I called Dry Otter Basement Waterproofing and they returned my call within 5 minutes and sent someone out the next morning. We got estimates from two companies and went with Dry Otter because of price and they didn't try to sell us other items we didn't need, like a new sump pump and dehumidifier, like the other company. The worker came on time, was very professional and a pleasure to work with. The job took 3 hours and he left the work space very clean. I would highly recommend them to others.

Co-owners Nick and Jonathan were WONDERFUL to work with! Very polite and professional. They did exactly what we discussed and our basement has been bone dry ever since! I would highly recommend them to anyone who asks.

We thought the installation was fine but the pipes they put outside were to be underground. They were too close to the surface and after 2 yrs the pipes are totally exposed. I have called them 3 times, many months apart, and they assured me they would be out to fix it. They have never called or come to our house to even see the problem. I would not recommend them as they are not standing behind their work. They lied to me 3 times by assuring me they would be out to fix it and not following thru. They finally called and came out to fix it. It looks fine and we are satisfied with their work.

I was very happy with this company. The crack turned out to be bigger than expected and the serviceman (whose name I've forgotten, forgive me) explained everything as he went through the work so my expectations shifted as needed. He did a great job on the actual job and cleaned up after himself, which, sadly, I found out is rare for many contractors. He also answered our questions related to another water issue in the basement and even though it wasn't at all in the description of what he was there for, he was happy to explain it to me and then again to my husband when he got home. Essentially, he was giving us free advice, which I greatly appreciated. Also, he was patient with questions and more than friendly. I would recommend without hesitation.

Dry Otter Basement Waterproofing showed up on time and I did not any problems with their services but the quoted price was high so I would not be using them.

He was very straight-forward, polite, knows his stuff. He was very responsive and punctual and very professional. I don't imagine we would use him again as we won't need this particular thing done again.

Nothing was done since I never received an estimate.

The owner was very good and very prompt. He made sure he took are of everything. The only bad thing was that some of the workers took off the siding in the basement and they left it and they didn’t say anything about how they would leave and come back and finish.

Nick was very professional, prompt, caring, and clearly very knowledgeable about his trade. He told us he'd have a quote to us within two days, which he did. His quote was reasonable, and he could fit us in in good time. We did end up using another company, simply because we decided that we'd like to have the basement completely finished rather than just waterproofed. We would have been very confident in hiring Dry Otter otherwise.

I have to say that I am a very picky person. I went through three quotes to get our basement waterproofed. The first people we went through were ok, but they really did not understand or want to understand our issue. The second people also put in our radon system in 2004 (which was a complete failure and then wanted $300 more dollars now to fix their mistakes which they admitted to..but that is another review) just seemed shady to say the least. But Dry Otter seemed to understand our issue and understand our constraints (we were planning on finishing our basement after the water problem was fixed). Nick (Co-owner), who is the person I dealt with, addressed every concern we had, timed everything perfectly and cares A LOT about customer satisfaction. I have/will recommended Dry Otter to my neighbors and would also have them do any additional work for us in the future.

The company was great, came on time for estimate, made the appointment to fix the crack that was convenient for me. When they came to do the work, they were very professional, on time and did outstanding work with a guarantee. Next heavy rain showed that the crack was completely sealed. Very happy !

What could have been a complete disaster has a VERY happy ending for me. I owe Nick an ENORMOUS thank you for putting together, in less than a day, the team who rebuilt my house. When the front stoop came off the house and the extent of the damage was evident, Nick went into action. Because of him, and in record time, I had the service of a quality contractor, a true artist in the stone mason, and great work by the concrete people who lay the foundation for the flagstone entry, leveled (with Nick) the driveway, and replaced only the sections that needed replacement. Working with Nick was a total pleasure. He always returned emails or calls, He stopped by often to check on progress, He worked well with everyone (and there were many) who worked on the house. Aside from his contacts and managerial skills, Nick found a problem and then went ALL out to fix it. His work and work ethic are exemplary and I would highly recommend his services to anyone.

I would say it is okay. The service was fine but they broke a pipe. I called them on Friday but they didn't come and fix it until Sunday. By that time we already had damage and they kind of patched it, but I wasn't really impressed with their response. It was disappointing but I thought their price was good. I am not sure if I will use them again in the future.

After weeks of waiting for a estmate, recieved a email informing us he has decided to pass on out job. Glad I found another cement lifting company thats been in busines for 40 years,

My husband exposed the foundation wall himself. There was a crack that went from the top to the bottom in the corner of the foundation. Dry Otter drilled access holes along the crack and injected it with a high pressure compound to seal up the crack. My husband did the rest of the repair (the wall, etc.) himself. But he was pleased with job Dry Otter did, and wished he had hired them previously, as he had tried to fix that crack on his own ten years before.

They were very quick with a response and a bid - very professional throughout the process. They did exactly what was needed; they did a great job.

This was a challenging project. I was looking for someone to do the difficult job of installing a sealed vapor barrier and drainage system in the very confined crawlspaces underneath my house, which is located by a lake. The water table is high. The house was constructed with two separate, vented crawlspaces with dirt floors. The continuous presence of moisture, aggravated by flooding in recent years, was causing high humidity, condensation and mold growth in the structure of the first floor. The moisture needed to be prevented at the source. Several companies had looked at the situation and given me either a high pricetag or said they couldn't do it. I was hopefull when I found Dry Otter Basement Waterproofing by chance on Angie's List. I called Nick, described the situation, he came out and took a close look, and said he'd talk to his colleagues and get back to me. Within a few days I received a quote which was very competitive. He answered all my questions and concerns with the quote and I decided to go forward with his company. The project began as scheduled. Unfortunately for the guys the weather was lousy: rain, wind, cold, even snow. But they worked hard in pretty tight quarters and got the job done pretty much on schedule. I appreciated that Nick and his partner were there doing the work, not an unsupervised crew, and the work was done well. I inspected the work, found a few ares that needed additional attention, and Nick followed through quickly and professionally, personally returning several times to take care of the final details. The crawlspaces are no longer nasty, smelly, dirty, dark, buggy places, but fairly bright, clean, almost nice to be in...when you have to be in them. I was pleasantly surprised by the company's professionalism and customer orientation. Everyone I spoke with was nice, and they all worked hard in a miserable space in lousy weather. You don't often find that. My suggestions for improvement would be to use a more detailed contract itemizing the details discussed prior to signing and starting work. They made a couple of changes during the project without checking with me first. They responded well to my questions and concerns about those changes. They provide an annual checkup to maintain the barrier and equipment.
