4Ever Remodeling

We hired 4ever remodeling to complete design and remodeling of our kitchen and bathroom. Whole process went smooth without surprises. Communication and quality of work was oustensing. They sticked within our budget.

We hired 4Ever Remodeling for extensive remodeling of our first floor, including a new kitchen and bathroom, updated living spaces, modernization of our electrical system, new HVAC ducting, and installation of a new steel beam in our basement. Damian and Magda worked with us up front on price and approach to find a way to execute the project despite many other companies bypassing the work on budget and scope concerns. Once we agreed on scope, Magda worked with us on designs for the kitchen and bathroom. In the meantime, 4Ever worked with their architect to draw plans, and expedite permit applications with the city of Chicago. In total, this process took around 5 weeks until the permit was approved and work began. 4Ever managed their own subcontractors for the majority of work and I was generally happy with the quality of their work and my interactions with them. In addition, we were able to do work ourselves around them, as well as have other contractors we managed directly work during the project without any major issues. I had A LOT of questions around specific details and Magda and Kuba were happy to answer them and provide advice. We did run into hiccups regarding our permit which required an additional permit application, and resulted in delays on the project. Communication could have been improved during this time as work came to a halt despite the fact that there were still things to be done unrelated to the permit issue. Ultimately, it came down to to the fact that most contractors want to work many consecutive days on a project instead of doing smaller things here and there, but this wasn't very clearly communicated at the time and this made us a bit nervous about the project completion and move in date. Additionally, one of our change orders was signed, but ultimately refunded because 4Ever could not find a subcontractor for the work. We ended up hiring someone ourselves and it worked out, but it caused some coordination problems near the end with finishing touches. Ultimately, things improved once the permit issues were resolved and the project was completed in around 5 months from the original permit issue date. 4Ever did a good job of managing the final punch list, and city inspections, ensuring someone was always on site to meet the inspector. We were encouraged to attend all inspections as well, which was reassuring. Overall, I would hire 4Ever Remodeling again for my next project. The quality of work is good for the price, and they did a good job of managing work to the standards of the Chicago permitting process. While we did not come in on budget, it was largely due to unforeseen circumstances with renovating an older home, permit changes, change orders for additional work, and differences in allowances calculated at the beginning of the project. Do your research up front to understand the level of fixtures and finishes you will want as that will greatly influence your shopping list budget, which 4Ever separates from their base price. In addition, make sure you have visibility as the work progresses, and follow up on things that don't look correct. Generally, they will work to fix them or explain why things are in the current state.

It was delayed, but it was an access problem in my condo building and not the fault of 4ever. Magda, our designer and project manager, helped us through the process from start to finish and was a treat to work with - she's always all smiles. Our complicated bath reno is beautiful, we love it!

Team of Damian, Konrad, Marcin were excellent! Damian was the foreman and estimator - he was prompt and prices seem to be fair. Marcin was the contractor that did all of the hands on work. Very friendly and professional. The quality of Marcin’s work was impeccable. They sent me to one of their vendors to help with my tile selections, all which I am very happy with. Konrad provided excellent communication - very prompt and responsive. He provided me a weekly schedule of work and made sure to check if I had any / questions/ concerns along the way. I’ve been remodeling my house for the last 15 years and this my last project to get done (hopefully). If I did have an upcoming project, I would definitely recommend this company.

After having four companies out this week for an estimate - these guys were by far the rudest. Being very specific about our needs for this repair the guy performing the estimate just argued and kept pushing additional unnecessary products and services even though he was asked to stop. Not very respectful to the client.

They finished early, the quality of the work done was excellent. They addressed any concerns we had immediately. Would definitely hire them again!

I am overall very happy with the remodeling work Robert and team did in the bathrooms and kitchen and I thought especially the bathroom remodels were very thoroughly done. It wasn't perfect but they were quick to fix any issues I brought to their attention. Though a little more than I wanted to spend I was happy with the timing and quality of work performed, as well as the level of communication throughout the process.

Overall it went well. The workers were professional and courteous. Magda, the designer, was a pleasure to work with. She gave us some great ideas. We were pleased with the end result of the project.

This is second time we used 4Ever Renodeling for our project. This time we did design and remodeling for our mid size kitchen. The construction was done on time and with high quality work. Their communication is on very high level as well as scheduling.

I recently did a full townhouse renovation. I was very nervous when searching for a contractor as my only other renovation experience was a nightmare. I found 4Ever Remodeling on Angie's List. I found that their quote was in line with 3 other quotes I got - but 4Ever Remodeling didn't have any hidden costs. I discovered this when I started comparing quotes and asking questions. Ultimately, I chose them and I am happy I did. They were friendly, professional, very responsive by email especially Konrad office manager, they jumped through a million hoops with my association, and they did beautiful work. I had a very tight timeline (8 weeks) and they did all they had to do to make it work. They were honest about material costs (when they were priced in line with competitors and when they may be higher). They suggested ideas without "upselling" me and were flexible when I made changes. Arthur was a life saver so many times throughout the process and dealt with my anxiety in a very level-headed way. Very good communication and scheduling.

We are extremely pleased with 4Ever Remodeling. We were referred to them by a friend who had some work done, and they have done a good deal of work in Chicago. WE were very impressed throughout the process. Jacob was the onsite contraction supervisor. He was superb, also. He was onsite daily with all workers. The office kept us well informed about the project schedule, who would be coming and what they would be doing. The project moved forward reasonably well with the only hold up being masonry work because the weather was extremely cold for a spell. The quality of work done was out standing. While they might not be the cheapest, they provide great quality of service and they are very professional and consistent in all the interactions they had with us. Would recommend Norman, and especially Damian and Conrad without hesitation. I would use them again at any time.

