We ordered a custom couch from Darvin. After visiting in March, we purchased the couch April 21st because we were told it would take 4-6 weeks to be delivered, which would correspond with our move-in date of our new house. The "end of May" -our delivery period noted on our receipt - came and went. We called our salesperson, Ed, who told us our order had never been placed. We were told they would rush the order and it should be on a truck by June 6. We called back on June 13th and were told that it would not be delivered before the end of June. A remedy - they'll give us our delivery fee back. They did not order our couch, were untruthful about the delivery date, and offer a $75 resolution. Meantime, we've had no living room couch for the first two months in our new house. Before moving to this house, we did extensive remodeling using several Angie's List contractors who were amazing. We'd love to show off their work - if we ever get seating for anyone!

The salesman we had was pretty good and they had a good selection. He did not try to make any unnecessary upsells. He listened to what my wife wanted and what she was looking for. He made some very good suggestions too. The people who delivered it were quick and did what they needed to do. They explained everything about the sleeper sofa.

I needed furniture for the whole house because my house had burnt down and I had got it rebuilt. So, I had to buy everything. I have been more than pleased with Darvin?s prices, their salespersons and their delivery. They stood behind their furniture, if anything was wrong. I wouldn?t shop anywhere else.

The experience was fine with Darvin Furniture. They were here on time for delivery. They took the plastic off for me. They took the old couch out, and brought the new one in. I asked them to wait, because I wanted to vaccum under where the other couch was. It was raining and they were very nice about that.

This was the worst furniture buying experience of my life and I will never purchase anything from this company again. We went to Darvin and purchased the unit and it was to be delivered the next weekend. That weekend, we didn't even have the delivery men move the unit off the truck, it was so damaged. The second time, the hutch was not built square and did not rest properly on the console. The same thing happened the third time! The final time, even though the unit wasn't completely acceptable, we just gave up. Throughout the entire experience, the individuals we spoke with at Darvin never once tried to repair the relationship with us, such as offer us a discount or coupon, or attempt to schedule the delivery in a smaller window. They were completely incapable of delivering an acceptable product, yet they never attempted to do anything about it.

Even though it's more than 20 miles from our home, Darvin has become our family furniture store. The salespeople work hard without being pushy and the selection and prices are excellent. We've previously bought from Plunkett, Carsons, and La-Z-Boy, but now always go first to Darvin and nearly always find what we want at a price we consider a good value. One particular good point is that they have so much in stock and deliver so quickly--none of this waiting six to ten weeks for your new furniture.

The showroom was nice, the salesperson was helpful. We ordered a custom order couch, which came in on schedule, but the delivery personnel scratched our freshly painted walls a little. The first time I sat on the couch, it make a creaking noise. We thought it was a breaking in period, but the noise didn't go away. I called Darvin, and they sent a repair person to try to fix it. He took the whole back apart, but still couldn't fix it. Even though it is a custom couch, they replaced the couch with a new one. The new one makes a little noise. We have our fingers crossed. Darvin was nice to work with, but they are a little too far for the amount of savings we got. We will never by a Broyhill couch again.

Rob Elmore (sales associate) was very helpful in assisting us with our selection. He was very knowledgeable and had some useful suggestions. He was very patient and attentive without being pushy. Darvin delivered the furniture within the estimated time (and called 2 days ahead with a delivery reminder and four hour window of delivery time). A representative phoned us after delivery to ask if we were satisfied with our purchase/delivery - that was a nice touch.

The store itself is very large & nice. Salepeople are pleasant. They call to let you know the 4-hour delivery schedule. The delivery men were horrible. They were very poorly trained (or not trained at all). They couldn't figure out how to get a normal-sized dresser up the stairs. They hit the wall with the nightstand. Drawers were opening as they were carrying the 2 items in the house. They pushed the dresser upside down on the carpet into the bedroom!! Had never seen any movers do that before. There were 4 of them; otherwise, I would call them "the 3 stooges". The moving company was definitely outsourced. I didn't expect this from Darvin.

I went to Darvin furniture for help with redecorating my home office into a big girl room for our daughter. They provided Brand and selection recommendations and helped determine the necessary pieces and placement.

EACH YEAR (FOR THE LAST 5-6 YEARS) MY WIFE AND I HAVE SET ASIDE SOME MONEY TO BUY SOME FURNITURE IN THE SPRING. EACH YEAR WE SHOP AT DOZENS OF STORES CLOSE TO HOME TO FIND THE BEST DEAL AND TO FIND THE STYLE WE ARE LOOKING FOR. EACH YEAR WE END UP DRIVING 45 MINUTES TO DARVIN AND FIND THAT THEY HAVE THE BEST PRICES AND BIGGEST SELECTION OF ALL THE PLACES WE VISIT. EACH TIME WE ENDED UP BUYING OUR FURNITURE FROM DARVIN.
