. They came out the following Saturday to replace it just in time to have full capacity for the big freeze.

Appel came in and did a thorough evaluation of our needs and made suggestions for appropriate models. I feel they did an excellent job in both phases, and that they were more than fair in terms of pricing. In fact, I decided to get a higher priced model than what they suggested, in order to improve the efficiency to the highest, rather, than merely reasonable, environmental standards. I TRUST this company, and continue to use them for our continuing maintenance and service.

I wasn't charged anything because my furnace is still under warranty. This was the second time they had to come and fix it. They are nice. They are always professional and good.

It was a full day install but the technician was meticulous. Not only was it a quality unit, but the finished product looks great. The house is noticeably warmer with the new programmable thermostat and my utility bill was noticeably lower. A heater is never a sexy purchase but they make you feel good about it when it's all over. They will be back when my ac unit dies this spring!

It was Friday night at 6 pm & the furnace stopped working. The temp is dropping to 15 degrees tonight & much colder tomorrow. It had to be fixed ASAP. I contacted several HVAC contractors; all except Eric at Appel HVAC said it would be the next day at the earliest. Eric understood my dilemma and although said it might be two hours; he would come by tonight. He came by much sooner as it turned out and it was a simple fix. So my family will not freeze tonight thanks to Appel Heating and Cooling customer service. I would not use anyone else.

Scott the owner took a personal interest in my project and came out to measure the home and windows. He made sure to meet all the needs and specifications of my home and made sure the units work well together. Scott was very thorough in making sure the units selected to install would be precisely fit to the needs of my property. The installation went very smoothly. They showed up on time and worked diligently. They cleaned up thoroughly afterwards. Approximately 2 weeks after the job, Mr. Appel paid a visit to make sure everything was working correctly. He made certain that I received the discounts and rebates and sent the paperwork himself. This is a family owned business and everyone at the company was great to work with and quick to return my calls. I cannot say enough good things about my experience and this company.

Second opinion could not find a crack. Furnace checked out fine.

Scott came to our house to provide an estimate for a replacement heat pump. After I told him what was wrong with the old unit, he offered to have a technician come out for a free repair estimate. Their estimate for repair was about half of other estimates I had, making the repair more financially attractive than replacement. We elected to try the repair. After replacing the broken valve, it was decided that more repairs were in order, bring the total cost of repair to about 40% of a new system. Thus, we finally decided to replace the heat pump and air handler. Scott was willing to match other quotes we had, so the price was very competitive. The installation team was very professional, answered all my questions without complaint. They cleaned up after themselves and left me with a much nicer looking air handler and ductwork set-up than I had previously.

We had a strange humming sound coming from our HAVC system Called Appel and a tech came out. Tech came on time and diagnosed the problem immediately, as ice in the unit. He immediately went about clearing the ice from the unit. He told us that we may need a new AC unit but did not pressure us to buy on. Instead he charged the AC unit and said that we should wait untitled spring when will check it again for leaks. The tech applied a sealing compound where it was leaking. The tech was great and the service and honesty from Appel Heating and cooling is the best.