The entire team - Damian, Magda, Rafal - was fantastic! They were very professional and completed the job in a timely manner. They were great about providing updates and including us in the decision-making process. Even after 2 years the bathroom and laundry room look new! I will definitely use them again for future jobs.

The bathrooms turned out fantastic! We had 2 bathrooms done for around $18,000, not including the price of materials. We didn't move any plumbing around, just using the existing plumbing, but we did add some lights and outlets. We primarily worked with Magda (project manager), but Robert was the foreman. Both were great. Magda was very responsive and they took care of any concerns immediately. We love our new bathrooms!

It was a pleasure to work with 4Ever Remodeling; especially Magda, Kuba and team during our extensive basement remodel. Our previous basement was outdated and poorly laid out. Magda helped us design a more family friendly use of space. She was always very accommodating; updating drawings when unforeseen changes arose, quickly responding or meeting with us when we needed questions answered and a great help shopping for finishes. We are very happy with the quality of craftsmanship and all the workers were polite, professional and trustworthy. The job took longer than originally estimated but we are very happy with the end result, a gorgeous, functional basement for the family.

We're very glad we chose 4Ever Remodeling, and couldn't be happier with our new basement. Damian, Magda, Kuba and their team are very professional, skilled, and responsive to whatever issues arise. Their craftsmen are talented and courteous. Magda is a terrific designer, and you should definitely include her in your project. Before being renovated, our basement had been unfinished for one hundred years, and was dark, dirty and a tangle of electrical wires. Now it's the nicest room in the house...

Damian and his company did an excellent job with the project. They were professional, clean and the work was completed ahead of schedule. I asked for a few changes in the middle of the project and it all still went smoothly

We spent a little more on the job than expected, hence the B on cost, but it was well worth it. The designer, Magda, helped us greatly with design decisions and job coordination. She was excellent. She handled everything efficiently and in a timely manner. The remodeling work was done entirely by Martin. His work was really terrific. His craftsmanship in all phases of the project was superior. He was punctual, his days were as long as needed to get the job done correctly and he had great attention to detail. I can't say enough good things about his work. Upon completion every single loose end was dealt with. We were thrilled with the finished project and I would highly recommend 4ever Remodeling fro a similar project.

Overall, 4Ever Remodeling did a very good job on our basement. We are happy with the finished product, which was completed on time and close to budget. Damian, Magda, and the rest of the team were generally professional and responsive. Throughout the project, we received timely status reports and updates. They began the project a few days earlier than originally estimated, and worked long days Monday-Saturday until the job was complete...there was very little downtime. I was impressed by the team's coordination and speed at which they worked. We had a few hiccups worth noting. Based on experiences with other projects, prior to signing an agreement, we emphasized that we did not want to be hit with surprise additional costs. I am not talking about unforeseeable unknowns that arise once walls are torn down or digging begins. We were simply asking for confirmation that all items to complete the project were either included in the bid or listed in the allowances. Despite this, after signing the agreement, we were asked to pay for the following "add ons": -a shower floor (to their credit, due to an installation issue with the PVC floor we purchased, 4Ever ended up installing a tile floor) -shower door (both the door and installation!?) -relocation of a ducts (not a hidden issue as everything in the basement was exposed) -leveling of floor (also not a hidden issue) -stairs railing (rebuilding of the stairs was part of the contract; after some back and forth, 4Ever agreed to cover the railing) These might have just been unintentional oversights, and ultimately the cost of these extras was only ~5% of the total, but I point them out because I do believe 4Ever is open to feedback. Avoiding requests for extras that should have been included in the quote/allowances (shower door, shower floor, stairs railing), or were easily foreseeable (floor leveling, duct relocation) is one thing they could have done better. All that said, we would recommend them and use them for future work. The things they did right outweighed the minor issues.

We hired 4Ever Remodeling to finish our basement. They were always on time and reliable. During the extreme record-breaking cold weather this year, the team showed up to work when we weren't expecting them to and when other businesses were cold and schools were closed. We look forward to working with them on future projects!

Damian from 4Ever Remodeling and Magda came out to do kitchen design and remodeling. They were extremely helpful and provided a design that I would never have considered. Magda took some time to get to know my needs. I decided to go with 4Ever Remodeling for the remodel, and worked with Magda. 4Ever Remodeling crew were fantastic! They were there every time they said they would be, they were punctual, cleaned up at the end of each day, and worked very quickly. The work was very well done, and Magda with Conrad consulted with me throughout the process. They had good suggestions for different choices, and always let me know if something I wanted would cost extra. There were no hidden cost throughout the process - I knew exactly what I was paying for and what I was getting. I would definitely recommend 4Ever Remodeling and will use them for my new project.

They responded to my calls and concerns immediately. My kitchen is absolutely beautiful. 4Ever team did a fantastic job. He was concerned with how happy we were with his work, and he tried very hard to really make me happy with the new room he gave me. It is totally beautiful, and I and completely happy with every aspect of the job they did. I would have them do the work for me again with no doubt at all. The entire kitchen went very smoothly and clean.

4Ever Remodeling was responsive from the start, helped us through the permitting process with the city, and did quality work. This was a long process because of the city, but project and office managers made sure we were aware of what was happening throughout. He explained problems as they come on old houses and gave us different options. We felt confident that we were going to get a good result throughout. We'are very happy with how the project turned out!
