This contractor was terrific. He serviced our boiler in Wheaton in September. He was efficient, and did a great job. We were very pleased

Nick arrived ontime and went right to work. He was very pleasant and explained what he would be doing. He started with the humidifier and took it apart and cleaned it in the laundry tub. He replaced the filter and put it back together again. He then provided a complete inspection and cleaning of the furnace. He checked to make sure the burner was operating efficiently and also checked for Carbon Monoxide and Gas leaks. Nick was very professional and courteous and will ask for him in the spring when we service the AC.

I requested a quote on a furnace and humidifier. Unique's estimator Bill came to my house and did a thorough review of my HVAC system and answered all of my questions. He was helpful and pleasant. Another contactor offered a better price so I went with that instead.

I was able to get same day service. My very old thermostat was not working. I guess it could have been repaired but I wanted a more modern one anyway. The install was quick and efficient. The technician was very knowledgeable. I really appreciated the way he explained everything and did not talk down to me.

I called on a Tuesday looking for a Saturday appointment, figuring that there would be no way they could fit us in for a few weeks. Instead, they were able to secure us a first-visit spot that Saturday morning. Nick showed up promptly at the appointed hour, and performed a thorough inspection. He immediately discovered that the lines connecting 2 of our 3 heat zones were disconnected, and worked to fix them, and then text all of the heat zones. He was very good at explaining the system to us, and even took the time to show my husband how to properly "bleed" the radiators in the house. Nick was courteous and professional, and the overall cost was very fair. We will definitely being using Unique again for our heating and cooling needs!

Unique installed our furnace and did a great job. So when it comes to maintenance we won't call anyone else.

I have used Unique Indoor Comfort Heating and Air Conditioning Service for nearly 15 years. I have purchased two furnaces, one condenser and one water heater from them. Every employee is responsive and works hard to ensure the customer's satisfaction. The office staff is totally competent and it is such a pleasure to talk to a real, intelligent person! Every technician is prompt, competent and respectful of your home and time. Best of all, they employ people with decades of experience: I had a drainage problem with condensation coming off one furnace. Two visits did not solve the situation, so the "grey haired guys" came, took one look and the solution was installed. I have total confidence in this company. They are not the cheapest, but you will not be ripped off!

Called late Sunday afternoon after arrived home to cold home and pilot on boiler would not start. Brian arrived within the hour and was exceedingly professional, courteous and prompt. He quickly fixed the issue and clearly explained what was required. He was very knowledgeable about the issue and any possible future services or upgrades that were possible and, more importantly, cost effective. Great experience, I will go with Unique and request Brian for future services.

I contacted Unique Indoor Comfort and they provided a bid for installing a Unico (spacepak-type) high velocity A/C system into our 1870s home. They had good reviews online and had been installing these systems for 30+ years. They provided a quote and were reasonable and fair to work with (in an attempt to get the job), but after I signed/approved their estimate it fell apart. Once approved it took them more than 3 weeks to begin work (despite their contract stating they could begin within 3-5 days). Further, I had communicated the necessity of having the job completed by a certain date so that we could move-in and do other construction work, of which they did not meet. Once 'complete' (term loosely used), they had left a junction box uncovered/exposed and left our attic ceiling cover poorly installed, and the A/C flipped a breaker one week later. As far as the junction box - they told me they didn't have the cover with them but that they would come back in a week or so to put it on...its been 4 weeks thus far and nothing. The attic cover was installed so that it showed the rough edge of the drywall ceiling and left a gap between the trim and ceiling . It looks horrible. I had to take it down myself and will put up new trim and ceiling cover to make it tolerable..probably 2 hours of work for me that they should have done. The breaker flip they claim was done by another contractor, but it is in an area that no other contractors were working. What put me over the edge was when they decided they were going to charge me an extra $200+ for a 'service call' to fix the non-worker A/C on a $18,000 job they did just a few days prior. And even if it was flipped by another contractor, $200 to flip a switch is absurd (again, if that was the actual problem). I've contacted the salesperson 3+ times to try to get them out to fix the junction box, he has stopped returning my emails. The initial sales pitch was '100% satisfaction guaranteed'. I'm not satisfied and they've yet to resolve these issues. What's most frustrating is that I rarely if ever am dissatisfied with services like this. I think the A/C system actually works just fine, but they just did so many things along the way to frustrate me and not deliver on their promises. My actual installers were nice guys (Mark and Bobby), and the sales guy who did the original quotes was helpful and nice in getting the job (Carl), but once things weren't going smoothly he was unable to help step-in to move it forward to completion and has now stopped answering my emails. Some caveats - we hired them right in the midst of the 100+ degree days this summer. I'm sure they had lots of other jobs going on and were swamped. But still, a contract is a contract and they shouldn't agree to dates if they can't meet them. Lastly, I'm currently unpaid on my final balance because I still believe it is incomplete (they haven't covered the junction box which presents an electrical fire/shock risk). Once they complete the job, I'll pay my bill, but until then I feel like it is the only leverage I have to get them out to complete the job.

It was very difficult to do because I have a hot water boiler for my heat. I got five estimates, and their estimate was right in the range with everyone else, but they seemed much more knowledgeable. They were professional. They started and finished the job exactly when they said they would. I am a hundred percent satisfied with them, despite the fact that it cost so much money. They were the only company that gave a 10-year guarantee on parts and service.

It worked out great for me and did a great job. They do high quality work, their craftsmanship, they were prompt, cleaned up and everything was great. I would definitely recommend them to someone. My overall experience with them was an A but because I had to coordinate with another it was a bit difficult. I had a separate flooring contractor but other then that I would give them an A.

Unique is a great company. They are prompt, efficient and professional. They send reminders when service is due. We also pay a little extra because they have to use a ladder to get to the roof.

I had the owner of the company call me to make sure everything was performing well. I always get a follow up call after any work. They come when they say they will.
