Polar completed a furnace cleaning and duct cleaning for me. When setting up the work order, I had told Polar that I did not want the air ducts to be cleaned because this is handled through my condo association dues. To be fair, I did misspeak in saying that the ducts had already been cleaned when in fact it was only the dryer vent that had been cleaned recently. The air duct cleanings through the condo are upcoming. I was angry that the company performed work I had requested they not complete because it would have been an unnecessary expense. The company's initial Angie's List was less than fair and accurate. However, I have since received a call from the owner who apologized and made things right. The initial misunderstanding appears to have been a fluke. The punctuality, professionalism, friendliness, and work quality of the Polar technicians has been beyond reproach. I would recommend Polar Heating and Cooling without reservation.

They were very punctual, and clean. Both men were very courteous, and worked consistently for 4 hours. I could not have asked for better service people, they did a great job.

Excellent service. I always ask for and get the same technician. He has been servicing my furnace and A/C units for years.

They were very good and it was much better than my usual experience with this sort of contractor. They responded to two things that I thought needed to be corrected: the placement of the thermostat and the ventilation of the furnace. They said that the furnace did not need to be ventilated because it is not in a very small space, but it was recommended to us by an efficiency auditor and Polar did it. You can’t ask for anything more than people making good on things that you feel weren’t done the way you prefer. We looked into several firms and they seemed to have the best deal. The furnace runs very well. The only wrinkle was that I asked for more counseling about how to adjust the dampers, but it didn’t seem to be working out that well at a certain point. They noted that the contract says I am only entitled to one adjustment at this time, and that was disappointing.

I wasn't home at the time so a family members represented me. I did speak with the technician by phone during his visit. He told me what I needed and the cost of the repair. He also said that my unit was old (12 years) and probably wouldn't last much longer. My representative was pleased with the technician.Her account of his inspection seemed superficial to me so I got another estimate.

I would give Polar Heating and Air an excellent rating. As explained above, they were the lowest in cost and did a professional job.
