They fully explained what they were doing in the appointment in real detail. They were here on time and got the job done early. They were here for about a day and a half.

Everything turned out fine. I had no problems with scheduling. There were around four people doing the work and it took around three days to complete.

They made a horrible mess in my basement and did a very poor job of cleaning it up. When I complained about a bulge in the wall from leakage, they said it was my fault. I would not use them again nor would I recommend them to my friends. I do not remember the actual cost, but it was expensive. I would not give them anything but maybe a D+.

I have not had any troubles with their work. The owner was personable as well as the crew that came out. Scheduling an appointment was fine and I had no issues.

They are just fantastic! He couldn’t have been nicer to me. They did the work when it was turning really cold and I could not get anyone to come out to work on it. They worked me in the same week I called and got the roof put on before the snow came.

Their process really worked. I have not had any water in the basement in 9 years. I had the most wonderful experience with them. The vice president came out and over saw the entire project. They were actually not happy with the outcome so they made them re-do parts of the work.

Everything went fine other than the final payment. I was a little disappointed that they didn't honor the coupon I found in the Angie's List booklets.

I am a Real Estate Professional and contacted this company to get a quote on Foundation Repair. The person who answered the phone I found to be extremely Rude and Unprofessional. There was "No" discussing what was needed. She appeared to be reading a script and when I explained that was not how the process would work in this transaction, she was very condescending and be assured I would not recommend anyone in my profession using this company.

Called A-1 to set up an estimate with Wayne Roberts and was given a 3:30 PM appointment on Thursday, June 5th. I explained to the receptionist that Mr. Roberts would need to walk around to the REAR door in the back of the house to meet me since my tenant lives in the front and if anyone knocks on the front door I would not be able to hear it or know that someone had arrived. My tenant was not even home at the time of this appointment so I wouldn't know if Mr. Roberts (or, anyone else for that matter) attempted knocking on the front door. I do know that no note was left on my tenant's door and I received no calls from Mr. Roberts. This is why I clearly stated to the receptionist to have him go to the rear door. I waited up until 5:00 PM thinking that Mr. Roberts might have been running late and it was now approaching 5:00 PM as I tried calling the office and there was no answer. Where was Mr. Roberts and why didn't he call to let me know where he was or that he couldn't make it? This turned out to be a complete no show as I never received a call of apology later in the evening (or, even the next day) to reschedule the appointment. Extra note: I simply do not believe as to what Mr. Roberts is saying in his reply to be true since no one called me back (not Mr. Roberts, or, the receptionist) and I could not reach anyone on the phone after being home all that afternoon. I definitely did not receive or hear a knock at my door (if he did walk around to the rear door in back as instructed) since I was home the entire time. Also, have already had the basement work completed by another company who was willing to meet with me in person for the estimate and has responded to all phone calls and emails. Mr. Roberts, you dropped the ball with a potential customer.

Wayne came out and one thing I liked is he didn't try to sell me a whole basement package. He informed me of what he was going to do and I accepted his estimate right away as it was reasonable. He gave me a five year guarantee on his work. They cleaned up nicely after the job.

I am a home owner who prefers to get at least three estimates before having work completed. A-1 was our second estimate. The first company told us we would need to dig up the concrete around the perimeter of our basement, install drain pipes under the footers, and have concrete poured back in. They had a lovely set of materials printed to show me exactly what they would be doing. It was convincing. The estimate was around $7,000. Wayne, from A-1 came out today and told me we had already taken care of half of our problem, just by installing a working air conditioning system and dehumidifier. He then shared his expert opinion as to how we could remedy the rest with caulk and hydraulic concrete. I'm going to try his suggestion. If it does not work, I'm likely to hire his company for the fix, due to his honesty. We were ready to spend $7k, now we might get the problem fixed for under $100. I'm thrilled!

Provider gave an estimate twice as high as other companies providing the same service. I emailed the company w/my complaint and did not hear back from the company.

I contacted them at the recommendation of another Angie's List service provider. He spent a lot of time and was very thorough. However, despite me providing him with my email address on 2 occasions, I never received an estimate or any written results of his findings. I am reluctant to use him for any work.

They were very, very nice. They were honest and told me there was nothing that needed to be done. I really appreciated that because some people wouldn't have been quite as honest.

He also recommended someone, a subcontractor to come out and actually build me a crawl space door or hatch and he has done that. He has done a very good job. That wasn't even part of his company. He had nothing to gain from that. The gentleman that owns A-1 I thought was very good, very professional. Very friendly. I was very pleased with him. But it was only a quote. It wasn't service provided.

The crew who performed the work was very professional and quiet and respectful of both me and my home.

from talking to the provider and what he explained to me I decided to go another direction but I liked what he said and explained to me.

Workers showed up as scheduled on 9/30/2013 and started on the wall that needed replaced. In the process of tearing out the wall they found out that there wasn't a footing under that wall. Our project supervisor Ed suggested that we have a footing put in so the new wall would have proper support? The other wall did not have a footer under it either, so they dug down and put a steel beam under it and installed two low profile piers under it. This was done so we didn't have to replace that wall. It also stabilized and kept it from sagging any further. Next they installed the drainage system in the basement floor,connected it to the sump pit. They also ran the sump pump drainage line out the basement wall out into the yard. After the project was done they cleaned up inside and out beyond my expectations. I would highly recommend A-1 Waterproofing to anyone who need this type of work done.

They arrived when they said. Everything was fixed in a timely manner. The workers were nice. Everything was cleaned up before they left. Overall we are pleased with the good job.

The employee told us what he thinks is wrong with the wall area that leaked. He said since it is a small job we should call someone else and gave me the card of someone who he recommends.

From contacting for a free estimate, inspections, follow up, and actual work done to completion, everyone involved at A1 was wonderful. I was always informed of procedures, start and complete dates, how the work would be done. I was encouraged to contact them with any questions at any time. The assistance provided for financing was also easy and affordable. The workers showed up on time each day and worked the full day. At each step in the procedure and was shown the work completed and informed of the next step. They were also very kind and professional. I would recommend A1 Waterproofing highly

I was extremely satisfied with the service of A-1 Waterproofing. It is hard these days to get companies to do what's right, be prompt, etc. This company went overboard to do everything they could to make it a good experience. I have no complaints whatsoever. I would highly recommend them to solve any water issues with a basement.

We needed someone to clean out the crawl space in our home where the builders had left some bricks, plumbing, and wood products. We also needed to have a sump pump installed, drainage put in, and joists replaced. A-1 Waterproofing was extremely responsive, helpful, and professional. They were willing to work with us on a solution instead of just offering a one-size solution that was more than we needed like the other providers we talked to about the problem. All work was performed per the contract. These contractors cleaned up behind themselves. They were cordial and very professional. I would recommend A-1 anytime, anyplace.

it went well. Had the job done 25 years ago. Yes 25 years. did a great job and came with a lifetime guarantee.It started leaking a little again,so I called them up and they came in a couple of day"s. found the problem and repaired it.Had them install a new sump pump a couple of weeks later.They did a real good job both times. They also said they would repair some demaged cement work because it was the right thing to do for a customer .I am happy with there work They"ll be back in a couple of weeks to repair the work.
